I took time to review all options in Nashville and so happy to land at the Germantown Inn. You are still close enough to Broadway and many other fun things. This spot will give you the much needed break from all the craziness. The bed was very comfortable and the place was clean. Great service, great breakfast and great location. I highly recommend! Stay in the Roosevelt room if you can.

Where do I start? This small boutique hotel just north of downtown Nashville is the place to stay if you crave a quite and comfortable room, capable and friendly staff, historical charm, and a near perfect location with many walkable restaurants and cafes.

The room rate included breakfast to start the day and a charcuterie box with wine, beer, or soft drinks to be enjoyed in a well appointed common area, courtyard, or in your room. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks are regularly available as well. Both breakfast to start our day and the charcuterie as a light snack before dinner were quite good.

We stayed in the Buchanan room which is located at the front of the building and even though there is a sidewalk and street right outside the windows, it was remarkably quiet. The bed was very comfortable with high quality linens, the bathroom was large with a walk-in or roll-in shower. Overall, there was plenty of space to hang our clothes in the closet and keep our bags out of the way. There are two low chairs in the room as well that were fine for the time we spent in the room.

My wife and I are on a two week road trip and found the Germantown Inn perfect. We found it worthy of the five star review we gave it.

The building itself is a historic building that has been renovated and updated to modern standards but yet maintains some of the original history and charm. With wood floors that seem to be part of the original structure (I should have asked), what appears to be parts of the original walls left exposed to remind us of the history, the old maps, pop art pictures of historical people, merged with the new sunroom and common areas, it truly feels like a home away from home.

Situated in a mostly residential area, it is away from the noise and chaos of Broadway, but just minutes away by car if you do enjoy that or want to pop down for a stroll or to visit a honky took.

This hotel is best for couples and singles traveling with some friends for a quiet weekend away.

We enjoyed it so much, we extended our stay an extra night. Because with our road trips, we don’t need or want a schedule.

Finally, I cannot say enough about the staff, particularly Chrissy who was able to get us into our room early on the day we checked in. Offered to assist with our bags, recommended restaurants, and always said hello and asked how our stay was and if we needed anything.

The last morning we were there she was genuinely happy to see us and set us up with coffee and water for the road as we checked out as well. While all the staff members are great, Chrissy is one of the best in the business and certainly the most hospitable and nicest person we’ve had the pleasure of meeting in our travels in the last several years. She genuinely cares about your comfort and enjoyment as a guest of the Germantown Inn.

We will certainly stay here the next time we are in Nashville.

My husband and I stayed here on our drive from Colorado to Florida and I couldn't recommend it more highly. The location was perfect, tucked away in the quiet, beautiful, historic Germantown neighborhood with wonderful restaurants and artsy shops within very easy walking distance. A nice respite from downtown Nashville. Our room was eclectically and comfortably furnished. I really loved the common sitting area that had lounges and tables for reading the paper, using your laptop, or just simply relaxing. This was also where the beautiful breakfast was served each morning and the amazing happy hour that we had each night with local wines, music and a charcuterie platter. The parking was free and secure (we felt like we could leave our vehicle there for the whole of our visit). We particularly appreciated the care and attention that we received from the wonderful care-takers of the Inn - Chrissy who made our breakfast experience and everything we needed in the morning just perfect, and Lara who helped us with recommendations for dinner and music, and anything else we needed in the evening. You guys were wonderful! I would definitely stay here again if I return to Nashville.

We had the wonderful experience of staying at the Germantown Inn while passing thru Nashville. Mostbif these reviews reference the staff, who take hospitality to a new level. Laura became my BFF while making the reservation by phone and discussing our senior dogs. To my delight, Laura was working the morning shift on my check out day so I was able to personally meet her. Amy checked us in and was just as delightful to chat with.

The Germantown Inn is an excellent choice during COVID travels or not. Due to only 10 rooms, the amount of foot traffic is at a minimum (if that is important to you during the pandemic). The rooms are spotless and extremely comfortable and quiet.

The 5pm to 6pm Happy Hour on the shaded patio is a nice touch with beer, wine and charcuterie (in boxes due to the "C" word) and a cold breakfast is also included (again, boxed for you to enjoy on the patio, in your room or on the go).

The location is within walking distance to the Bicentennial Park for a walk or work out leading to the Capitol grounds as well as the Farmers Market, which is open daily. There are several restaurants within walking distance, with hotel suggestions in a pamphlet in your guest room.

If you like off the beaten path accommodations when in a tourist town, warm and exceptional hospitality, small inns and clean clean clean rooms and lobbies, this is for you! We liked it so much we are booking again a week from our original stay as we drive back thru Nashville to return home!

