Hotel's Favourite

This hotel absolutely strong-armed me with perfection after check-in and throughout the duration of the stay in order to transform a bad first impression into me leaving feeling that this was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Admittedly, I wasn't too enamored with this hotel at check-in, which I'll elaborate on later, but since then it was flawless and became one of the clearest 5-star review I've ever given. The hotel as a property is about as good as I've ever stayed at regardless of price point or brand. The rooms are big, super clean, modern, spacious, bright, and airy. That's really a quality of the hotel in general. Everywhere is spacious and airy and open. The lobby area must have, no exaggeration, a thousand square feet or more or just lounge-around space with couches and TVs, all spaced out and bright and modern. The hallways are wide and modern, some of the nicest hallways in any hotel I've ever seen. Back to the room, it's just one of the best rooms in terms of quality I've ever stayed in. The bed, including the pillows, was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever had at a hotel. My bed at home sucks so I'm used to getting up multiple times a night. I slept through the night easily every night on the bed in this hotel room. Plus, the bed was huge. It's supposedly a king, but for the last two nights of my trip in Nashville I stayed at a nearby Courtyard in a king room as well and, in addition to the Courtyard bed being nowhere as comfortable, it was also not as big, even though it was also a king. I don't know if there are sublevels to king beds but the Cambria one is the big one. The TV in the room was also quite large, which is uncommon at this price point from my experience. It must have been at least 55 inches. The shower was also extremely spacious. The bathroom in general was pretty big for a hotel room. It also had this cool mirror that lights up and plays music from your phone. I can't find a single thing about the room or property to say something negative about. Maybe the tiniest suggestion would be to get the Youtube app on the TV. Even the gym was nice. We used it every day. It was very adequate for a good workout for the average person. There's also a cool guitar shaped pool, but it was too cold to use it. My guess is that Cambria hotels seem to be designed to compete with Canopy hotels from Hilton. They both have modern, youthful designs with industrial touches and boxy building designs. I stayed at a Canopy recently. I actually posted a tour of it on YouTube if you are considering one and want to see what it really looks like. Search "Canopy by Hilton Charlotte Southpark Full Tour - King Bed Room" and it's the one on the Unputdownable channel. After staying at both now, there is no doubt whatsoever that Cambria is the better hotel of the two. It's not even really close. Cambrias are probably half the price too or less. I haven't mentioned service yet, but it was quite good too. I received a text everyday asking how my stay was going and if I needed anything. However, this leads me to the one criticism that I have, which I mentioned at the beginning. This hotel has an early check-in fee. I've heard about these at Vegas hotels, but I had never been charged one in my life before until this stay. I can't think of a more by-definition junk fee than an early check-in fee when the room is stated to be ready. I can understand if the check-in is before the check-out time of the hotel so your stay would be more than 24 hours. In that case the fee makes some sense. However, I was checking it at almost noon and the check-out time of the hotel is 11 am. Plus, the receptionist told me that my room was ready. That would make the early check-in fee a fee solely with the purpose of extracting more money from the customer. It isn't as if the room is going to make any extra revenue for the hotel in those two hours before standard check-in time. That room is mine for the night whether I'm in there at noon or 2pm especially once it's ready. Quite the contrary, if a guest is able to check in to his or her room if that room is ready early, they'll be settled earlier, therefore giving them the time to go down to the bar for a drink or a bite, which would give the hotel the opportunity to earn even more than a junk fee from the guest in the right way. It might also start the guest off with a positive first impression that would eventually lead to a good review. If I wrote this review right after I was charged that early check-in fee, I would have given this hotel a 3 at best. I was furious at that time. However, as I've outlined in this review, the hotel was absolutely flawless and became one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at since that time so a 5 out of 5 is the only fair review I can give. Also, in full disclosure, the fee was eventually removed for another reason, not by me disputing it. I've stayed at hotels from budget to ultra luxury and everything in between and I would have to search really deep to find a hotel stay that was as good or better than this one, all things considered, I'm staying at a Ritz Carlton in a few weeks at a nightly rate 7 times what it cost at this Cambria hotel and I'm legitimately concerned the Ritz won't even be able to deliver a stay as good as this Cambria hotel stay was.

Check-in very smooth and staff very accommodating. Lobby was very clean and beautiful. We stayed in a 2 queen bed room on the 4th floor. I requested an upper floor and received the top floor. Reading reviews before we arrived I was a little concerned about the airplane noise, but it was a total non-issue, even being on the top floor. Room was spotless and had everything we needed. Maid service was available on request which we did not use, but on our third day they did come in and do a room refresh which was nice to come back to. My only complaint is I wish they would have had some info in the room with a guide on how to use the cool bathroom mirror. I feel like it did more than we used it for. The location of the hotel was so centrally located to everything we wanted to do, including downtown, the zoo, Grand Ole Opry, Belle Meade, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay there if I visit Nashville again.

