There were a few issues. I think it needs a bit of a cleaning overhaul. Many stains here and there on the carpet and furniture. Also several doors to rooms looked liked they'd been broken into....probably not, but something happened to make them look that way. The bottom strip on our door was half off when we entered the room. Then not long after that there was one knock at the door, it opened, and a maintenance man entered and went to work on the door strip. So....that would be fine, i guess, had we known he was coming or had he waited after knocking to see if anyone was in the room. As it was, we finally said "hi" and scared him half to death. We were just happy we weren't undressed or anything when he came in.

We waiting a few minutes to check in while a male employee behind the desk flirted with a couple of girls who didn't appear to be having any kind of conversation with him related to work. They were still going at it after another employee finally checked us in.

The room was comfortable, but again a few issues. The tub could use some fresh caulking. The clothes hook was hanging off of the wall. The toilet seat was loose. Still, it seemed clean, and we weren't bothered by airplane noise.

The breakfast was the highlight. There were really a lot of great choices and the breakfast attendant was very attentive and friendly.

It was only a few minutes to where we were going for the evening, so it was convenient for us and much more affordable than staying closer to downtown. I would stay here again.

I selected this hotel because it has a rooms with a balcony, as I do not do well with rooms with sealed windows due to allergy issues.
So I phoned before the booking, did everything they asked for, phoned again to confirm, and when I arrived in the middle of the night, there initially was no balcony room. It took reception some time to find me one, and that after I said that I would not stay if they don't.
The room was clean and renovated not so long ago. I would say a better state than most Holiday Inn Express I usually stay in.
Staff in the breakfast area was friendly and helpful.
At checkout at maybe 9:30 in the morning, it took 10 minutes for reception staff to show up, despite the fact that about 10 staff walked by me and the reception desk to get to the office that is apparently behind reception, but everybody was ignoring me.

We stayed overnight here because we do the park n fly (which is cheaper than parking at the airport and we stay in Nashville because we live over an hour away and dont want to deal with traffic). Everything was great, check in, the room, breakfast, and the shuttle to the airport. The problem came on our return. Very soon after getting our luggage, we called the hotel to have shuttle service pick us up. They told us where to wait and the shuttle was on its way. We waited and waited, about 25 minutes, before calling back and asking about the shuttle again. And again, we were told it was on its way (feel free to map it from BNA to the hotel - its not far). We waited and watched as other shuttles came and left, some as many as three times. Finally, we decided to take a cab have have the hotel reimburse us. And after some discussion, they reimbursed us. Their excuse was that the shuttle doesn't just run service from hotel to airport and airport to hotel. They run shuttle service for their guests to various restaurants, shopping, etc. My advice would be to get a second shuttle service so you dont keep your guests waiting at the airport.

We had a big group happily stay here with only the normal high-maintenance complaints from people who should pay their own money to stay in 5-star hotels. April helped us with our arrangements and was a pleasure to work with. The airport shuttle was a huge bonus - we had folks arriving and departing at lots of different times. The beds were comfy, thermostats functional, service prompt and friendly. If you needed something in your room or in the work center, they were cheerful in providing it. Breakfast was plentiful and had a lot of variety with an egg and meat choice each day. For me it was sugar/simple carb heavy - everything was sweet but the eggs and bacon. And no one should ever eat turkey sausage, but to each their own. For coffee I'd love to see something other than sweet creamers or low fat milk. I'm SO happy we ignored the bad reviews - apparently those come from when they were doing some renovations. They're still working on some upgrades, but we were happy with everything and would 100% book another event here.

We often stay at holiday inn express hotels when traveling - usually they are reasonably priced clean and comfortable. NOT THIS ONE! The floors in the entire place were filthy. The elevator was dirty. There were dirty sheets and towels piled up by rooms all the way down the hallway. It appeared as though our room had not been vacuumed in weeks. There was a wad of hair in the tub. Toothpaste on the bathroom counter and a plastic cup on the floor. We hope the linens on the beds were clean, they were made up. The air conditioner wall unit was very loud and not effective. Would not recommend anyone staying here especially if you are worried about COVID. Realize finding housekeepers is an issue, but this was beyond excuse - you should not be renting rooms if you don’t have staff to clean them.

