This hotel has a location convenient to Opryland and access to downtown, but has begun to really show its age. Maintenance and upgrades are badly needed. Breakfast leaves much to be desired. If you are looking for hot items, book elsewhere. Front desk staff was very nice and knew their jobs.

if you don't care about not having clean towels, your trash emptied, a well lit parking, lot free of broken glass, carpet under your feet with mystery stains then stay here. If not, Don't! Also, the area around it is not that great. there is no place to eat unless you want to eat at Waffle House. There is no decent carry out or grocery store nearby either.

We will not be back! Reserved in advance handicap accessible room, could not stay in room as the air conditioner sounded as if it was a air plane landing in your room. Was moved to regular room, which no questions asked, nor did they even check air conditioning out before placing us in a non accessible room. No air conditioning in hallways, lobby or breakfast area. Room key never worked, had to reset multiple times a day. Was told we were not allowed to use side door where the handicap parking spot was located. No room service in 4 days, was told that at time of check in. To get clean towels you go to front desk and hope someone will be attentive. I stood there way too long while waiting for attendant to finish smoking outside while she was watching me wait. Ice machine only worked on 5th floor. The room we were moved into you supposably had to leave the ceiling flood lights on for air conditioner to run. At least that’s what we were told when we couldn’t get it to turn on. So therefore you had a light shining on you as you slept. Glad to check out and would not have continued stay had it not been prepaid months prior!!

Despite reading dismal reviews on this property as a return traveler who had a good experience here a couple years ago I decided to give it a whirl based on its location and room tour availability. Booked over the phone with a la Quinta reservation agent to insure I received two adjoining rooms. I confirmed and re-confirmed that the rooms connected during booking. When I arrived the guy checking me in said my reservation was not noted with connecting rooms request and they were all unavailable. Since we were traveling as a family connecting rooms was of paramount importance and I would NOT have reserved here if I thought I’d end up with two separate rooms. He really didn’t seem to care about the inconvenience. Flatly told me there were no other room types available and nothing he could do. The room itself was as disappointing as the customer service I received upon arrival. The glass in the art on the walls was broken/punched in. Microwave door was caved/punched in. Fridge in the room did not work. Sheets and pillow cases were stained and there was a dirt-dobber nest inside the room on the curtains! Worst part was family had to split up into two different rooms despite multiple reassurances I was paying for adjoining rooms. The other room had stains all over the carpet and headboard, no working microwave, no hot water, a hole punched into the inside of the bathroom door and the AC didn’t cool overnight. In my haste only got a pic of stained sheets. Booooooo!

Seriously, do not book this hotel! The service was terrible and the rooms were atrocious. I only booked this hotel as a place to sleep for the night before continuing on with our trip but even that was too much to ask for at this hotel. The night desk receptionist was rude and once we got in the room it was even worse than you can imagine.

The carpets were so stained that you could not pay me to walk on them barefoot. The bathroom door had a giant crack in it which I can only describe as the damage that would occur if someone was trying to break down the door. There was no hand soap provided which I consider to be the basic minimum any hotel needs to provide. The heating system didn't work and the TV was fritzing out.

I could go on but I'll leave it here. Simply put, this is not worth the money even if it is the cheapest option. Pay the extra $20 for a nicer hotel where at least you won't feel as though everything around you is incredibly dirty.

If you’re looking for a clean place to stay just go ahead and look elsewhere. My wife and I booked with this hotel because it was one of the few pet friendly hotels in Nashville with decent reviews. Upon arrival we checked in and immediately took our dogs around back to the dog park. As we unloaded our dogs we noticed multiple needles and needle parts around the dog park. We didn’t worry too much about it because this can be normal in bigger cities. When we got into our room (412) we noticed an odd smell. Our German Shepherd immediately alerted on the AC vent that when opened we found marijuana residue and could see what looked like a plunger to a needle inside the vent. As we looked more around the room we noticed other issues like the taped up smoke alarm, insect trap, brown sticky substance everywhere, damaged bathroom door, dirty carpet, and random trash behind the tv. We immediately turned our keys back in and left. We should’ve never went up to the room anyways after seeing the elevator floor. Hopefully La Quinta will address the obvious miss management of this hotel soon. This review will be posted to multiple sites to hopefully keep others from wasting their time with this place.

