The Fairlane Hotel in Nashville garners accolades for its exceptional location and retro charm, with many guests commending the friendly staff and cozy yet spacious rooms that boast beautiful views. While its proximity to music venues and Broadway is a highlight, it remains a peaceful haven for travelers. The hotel's cleanliness and unique ambiance are consistently praised, though some reviewers point out the noise and a lack of certain amenities. Despite the mix of charm and cost, with parking fees on the pricier side, the overall service and experience have left a positive impression on visitors.

I stayed at the Fairlane Hotel for 2 nights for work. It was wonderful from beginning to the end. The staff was all professional, friendly, and helpful. I loved the decor! High end original mid-century design. Room spacious with high ceiling and floor to ceiling windows. This hotel is immaculus The room came with steamer instead of the traditional iron - very thoughtful and convenient. Location was great my colleagues and I were able to walk to all the restaurants and bars with live music.

I would like to especially thank the front desk staff. We had an early 5am check out and the front desk staff not only got my invoice ready when I stepped out of the elevator but also brewed two fresh cups of coffee for me and my colleagues. The coffee was excellent!

I would definitely stay at the Fairlane again for our next visit.

We were treated like royalty even though we booked through a third party. Our room was clean and comfortable and had an upscale feel to it. The corner king rooms don't have the dramatic views I expected (7th floor) since you are looking at other buildings, but they are tucked out of the way away from any possible noise in the hallways.

The bathroom was really large with nice toiletries and towels. The shower had great water pressure with plenty of hot water.

The closet is only about 2 feet wide and there are no drawers except for the night stands, so expect to live out of your suitcase. Also, the mini fridge doubles as the hotel's mini bar. If you have more than a few items to chill, you will need to remove the hotel items.

There were no breakfast options included in our stay. Lesser priced hotels seem to be able to offer something, even during covid.

We booked through a 3rd party since their price was lower than booking direct, but later the hotel's direct booking price was $60 lower per night. It was too late to cancel my 3rd party booking. The front desk said their was nothing they could do to help.

Parking costs a small fortune $41 + tax per night), but my understanding is that self parking is only about $10 less.

The Fairlane is centrally located about 3 blocks from the Broadway honky tonks, so it's convenient, but quiet. I would definitely stay again, but not more than a few days due to the lack of storage for clothes and the parking expense.

Dear OBXNatalie, Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us such detailed feedback! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay, and we hope to make your next visit absolutely perfect. As one of the smallest properties downtown, we are quite agile and responsive, so our Front Desk team welcomes all kinds of requests and accommodations, such as those dramatic views or an additional mini fridge. When we receive those requests via phone or email, we do everything we can to honor them. With 10+ room types, and subtle variations within room-types, we have a room tailored to all needs; I think you'd really enjoy one of our '02' Corner King rooms featuring a large armoire and great views. Additionally, reservations booked directly with us allow us great flexibility. It is true that our nightly rates fluctuate, but our Front Desk team is always a call away if you want to locate the best rate! We are thankful to be able to offer one of the more competitive valet rates in downtown Nashville. It's our goal to keep rates reasonable, lower than the competition, and in-line with nearby self-park options. Further, through our partnership with Lyft, we're able to arrange rides on our guests behalf (with no price mark-up) for those who would prefer not to drive. We do regret being unable to offer on-property breakfast and lunch options for your stay, although we are excited to welcome Juniper Green and Cheese Gal, both offering high-quality fare earlier in the day, as new partners. We invite you to stop by and say hello to them! If you’re feeling adventurous during a longer stay, our top-notch concierge team can, of course, always direct you to the best spots around the city. Thank you again for your kind words. We hope our feedback assures your confidence in our commitment to you and every one of our esteemed guests. ‘Til next we meet, we bid you safe travels and good health.

