Dirty lobby/stains on all of the couches and chairs, damp/dirty carpet in room (didn’t feel safe walking barefoot), no hand soap, not many towels or much toilet paper provided, tub faucet came completely off and maintenance never arrived to repair.
I have to agree with the bad reviews. Don’t waste your hard earned points or dollars. As a Platinum Elite member, loyalty to iHG properties is important to me, but so are clean, comfortable rooms, courteous staff, and a good overall impression. The room was old, moldy, with rusted furnishings. Housekeeping knocked on and opened our door at 7:50 AM , not good especially since we didn’t get the room until 12:30 AM. The breakfast staff tried to close down 10 minutes early and were rude about it. My wife and I went to the front desk to complain and a gentleman talked to the staff but nothing changed. I even emailed the GM Steve, I believe is his name, before my stay to request a renovated or at least clean room, but it fell on deaf ears with no return email. I expect the same canned response saying this is not the standard or the norm but unfortunately me and many others already know it is. Lesson learned!…
Outdated, smells bad, carpet was wet, halls/ elevator filthy, very poorly executed repairs in the rooms. Even the desk is bowed..... NOT what I expected in a Holiday Inn Express. And definitely not worth $200 per night!
This hotel is filthy. The first room we got was dirty. The 2nd room we got was infested with bugs and the 3rd room also had bugs in it and smelled like a wet musky dog. Every room had mold and was masked with the smell of bleach. The management ignored our bug encounter so we left early and switched to a clean Hilton that charged us the same amount we payed at this nasty place. Do your research if you want a clean hotel. The picture doesn’t do justice on how many bug bites I had on my body. I couldn’t post them all because of the location. Would rate zero stars if I could
The reviews on this property were way better than my experience. The hotel was run down, dirty and stained carpet, and my room looked like something from 1980. The halls that led to my room were littered with paper and debris. The elevator was so nasty that I hated to step into it. I also noticed upon check-in that the area behind the front desk was cluttered and dirty. The front desk guy was helpful but that was the only positive I can say. The next morning when I went to get coffee, there was no regular cream (only flavored). I asked about it and the desk guy checked and said he assumed they were out. I thought this being a HI Express that it would be a nice enough overnight place to stay but I was wrong.
In their description of this hotel, it says the rooms have been remodeled, not the case! This hotel is old and dirty. The mattress was not new and was so bad. I killed bugs in the bathroom, only to find more the next day. Carpet filthy! We were told 7 or more cars were broken into in their parking lot the night we were there. Entire car windows removed, so much for any security in their lots. The desk staff and cafe staff were rude. Tables were not wiped off in the breakfast area. Spend your dollars somewhere else. This is the worst HIE we have ever experienced. Sad.
We stayed at this hotel in May. Our flight arrived at midnight so we needed a shuttle pickup. That went pretty smoothly, but when we arrived at the hotel, there was no one at the front desk to check us in. We waited quite a while and then found out that the two queen beds we had booked months before had been given away and we were given a king bed. That was unacceptable, but we had no recourse! We got off the elevator to our floor and the carpet was filthy with stains! I have never seen a worse hotel!! We got into our cheap, bad smelling and very old room and were appalled at everything, especially the slimmy carpet that made you cringe to walk on! My husband and I travel a lot, and this has to be the absolute worst hotel we have ever stayed at! We were supposed to use this hotel for the last night of our trip, but cancelled that reservation! Believe me when I say you will really regret staying here!! Don't waste your money!…
This is an older hotel - layout with a courtyard suggests it wasn’t built as a HIExpress. The layout is confusing and front desk suggested a path to our room which was clearly not the shortest. There was a musty smell in the room. Since we were only staying long enough to catch a flight the next day we didn’t report it. It may cause issues for some - our whole family had coughing fits after a one night stay. The breakfast was better than I expected and the dining area is large enough. Parking was good. There are a dozen other hotels close by so choose wisely.
Our stay was over a Friday night to catch a 6am flight the next morning. Upon check in we scheduled our airport pickup and registered our car. We had a ground floor room that overlooked an interior courtyard. I noticed the hotel had several court yards. Great place to set and relax. Unfortunately, we arrived around 8pm and didn't have time. The room was spacious, king bed comfortable, and the area we were in was very quiet. Breakfast starts at 6am and our shuttle time was 4:45. We did grab coffee on the way out of the hotel. Our driver was great he reminded us to save the hotel phone number for our return. You are about 5 minutes from the airport. Would definitely use this park and fly option again.
We stayed here for a couple of nights before we headed to another horrible hotel downtown Nashville. Wish we would have stayed here the whole time. Great price, free breakfast. The bed was very very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. It’s only a $16 Uber ride from Broadway and parking is free.