It is never easy to hear that a guest's stay was anything less than ideal, but especially disheartening to hear when a returning guest did not have the same level of guest service and housekeeping that they experienced during their previous stay and certainly expected to receive during a repeat visit. We apologize for the smell of smoke you encountered in your guest room. Unfortunately, guests will occasionally decline to honor the no smoking status of their rooms and we try to catch that failure and to deep clean the rooms sufficiently that non-smoking guests are not negatively impacted. We obviously failed in that endeavor in the room you occupied. We sincerely hope that you will grant us the opportunity in the future to replace this experience with the type of superior experience you had become accustomed to in the past.

The second I paid for our room (one night stay) my kids and I learned 80 cars had been broken into the night before! The staff would not allow me to park right out front, I wanted my car to be covered and in good light in case this happened again... Their suggestion was to take EVERYTHING from my car, bring it to the room and leave my car doors unlocked. My goal was to actually sleep that night, so that was a big fat No!
When I asked about security the staff member told me that the 'guy is like 100 and I just had to unplug the tv from the Lobby wall because that's how he actually spends his time'!

The room was gross, toilet wasn't attached to the wall, lock on main door was Broken!, the fridge wasn't plugged in so all our food went bad, we all slept with teeshirts over our pillows when my son found stains on the bedsheets and the hallway outside our room was littered in trash.

In the lobby was a years-old missing persons sign and info, unsettling. Some of the room numbers in the hallway were torn from the wall and the hotel didn't replace them, they just wrote the room number with sharpie on the torn up drywall where the little placard had once been.

We considered driving through the night.

We've stayed at La Quintas before and they've been really nice... Not this one!

I had a reservation for two nights at this “hotel” and after driving 3 hours, when I was 20 minutes away, they called me to cancel my reservation claiming “plumbing and electricity problems” saying that they had to shut down the hotel, making me scramble around Nashville in the pouring rain looking for an available room. I was traveling with my wife and our parents ( 3 senior citizens), we finally found something at midnight in a flea bag, just to spend the night. In my attempts to find a place to stay I called them to see if they had something and they said that they were fully booked, when we told them about our cancellation the guy said that he had just received the shift ant that it wasn’t his fault that we were cancelled. Never stay here. Let it burn to the ground for all I care

Been staying at this property every year for the last 20 years and it used to be a nice hotel. It has gone downhill fast, I would never stay here again at any price. There was no air conditioning in the lobby or common area on first floor, the elevators were constantly breaking down, and the first few minutes in my room I killed 3 roaches crawling about... one in my bed when I pulled the sheets down. Looked under the mattress and found two crack pipes underneath and it wreaked of urine. Blood stains on the carpet, a shower that barely got warm, the TV was useless and wouldn't stay on any channel you picked. The once nice breakfast with a variety of options including waffle makers is now nothing but bagels with no cream cheese and some yogurt and fruit cups. The bedding is cheap and thin, pillows that feel like they are stuffed with wadded up newspapers. Only two towels in the room and no one came to clean or replenish supplies the next day. What used to be a 3-star hotel now feels like a cheap roadside motel. This is my last stay at this property, could not check out fast enough. Needs serious attention or may as well be condemned.

They use one company that picks up quests for a few other hotels. DO NOT STAY THERE! If you read their reviews, you'll see that they offer to 'make thing right on you NEXT stay'. They won't right the wrongs that have been done. This is the hotel where the quests took over the front desk because employees were nowhere to be found.

Very accommodating for our two Aussies. They got us a room for easy access to outside without tramping through the lobby. There was a pet fee. We find La Quinta Inns to be very pet friendly in general.
