This hotel is so conveniently located to downtown Nashville. It’s very easy to walk to everything and still far enough away to get a restful nights sleep. The hotel is very modern, clean and comfortable. The room was nice but there was no closet to hang clothes. Only a rack with a few hangers or pegs on the wall. Not what I expected from a Hilton hotel. The breakfast was good and had a lot to offer. The front desk people were very helpful and fun to talk with. We had a great weekend. Glad we chose this location.

We thought the property (except area noted below) was very clean and aesthetically pleasing which is generally a given with Hilton properties. Check in/out was very easy with the app. The property is located within walking distance of a plethora of activities, dining and bars. The issue I had is since there is not a coffee maker in the room you are at the mercy of the lobby which advertises 24/7 complimentary coffee. When went to the lobby at 0545 hours there was no coffee and no one at the desk. There was a worked sleeping in a “cubby” but he was what we believed a valet. After approximately a five to ten minute wait the night manager (Terrance) came out and rudely stated there was no breakfast till 0700 hours. I asked about coffee and he said it was being made. There was no greeting and no conversation, just rude statements. We came back to the lobby approximately 30 minutes later and there was one thing of coffee made and Terrance had joined his coworker in an adjacent “cubby”. He did not acknowledge us (take his headphones off) until I asked him his name. His coworker was still asleep until this point. The other disturbing part of this is the area for coffee and food was not very clean.

great location if you want to be right in the action of downtown nashville! the staff was very nice and very helpful, and the rooms were comfortable and clean (which was a concern due to covid-19), all for a great price! they have a nice selection of snacks and things for sale in the lobby as well. the elevators requiring a key card was a plus too; felt super secure when i was told about that. highly recommend this location for solo travelers that might be worried about cleanliness or safety :)

Im going to start this review by stating that we are traveling during Covid. This was our choice. Certain expectations were made in that the hotel, restaurants, bars and fellow humans would all be following the same rules. Everyone is anxious for life to get back to normal, but safety is a #1 priority and we do believe that travel and fun can be had in a safe way.

We arrive on a Thursday, the hotel lobby was nice, check in was great. It appeared that all covid protocols were being followed, although there were a few people walking out that did not have on a mask and staff did not remind them to do so.

The room itself is beautiful and spacious. The four of us were amazed at the amount of space, we definitely do not feel like we are on top of each other while hanging out in the room. I do wish there were a little more space to put away clothes and think that if a room is going to accommodate four people there should be four hooks in the bathroom for towels.

The proximity to downtown/Broadway is fantastic. 10 minute walk. You can not beat it. We were so happy to save some $ by walking to/from each day!

Friday morning breakfast was grab n go, hot sandwiches pre made and individually wrapped. Make your own waffle station was up and running as was the oatmeal station and cereal station. It felt safe/covid protocols being taken, fruit was individually wrapped and everyone had on their masks.

Friday night we arrive back to the hotel at 10:30pm and it was an absolute chaos! 50+ people were hanging out in the lobby, playing pool, drinking and being unbelievably loud. It was like we walked in to a bar but in our hotel lobby. No one had on a mask, everyone was crowding around each other. The elevators were packed. It was a very uncomfortable experience and extremely unexpected.

Saturday night was the same exact thing, only more people. We were and still are so confused as to why this is #1 allowed during covid but also allowed at all! These were not all people staying at the hotel, you can just walk in off the street, buy a beer and play pool. We find it to be extremely unsafe for hotel guests. The blatant disregard for covid safety by the people partying and the hotel staff is unacceptable.

Unfortunately even though first impressions were amazing and we love the location, we would never come back here.

Stayed at a Tru at 500 5th Ave in Nashville. I must say it was the worst experience of any hotel I have stayed in. No cleaning service. When asked to clean the room it was never done. I had to find a cleaning cart on another floor and get towels. They also add a $50 deposit for each person reserved in the room. Don’t really know why? Said would return later after check out. Waited 15 minutes for an elevator to check out. Had to drag bags down the stairs out into street to get to lobby. Never again!!!!

Great location just 4 blocks off Broadway. Clean rooms with amenities. Pool was nice and water was heated. parking in garage was easy with a key card you can come and go freely. Only wish there was a microwave iN the room
Or in the common area to reheat our leftovers.

Despite the extreme noise the location was great. However, based off the minimalist design the rooms lacked storage options. We brought our dog which cost an additional charge. I would say it’s overpriced for what it was. There was no daily cleaning. You’re paying for the location and breakfast, but it’s not worth $850 for a 3-day stay.

The facility appears to be newer and is maintained at a very high level. The whole time we were there, we noticed staff constantly cleaning and conducting preventive maintenance. Tru is located a short walk from Broadway and the activities of downtown Nashville! The breakfast selections were very good, well stocked and a self service operation!

This spartan hotel seems to be a fusion of the utilitarian schools of ‘Scandinavian Design’ and ‘Modern Industrial’. It was a bit off-putting at first glance but we soon grew very comfortable knowing that the uncarpeted floors and the other ‘hard surface’ features of the room enhanced cleanliness and an allergen free accommodations. I’ll book a TRU again without a second thought!

This hotel is perfect to walk to everything that downtown Nashville has to offer without being right in the middle of all of the noise. 3 blocks to everything! Super clean rooms and very spacious. Large bathrooms where my husband and I didn't have to be on top of each other while getting ready and big glass showers. The rooms also had one thing that is usually lacking - a full length mirror. A welcome surprise. The front desk crews in the early morning were fantastic - didn't interact with those later in the day or evening very much. The complimentary breakfast sound be considered a full breakfast because it has everything. Overall, thrilled with this hotel and we will be back!

I wondered about that. The live chat told me they were two separate buildings with two separate checkin counters. I told her the two signs are on one building. Are the halls connected and rooms accessible between the two hotels? Thank you 😊