We stayed at the Fairlane, a sort of retro hotel in a former bank building, for three nights over the New Year's Eve period, and very much enjoyed our stay. The "coffee issue" refers to my problem with hotels that do not provide in-room coffee-making facilities. The Fairlane doesn't already have coffee/tea in the room and although they provide an elaborate/attractive set upon request, it's sort of hard to make good coffee with it. They provided tokens to get free coffee from the deli downstairs though. This was great, but defeats the purpose.
All that aside, the rooms were spacious and comfortable with floor to ceiling windows, great views, good amenities, very friendly staff and a yummy cafe (Union Teller) for breakfast etc. The room had a steamer instead of an iron, which was very effective and easier than ironing! I was absolutely thrilled to discover a Peloton bike in the tiny but pleasant 24-hour gym and I signed into my account and used it every morning, enjoying the street view as I pedaled. We also used the bar/lounge at Ellington's restaurant, which was fun; I recommend the Cucumber Gimlet. The location is fantastic, just up the hill from Broadway, close to many night spots and great places to eat (and a really good coffee shop) but still just out of the hustle/bustle. All in all, a great choice.

Hello mariaz2200, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! It sounds like you had a chance to try out a variety of our amenities, and we are happy to hear that nearly everything was up to our standards! We do apologize for the miss-step with the coffee, as we want to respect your morning rituals. Perhaps if we have the chance to host you again, we could deliver that free coffee to you through our room service program, which is just a $2 service charge! Being a small property, we have great flexibility to meet your needs and requests, so just say the word on how we can assist. Again, we very much appreciate your time and the opportunity to host you! Please know that everyone in the Fairlane family is wishing you well, wherever you find yourself. Here for you, Charles Brady

We stayed here two nights and it couldn’t have been better. The room was comfortable and big enough for two.

It really is a full service hotel. They provide many toiletries, makeup remover wipes, hand sanitizer cloths, etc, in the room and there’s more they can get you if needed.

Staff was friendly and helpful. We forgot something in the car and valet offered to go get it without moving our car. They provided directions and recommendations.

Located far enough away from the main strip of bars but close enough to walk to them.

Highly recommended.

Great service!
They really made our stay enjoyable by going above and beyond.
Housekeeping was very flexible and I had mentioned to them that my daughter did not feel well and they brought a box with ginger ale to our room.
Also very convenient hotel for walking to Lower Broadway, Printer’s Alley and 2nd Street.
One of the best hotel experiences we have had in awhile.

This was our first trip to Nashville and loved the Fairlane. This is a first class PLUS Hotel and everything and everyone we encountered was a huge treat. We give a shout out to the front desk employees Adam, Elliott, Rachael, and Matthew. Each and every person we encountered was so professional and you felt like royalty. The southern gentlemen at the doors were always so welcoming and everyone seems genuine, not just doing a job. Everyone was always ready and willing to offer advice, get ubers, direct us to meet our needs. We visited the Ellington Restaurant and had the very best pork chops we had ever eaten, and we have eaten alot. We had cocktails and desserts on separate occasions with our favorite server, Kassidy. She was just charming and excellent in her job. Again she made you feel so welcomed and special. The cocktails were superb. The room was roomy, super comfortable, felt very high quality. I don't get the comments on the peak a boo bathroom at all but it sounds like some of the rooms have diff styles. It was a very cool design. It was easy and fast to get room service coffee or tea and they were handing out coupons when you check in so we were happy to provide generous tips for the treat of coffee in the room. Excellent location to walk to everything downtown and they offered great advice at the front desk along with a bottle of water to take with you. Cant wait to return and will continue to share this with anyone visiting Nashville. Thank you for making it such a grand trip. Kudos to your excellent business model

Hello John D, My goodness, thank you so much for these incredibly kind words! Our standards are certainly always to impress and provide the best service possible, and your radiant approval makes each of us on the Fairlane team shine a little brighter. Our rooms do indeed have different bathroom styles, those being peekaboo, frosted, and fully paneled showers. We encourage guests to let us know about preferences in this regard, and we do our best to inquire about these preferences prior to arrival during our concierge call program! We are excited for you to return as well – please, let us know how we can make the next stay in Nashville even more memorable! Charles Brady

Great location, nice retro aesthetic, excellent restaurant (Ellington’s), corner king room good size…views not impressive. Nice free ‘snack’ tray in room. The Studio54 disco in the Penthouse is wonderful 😊

Primary disappointment was not having either a coffee station on the floor or in the room especially since there was no room service for morning coffee delivery. A gratis small morning coffee at the adjacent bagel/deli shop was available to hotel guests. Ordered a bagel and it was barely toasted. Coffee was weak. We discovered the Frothy Monkey around the corner for great coffee and breakfast items.