My husband and I stayed at Germantown Inn twice in the last few months since our daughter moved to Nashville. We’ve found “our place” to stay every time we come to Nashville. I won’t stay anywhere else. I selfishly want to keep this boutique inn to myself but know during these times that businesses such as this depend on me to share my experience so they can remain in business and I can enjoy staying here long into the future. For anyone concerned about their stay, COVID guidelines are followed meticulously. Very much appreciate how they continue to offer delicious complimentary breakfast choices and appetizer hour from 5 to 6pm with individually boxed snacks and wine options. I hope to experience the usual spread when things return to normal. The hospitality is top notch! The bed is so comfortable I’ve gotten my best sleep in a long time while there. The rooms are decorated beautifully and are super clean. Luxurious linens, towels, robes, toiletries and complimentary bottled water awaited our arrival. The staff is very nice and make you feel at home. I can’t wait to stay when the weather is warmer and we can experience the beautiful outdoor courtyard and rooftop patio. They even have rooms that are pet friendly and if I need to bring my dog with me I’m happy to know she we be welcome to stay with us. The beautiful common areas would be perfect for intimate gatherings or celebrations. If you are thinking about staying here, do it. You won’t be disappointed.

Well located in beautiful Germantown this charming Inn exceeded our expectations. Tastefully renovated and designed this 1845 construction in bricks had style, class and charm. Our room The Jackson was small but very confortable with high quality linens and all you might think of in terms of amenities. The innkeepers were helpful and interesting. We appreciated our conversation with Matthew while tasting a good local red wine, some cheeses and crackers at the end of the afternoon. Breakfast was tasty with a variety of fruits, pastries and warm vegetable quiche along with a good cup of coffee. They accommodated us in preparing food and coffee early in the morning as we had to leave before the usual breakfast hours. We really enjoyed our visit in Nashville and felt at home at the Germantown Inn... wonderful experience !

We loved this inn and are looking forward to another stay when in Nashville again. We stayed in the original building in the smallest room at the back of the house on the second floor, which was very quiet. This room (Madison) is quite small so pick one of the other rooms if you need more space, but regardless, the bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows and bedding were exquisite. The rooms are decorated in a very tasteful, understated style. There is lots of parking in front of the inn as well as a few spots between the original building and renovated carriage house. The outside patios are very inviting, but we weren't able to enjoy the outside space due to the rain in February. The happy hour was so filling that we cancelled our reservation downtown before going to a concert at Bridgestone. Very quick drive on Uber/Lyft to downtown. The breakfast was really enjoyable as well. Best of all, we loved the staff. Amy will keep you entertained and was a great hostess for our happy hour (dinner!) Chrissy went out of her way to make an additional item for breakfast because of a food restriction for my husband. Very thoughtful and enjoyable conversation. All of the staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Don't miss this inn if you want to avoid the traditional hotels!

We stayed two nights at this lovely inn. It is a beautifully restored historic building. Our room was one of the smaller rooms, but very comfortable. The Inn was in a great location within walking distance to Broadway and there are many restaurants right in the neighborhood. Breakfast was good and the wine and cheese hour was great. But the intimate ambiance of the inn and the friendly, helpful staff (especially Chrissy) made the experience. It was our anniversary one of the days and when we returned in the afternoon, there were even cupcakes waiting in our room!

The staff were excellent and very tentative. This little hotel had everything. The location was perfect. The rooms are very upscale, extremely clean, and well maintained. I was very impressed that the hotel offered in every room hygiene products. On my trip I noticed I forgot my mouth wash and I turned around and sitting above the toilet was a toothbrush, mouthwash, a sewing kit, shaving kit, all the soaps you need, Along with much more items that you would not think a hotel would offer and they were very high quality. These owners know how to make people happy and provide quality service and products. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets you will not want to get out of them. The only downfall was that the rooms do not have refrigerators. The Owner already has a plan to get those and possibly a snack bar in every room. Great location, great hotel, great service! I will be back. Kelly, Krissy, and Amy were the front desk staff and they were great host. Tell them Darral sent ya! Check this little gem out for yourself! Convenient to downtown Nashville.

My husband and I stayed at the Germantown Inn for one night when we visited for a short weekend trip to see a show at TPAC. We chose the Germantown area for the great restaurants. The Inn is beautiful and comfortable. I love "old" things with character and the Inn has plenty of that mixed with modern conveniences such as great mattresses and shower heads. What makes the Inn really special are the people. Amy and Chrissy bring not only genuine hospitality, but also a local knowledge of Nashville that gives you an insider's glimpse into the city. Amy is in the music industry and has great stories and insights. She freely shared some great stories as we and other guests were enjoying the complimentary wine and charcuterie. We'll go back next time we visit Nashville.

Im very sorry, I can't remember the exact times. Breakfast is around 8 or 9 am and wine is either 5 or 6 pm. I will tell you this, they are very accommodating. We had to leave the inn around 5 am one morning and they had hot coffee and our 2 breakfast boxes ready to go. It really saved us on the road. Just tell them ahead of time.

I don't know because I did not open the closet since it was just a stopover for us on the way home. I’m sure the front desk can bring one to the room if needed.

Hello Connie F, we do not provide transportation. We recommend an Uber or Taxi. Approximate price is $15-$20 from the airport to the inn. We are roughly 20 minutes away from the Opry. We have many great boutiques and award winning restaurants within walking distance of the inn. We also offer a complimentary breakfast and evening reception. If you decide to rent a car we have free parking. I hope that helps...