This is the cleanest hotel we stayed in during our entire 10 day trip to TN!! We stayed in 4 various higher end hotels the rest of the trip, but due to an early flight I booked this for the last night, thinking it would probably be our lowest-end hotel, but no! What a joy this little hotel is! It’s only a year old. Wood floors in the rooms are much more sanitary than carpet, and the room set-up is well thought out. Plenty of plugs for electronics, a nice sized bathroom and shower. Great quality bed and bedding. Nice view out the window too! When you walk into your room it smells CLEAN. Shuttle service to the airport and from the rental car return the night before made our departure in the morning so much less stressful. The little restaurant and bar inside the hotel was terrific, Sydney the waitress was adorable and made our drinks and meal into really a fun time. An unexpected jewel of a hotel. If you have an early flight, or even don’t mind driving to see Nashville, I highly recommend it.

I cannot overstate how enjoyable our stay was at this hotel. It is a brand new hotel - everything smells new - from the elevator to the hallways to the guestrooms. The room layout is unique and very spacious. Large walk-in shower (with pump dispensers of soap, shampoo, and conditioner), a Keurig, minifridge, large (55"?) TV, and ample chargers for all of your phones and other devices. The location is tucked away in a quiet business park, so it seems to be a very safe and secure area.

This hotel is very sleek, modern and minimalistic. It IS very close to the airport so if airplane noise is an issue, don’t stay there. The staff is very nice, the hotel is extremely clean. I gave it 3 stars because they offer no complimentary water. That’s an issue for me. When I confirmed my reservation, I specifically requested additional wash (face) cloths. I received the normal 2. Netflix app on the tv doesn’t work. I signed in and EVERY show says unable to play right now. I can’t use my Firestick because there’s no outlet near the tv and you cast to the tv. Lastly, the restaurant’s food menu leaves a LOT to be desired. The food itself- I had chicken with mustard gravy, brussel sprouts and what I thought would be mashed potatoes because it said smashed but turned out to be lightly roasted was all bland and flavorless. So yeah, it’s 3 stars for me.

The hotel was clean and modern with a beautiful room. The airport noise is unbelievably bad, I have stayed at airport hotels before but never in one that had this much airplane noise. The sound exceeded 70 decibels inside the room as airplanes took off right over the hotel. They do not clean your room daily and still did not clean or provide maid service on the day we requested a cleaning. We stayed 6 nights and did receive two cleanings, but they did not remove the trash, so we had to carry out two bags of trash.

Beautiful hotel, so new you could smell it. Rooms were laid out intelligently, and the little extras (shower head, table and luggage space, bar and restaurant service) were all there to separate it from a normal mid-level airport hotel. We used it for Park and fly, since airport parking is so ridiculously expensive in Nashville for some reason, but we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Great experience!

We stayed one night to pick up a loved one at the airport after midnight. This new hotel is fresh and clean. 6 min from airport. We came in late. The gentleman at the front desk was kind and helpful. Lobby is nice. There is a bar although it had just closed when we arrived. Room 113 was super cute, retro airplane décor, and super clean. 2 queens. Huge good quality tv. Vinyl plank "wood" flooring- i appreciate this SO much because hotel carpet is nasty. There was a blue tooth thingy on the bathroom mirror- one could listen to music while getting ready. We were on the ground floor but no noise bothered me. I heard a plane going over, but I still felt rested. In any case I always travel with earplugs. I do recommend this hotel, but if you are a light sleeper maybe bring ear plus and a sleep mask.

This is my second year staying a night at this airport hotel before an early morning flight from BNA. This time placed in accessible room so the layout wasn’t as cool as last year, but still stellar stay. Coffee maker in room as well as couch. Bar/restaurant opens for dinner and although grilled cheese on menu, couldn’t get it (offered to pay double) because “kid’s only”. Other patrons ordered “to go” by saying had kids in room so we know next time! Friendly staff; extremely convenient to airport.

Noise!!! You are right at the end of the runway for take off! 11pm - 5am is quiet and then forget sleep. They don't clean the rooms or replenish room items even when requested. Location is ok, 15-20 minute drive to Broadway. If we go back we would stay near Broadway. The Honkey-Tonks open at 10am! Live music and great fun. We entered at 12 had lunch and a few drinks then had to drive back to the hotel, abandon the car and get an Uber back...It's wild!
No need for too long here but the music scene is kicking!