T.V. did not have a menu guide for scrolling through selections. Soap was lacking in shower dispenser even after it was requested, no pail in bathroom just a small pail in the room that was overflowing, request for dry cleaned shirt initially forgotten…eventually was sent out, king bed great size but too soft.

We had a pleasant stay overall, but will likely stay elsewhere if we return to Nashville.

We just left the Fairlane and were very pleased with the service, facilities and convenient location to downtown Nashville. Matthew at the front desk was very attentive to our every need and directed us to Margot’s for a romantic, gourmet meal in the one night we had free from scheduled activities. Ellington’s provided a terrific happy hour with great wine, spicy cold shrimp and a 1/2 price fingerling potato dish that hit the spot.

Great stay. The hotel used to be a bank and they turned into a super cool 1930-esque styling. The decore and rooms are going for the old school feel, but all modern. Some hotels try for the old school feel but end up just feeling old, not this one, it meets modern with floor to ceiling windows and clean/minimalist lines throughout. All the folks who worked there were nice and friendly and the lobby has a very nice scent when you walk in, I know that sounds weird, but it was noticeable.

Never been to Nashville, so I called a lot of Hotels trying to decide where to stay. The Fairlane had me sold by the first phone call. Talked to Matthew on the phone, he was extremely informative and patient with all my questions, from what room to book to where to have dinner. I was sold! I received a phone call a couple of days before arrival, to see if I had any last minute request. That has never happened in all my travels. Bravo for the personal touch.

Upon arrival, I got a lyft from the airport, this can be tricky if you don't know what to do, you have to walk to the parking garage and then call your lyft from there. A quick 15 minute ride to downtown Nashville..

When we arrived at the hotel I retrieved my luggage, to my surprise the guy at the Valet did not open the door for me while I struggled with two luggages. That struck me as odd, it's the simple jesters that make a difference.
Check in was great, answered any question I had and off to our room.
We had the Cherry Suite, it was huge, a living area, large bathroom and separate sleeping area, the bed was very comfortable.
My only complaint with the room was the coffee maker, it was a regular coffee pot, and they had coffee grounds in a glass, not sealed. Uhhh wasn't going to use a coffee that is open and sitting on a tray, an upgrade would be to have a krueger coffee with tea, and coffee pods. they do serve coffee in the lobby, it is really good coffee, but no decaf, my husband drinks decaf. :( Complimentary water in the room was really nice.
Also it was my husbands birthday, they seamed to make a big deal over the phone, I was hoping maybe our room had a little welcoming surprise for his birthday, a note, snack or chocolate, none of the above, again it's the little things. Maybe I expect a lot. ; )

We did the happy hour every day before heading out. Service was great, drinks good, there is a patio area outside, nice seating area, and a section off the side for cigar and cigarette smokers.
A couple of observations, the first time we entered the restaurant they checked our temperature, after that it was never checked again... also while seated at the bar, the bartender was making new drinks for the waiters to test out and give their reviews on it. That's great, love when mixologist are being creative, however, the waiters would take a sip from the drink and then pass the same glass to the next person, and the next, nooooooooo great way to spread covid.
Also, was not really sure why the breakfast place was closed because of covid. You have a restraurant open at night, coffee in the lobby, would of been nice to be able to get a snack in the morning. There is a breakfast diner two doors down called the Union Diner, doesn't look like much on the outside, really nice on the inside two stories and food was very good but expensive.

Overall we really did love the Fairlane, it was our cozy home away from home and a great place to come back to after a long day of walking around.
Thank you Fairlane for a great stay.

My bf and I had no problem walking all over during the day. The night does look a bit sketchy just because it’s dark since it isn’t as lit up as the broadway street and unfortunately, there’s a homeless problem but I felt comfortable enough to walk with my bf and there was other people walking too. There is maybe one block that seems quiet but the closer to broadway we got, the busier the streets were.
