This is not a Marriott or Hyatt caliber of rooms, but you would never tell the difference with their service. The rooms are outdated, but clean and the staff is AMAZING! They were more than accommodating and always very pleasant and nice. We were here for CMA fest so we were barely in the room. For these rates it was more than worth it and I'm booking it again for next year!!

The hotel isn't fancy or brand new. That said, it was very clean, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us when we arrived early. My wife and I were in town to visit our son who is at Vanderbilt. Only 12 minutes to campus and Jack's Barbecue was across the street. We'll be back.

If you are picky about where you stay or are looking for a five-star luxury hotel, then this is NOT the property for you. However, if you want a cost-effective hotel that is close to downtown (10-minute drive) that is clean and in a safe area, you should check it out.

While staying in downtown Nashville and not having to drive would have been my preference, doing so at a cost of over $200 per night was not in my budget. The Regency Inn and Suites is located just outside Nashville and was only a ten-minute drive to get to 5th and Broadway where all the action was.

As I was travelling solo, being in a safe area was important and at no point did I not feel safe. Located right off the highway with a large gas station/store across the road, lots of restaurants in same area ensured it fit the bill for my needs. Well lit and someone at the front desk at all times (or at least every time I came and went) made me feel safe at all times.

When I arrived, found out they had upgraded me to a king-sized bed room. Room was clean, VERY spacious and perfect for my needs of housing my clothes and sleeping each evening. No breakfast included, but Jack in the Box, McDonald's and the Waffle House were all within walking distance.

If I had one complaint, it would simply be that the free WiFi was sketchy. Couldn't always get a strong connection or it would continue to connect/re-connect. In my book, if that is the extent of my negatives, that's pretty much not a big deal.

Would I stay here again when visiting Nashville? Absolutely. But as mentioned at the outset, if you are a picky traveller or expecting luxury, this is not for you. However, that is NOT to be taken as a negative, just that not everyone is able to handle a property like this that isn't a five-star resort!!

All the staff I dealt with were VERY nice and VERY helpful and so pleasant to deal with.

I will be back on my next trip to Nashville!!

Service at this hotel always has been great. This is my 6th year staying at the Regency. Rooms are clean and comfortable and rates are reasonable. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend to others.

The staff was amazingly helpful and the room was fantastic!! We decided on this place because the prices were reasonable and where it is located is very convenient to the downtown area. I will definitely stay here again whenever I go back to Nashville. Thanks again for the awesome stay!! Keep up the good work!!!

I had to give the hotel a 1 rating, because there were no zero options. For beginners the prices were jacked up because of Nashville CMA festival. I don't fault hotel on this, they all did it. I do fault them for the bug bites that are on my feet. My initial room on the second floor was crawling w/bugs. Not roaches, but fleas or bed bugs. I lay down to get a nap and was attacked. I pulled the covers back and seen them. I went to tell manager and he assigned me another room. This one had ashes on the bathroom floor (non-smoking room). The bathroom smelled of a dead animal, maybe a rat the died in the vent. Big sign at check-in said "NO REFUNDS". So, I was stuck. Next day I found out bugs had also got into my bag. 89.00 a night for bug bites and bathroom funk. STAY AWAY

We had the misfortune of checking into a room here in the middle of the night. We were desperate for a room anywhere after our 8 hour long drive. We just wanted a cheap simple place to stay the night and leave first thing in the morning. We were unfamiliar with the dangerous area the place was in. With obvious hookers, pimps and drug dealers going in and out and arguing in the halls at 4am. We were greeted by a cockroach right as we walked through the door. Stains on the bed, missing light bulbs, insect feces on the dirty window sill, rotten bath tub....it goes on and on. This felt like the type of place you wake up dead at. Me and my entire family fell ill from this place and our entire vacation to Tennessee had to be cut short because of the effect this place had on our health. Shut her down. Place is disgusting and should be investigated by the department of health and human services.

Stayed there for a youth basketball tournament. Everything in the city was sold out. It was the cheapest. Charged me almost $600 for 3 rooms. This hotel is next to a night club. It was outdated but the room was pretty ok for being cheap then my second night I saw a roach and then from there I saw more. Called Front desk and they gave me bug spray so they knew they had roaches! Was very unhappy and couldn't sleep the whole night!

When booking this room earlier I had a lot of concerns, where is it at? How close is it to downtown and why is it so inexpensive? To my surprise the area was 10 minutes or less from downtown, the room was clean and staff was were friendly! Parking lot is small but we were able to find spots regardless even at odd times of the day. We were very please. Bang for you buck!

"If you are a light sleeper, you might want to get a room that is not on the highway side, because there is less noise (although I was on the highway side and the curtain blocked the traffic noise pretty well)."
