Hillside Crossing Nashville, a Ramada by Wyndham, garners appreciation for its well-kept rooms and prime location, which offers easy access to the heart of Nashville. The hotel's retro charm and individuality are celebrated, yet some guests have raised concerns regarding room noise, maintenance issues, and inconsistent service quality. While the cleanliness and amenities often receive praise, the value proposition has been questioned, with several travelers feeling the costs outweigh the benefits of their stay.

I stayed two nights at Hillside recently. The check-in was quick and efficient, and the employees at the front desk were welcoming and friendly. The room was super cute, and clean. The hotel was just renovated, so all new furniture and floors, but you can tell it was a quick flip. The hallways and steps still need work done. When leaving the room for the night, we realized the door to our room did not lock - room 241. So had to go to the front desk and get a room change - room 221. The new room, was identical, with some extra wear in the shower, and a random half full water bottle sitting on the AC unit. During the night, the bed was squeaky, and you can hear the neighbors moving about. Also, the room was very humid during the night. If you don’t have the AC unit/fan constantly running or at a low temp, it gets very humid and uncomfortable in the room at night. The hotel is also close to the highway, so you hear trucks and people speeding/racing during the night. The next morning, when we went to take showers, and there were no towels in our bathroom. When I called the front desk, the employee, Ingrid, to get towels, she let me know that housekeeping doesn’t arrive until 7:30/8 a.m., that she doesn’t have any towels in the lobby and is alone and can’t leave the front desk to look for some, so we are out of luck until housekeeping arrives. It was 6:30 am when I called. Since I knew that our old rooms door was broken, I went to room 241 and got the towels in there since Ingrid did not want to assist. There is also no air vent or fan in the bathroom, so when taking showers the steam just builds up in the already humid room. There is also no safe in the room to put your valuables in. And there is a coffee maker and sink in the room, but no coffee or dish soap to use either of those amenities. Next to the hotel is an Irish Pub that has food and drinks, and that has live bands play. The bartenders, and wait staff were amazing. Great service all around there, and good food and drinks. Great place to go before or after any plans you may have. The location is convenient and a quick drive to all the great spots in Nashville, but not worth the price. I would rather be further out at a nicer hotel for the price we paid.

Stayed here while on holiday in Nashville. Positives- it's good value and has everything you need from a motel; staff were friendly and helpful with one noteable exception; easy access to downtown via uber or taxi. Negatives- cleaning could be better; only one of the 2 beds was made up when we arrived and there was one really rude member of staff. We got back midnight (Sunday night) and tried to get some bottled water. The woman refused to sell us bottled water from reception (there was plenty and we made it clear we had the cash to pay for it). I guess if the till was closed, the till was closed but she was so rude and aggressive it spoiled a lot of the good things about the hotel. A shame because it's an ok place.

The rooms need work done on the outside doors to close properly. There was no coffee maker or trash can in our room, did receive a trash can but no coffee maker ... coffee at the "hot" breakfast was barely drinkable ... it should have been listed as continental breakfast.

kmdexter64, We appreciate your visit and comments on your stay with us. I do apologize for the coffee maker as we are looking at alternatives for our replacements. This hotel is absolutely atrocious! I should’ve known better when I saw that it was an exterior Corredor hotel but the pictures seemed nice and the lobby was impressive. Clearly a lot of money has been dumped into making an old hotel seem new, with shortcomings though. The air conditioner is old and smelly; the room smells foul. The towel bars are loose, the toilet paper holder is loose and falls off of the wall if you touch it, the toilet seat is loose, the toilet itself is loose to the floor, and not all of the crew electrical fixtures and fittings work. No working with the desk on a new room, either. What’s worse is that the room was stocked with one washcloth and one hand towel and nothing else! There is a Kurig machine in the room yet you have to go to the lobby and purchase k-cups for an egregious asking price. Spend the extra couple of dollars to stay literally anywhere else around here, they’re all better than this.

I've never been the one to write a review even if it's a bad one, but I feel I have to after staying at this hotel this past weekend. Upon arrival I checked in and went into our room and the floor had hair all over it, Q-Tip on the bathroom floor, and the toilet was definitely never cleaned after I saw what was still in there. Absolutely disgusting. There was hair in the shower and also on the bed sheets. There were red stains on the bathroom floor from who knows what. Additionally there was a huge spider crawling on ground.