We stayed 1 night and found the room to be very clean and ready to go. Staff is very accommodating when checking in and out. We left our car there while in Mexico for a week at no charge! The airport shuttle van was very efficient and friendly. We probably saved over 100 dollars by staying there and even got free bottles of water!

Stay Report 6/8 to 6/9

Location: The hotel is located just off of Donnelson Pike (TN-255) just north of I-40 in a cluster of other airport hotels (the Drury Inn, Hampton Inn, Radisson, Four Points etc. are all over here).  Nearby are the usual gas stations, liquor stores, and restaurants (both fast food and sit down) that you find on roads like this near the airport. BNA itself is really close.

Hotel: This is a really odd designed HIX.  It must have been something else beforehand and been converted as it has a central courtyard and a large cavernous lobby.  The hotel itself is very old and feels it.  Everything about it felt shabby and ill maintained.  The single elevator, the hallways, the two out of two broken computers in the business center etc.  On the plus side, there's plenty of parking.

Check In: An indifferent and unfriendly agent checked me in.  No status recognition.  On the plus side I was able to check in at 12:30 PM though into a different room type.

Room: Bad.  The room is in a really bad state of repair.  There was suspicious stains all over the curtains, dirty carpets, scuffed furniture.  Along with that the room has a tiny TV, really loud HVAC (outdated window box models), an outdated bathroom etc.  On the plus side Wifi worked fine and there were outlets near the bed.

​​​​​​​I stayed here because it was 21,000 IHG points.  I will not return.  This should not be an IHG property.

My family was in town on a Saturday night and we decided last minute to stay somewhere instead of take the 2 hour drive home. It was late and we were all tired. We called a few and being a hold member of ihg I called holiday inn at the airport. I asked for a room with two beds and for a hide a bed. The lady that answered the phone said they had this available. It was around 10 pm when I called. I asked if I needed to reserve and she said no just come on. So we finished our dinner and drove over which took approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival, no one at the counter spoke or acknowledged I was there. I said hello and She actually walked away from the counter and over to the other side. A guest came up and she ignored her for a bit and the lady continued to talk until she responded. After she left, a manager came up and she walked back to the counter I was at. She then looked at me so I asked for the room I had called about and In response she asked me if I was the person that just called and I said yes. She then said we don’t have any rooms like that. So I asked why she told me that and she just looked at me and repeated what she said. So I put all of my information back in my billfold and the manager asked her what I wanted and she told him that I wanted a room they didn’t have. He never acknowledged, no apology, nothing. We stayed there back in the fall and none of the room locks worked. I will not give this site a rating at all. There is no customer service here.

First off we have stayed here multiple times when flying out for vacation. Location is great and we were satisfied. This time was different. We were in room 252 I think and as others mentioned, it smelled musty. The air unit was insanely dusty and it rattled on and off throughout the night. The tile in the tub was missing a lot of grout and just seemed neglected. There was no hair dryer in the room and at 3:00 am my wife had to call for one and was told "we may have given away the last one" she responded that would be a major issue and they showed up with one 5 minutes later. Guess we are just used to every room having their own. When we went to unplug it from the wall the whole outlet was loose and the plate pulled away from the wall. We were disappointed. It's definitely not cheap either so for the money we could have stayed somewhere nicer. Like the new IHG Avid hotel across the street. The standards for Holiday Inn Express have definitely gone down. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.

We left our car at the hotel while we traveled to Seattle for a week and they didn’t charge us. You would just have to call the hotel and see, but we allowed to. We stayed in the hotel the night before our flight and a night after our flight too, I don’t know if that makes a difference in leaving a vehicle or not.

Yes. There is a Shoney’s and a Panera Bread across the street and Darfon’s Restaurant is about a half a mile away and it’s really good.