Due to our schedule, I waited until the next morning to call and request our room to be cleaned. They said they would that day and the NEVER did. So I called again the next day and they told me sorry they are short staffed at this hotel and they don't have enough people to clean rooms.

All four days, I had to stay in a dirty room, with only two wet towels because they couldn't even bring us clean towels, sheets, or toiletries.
The sad part is our friends who stayed at the hotel in other rooms had the same experience.

I don't have photos of the proof because it was actually disgusting and I cleaned it myself before taking photos.

I will not stay here again. I had to call the front desk three times to get a trash can brought to my room. There was no coffee pot, no ice bin, no cups of any sort to drink water. I stayed three night and house keeping never came to my room. At night there were a group of men at a nearby set of rooms that hooped and hollered until 1am or so making it difficult to sleep. Where was the security guard in the car? I understand you might be low staffed or coffee pots might be on back order but if you are going to book the room you have a responsibility to care for the guest. And this guest was not cared for. The few bright spots were the air conditioner worked well, the front desk staff was friendly and they had good coffee in the lobby.

Absolutely horrible experience. I made the reservations through Expedia. Did a ton of checking reviews because I've had a bad experience in the past and wanted to avoid another. Boy, did I fail. A snowstorm hit while we were on our way into Nashville and we were running behind and were going to get there past the midnight check-in deadline. We called ahead to let them know and ask if this was okay. Got no answer so I called the reservation line, who got in touch with the front desk for me and relayed the message that would be fine. We told them we would be there by 1am and got there at 12:45. No front desk person was present and a group of people were stranded in the lobby waiting to check in. We were able to contact the reservation line but the only hotel room they could find for us was another 30 minute drive away which we were not comfortable making in the storm. When the front desk person did return their only response was that they couldn’t help us and walked away. We had to find our own room at another hotel for the night where we paid more money for much lower quality. While we were not charged for the Hillside room when we called the next day to tell about our experience we were basically told to get over it. I asked if we could be reimbursed for the difference in price between the room we were supposed to have and the one we had to find on our own, they said no. I asked for a managers number and was no provided one, only told to contact customer service but not to expect any help there either.

Very Dirty Rooms, missing towels, remote and had trash in trash can and in fridge. Stains on countertop and on toilet. Shower looked dirty as well. Asked front desk for a room cleaning, and they said they would have someone clean it but then later said they were working on it and didn't have anyone available at the time . As time passed, we eventually asked for a different room to move into.
They said they were sold out, and we couldn't switch rooms. We then had to buy our own cleaning supplies to clean the room from nearby store at bottom of the hill. We cleaned the room emptied the trash ourselves as we were determined not to allow this to ruin our trip.

However, this was very unacceptable. I don't review much or even complain as I travel a lot and have experienced great and bad places I have stayed at but truly feel that this by far has been worst on my list of places to stay.

I booked a room at this hotel, through priceline. It was rated "3 stars". It doesn't qualify to earn even 1 star. The room that I was assigned was next to a room housing 8 or night members of a family. One of the kids that belonged to the family was sleeping on an inflatable mattress in front of the door to my room. (Exterior facing "motel" type access to the room.) The key worked to the room door lock, but the door wouldn't open. I got in my car and returned to the front desk, and as I went through the parking lot, I noticed a couple of families sleeping inside of their car.
Without ever getting the door to my room open, I went back to the front desk and told the very, very slow attendant to check me out.
Both the hotel and priceline have refused to approve a refund what I paid for the room. (I never even managed to get inside the room!)
Perhaps the hotel should take my money they stole and buy food for the homeless people sleeping in their cars in the hotel's parking lot.
Stay away! It's a dump.

My travel was delayed and I arrived late. They tried to charge me a $125 fee on top of my reservation fee and charged me $250+fees for night 2 instead of my reservation rate of $294 for 2 nights. When I went to inquire about the additional charges, I had the rudest service I’ve ever had at a hotel and I travel for work bi-monthly. After a 40min checkout process I was still overcharged from my reservation rate.
To make matters worse, I had people outside of my room smoking and being loud until nearly 3am. The A/C unit blew the smoke into my room which made the room stink. I would not stay here again, not recommend anybody stay there. And the quality of the rooms/hotel even in good shape was < $150/night place in my opinion.
