The Hilton Nashville Airport presents a mixed bag for guests, with some commending the service for its helpfulness and others pointing out issues with responsiveness. While the lobby's ambiance and dining receive praise, many guests are less impressed with their rooms, citing cleanliness concerns, unpleasant smells, and a dated feel. Proximity to the airport and shuttle services are among the amenities guests appreciate, though additional charges and limited housekeeping have raised eyebrows. Overall, the value for money has been a point of contention, leading to varied satisfaction levels.

I am very understanding of the virus and the fact that with it comes limited amenities and services at the moment, while our country works to get back on track. However, I feel that my stay could have been handled better.

First, the good points. This hotel has 14 floors and is located just a short 8 to 10 minute drive from the airport. They do have a free airport shuttle during reasonable hours. Parking at the hotel is $10.00 per night with in and out privileges easy with your key card.

The service at the front desk was cordial and nice (however, they could have handled status better - see below). Our room was located on Floor 13 (1309). The room was relatively quiet, the air conditioning worked wonderful and you couldn't hear that much outside highway noise. The room was spacious with a comfortable king bed, in room coffee, refrigerator, and a nice shower in the bathroom. The room was very clean.

As of now, the executive lounges was closed and the restaurants were closed except for limited hours for the bar in the evening and limited hours for a grab and go morning option in the lobby.

As Hilton Honors Gold Members, I know that our "extras" come with stipulations on "if they are available"; however, I would have at least appreciated recognition and some concessions.

When we arrived for check-in, no upgrade was offered even though upgrades were available. Upgrades were available on the website up to 2 hours prior to my arrival either to a suite or executive floor room and that was not offered. Our gold status was not even mentioned.

Also, our "My Way" benefit is breakfast. The restaurant is currently closed for breakfast; however, if it were to be open we would have received complimentary continental breakfast. I truly feel that the appropriate way to handle this, would have been to offer some sort of grab and go option in the morning hours at the station that was set up (Example: Maybe some juice, a muffin and a banana in a bag to go). It would have been nice to offer something; however, when I asked nothing was offered.

When things return to normal, if my travels needed me to stay by the Nashville airport again, I would return; however, I am disappointed in the service that was provided.

The pricing for the meeting room was ridiculous!!!
First, as I was deciding between quotes I specifically asked if the room had A/V and was told that "audio visual is available". Now, unfortunately, I did not have my used car salesman radar up so I did not pick up on "available". Only after I agreed to the room price of $500/day did I find out that if I want a projector (which I can buy for $200) it will be $450 PER DAY. Completely ridiculous. There is a grocery store in my town that offers a meeting room complete with a projector and screen (and power outlets on the tables) FOR FREE if you cater the food in from them.
Now, the meals were expensive (which I expected); but, they were quite good and the service was pleasant. Really, top notch. So, at least on that I felt like the company got value out of that expense.
Unfortunately, before the training event started the trainer requested extension cords and an easel. Normally, I would certainly have expected an easel in the room. I was told that the easel was $65 per day and the cords $15 per day. That was annoying enough; but, I found out when I got the bill that it was $15 per day PER CORD. So, that was probably about $100 per day for cords I could have bought from Walmart for half that price. That is ridiculous.

The good: Every single person who works at this hotel provided impeccable service, especially the housekeeping staff!!! Aspen, who works the front desk, is fantastic! The lobby and bar area are very impressive. I especially enjoyed the famous country music artists guitar collection, with various instruments and photos behind glass throughout the bottom level of the hotel. This added a really unique touch to the hotel and really put me in the "Nashville" mindset.

The bad: My shower door leaked. This was a relatively minor inconvenience but left me with a wet floor every time I took a shower (room 1302). The rooms were not as nice as one would expect from Hilton but, it was brought to my attention by one of my Uber drivers that this was once a Holiday Inn which explains why the rooms were less impressive.

General comments: If you are here for business at one of the offices near the airport, this would be a decent hotel to book your stay. It is literally 5 minutes from the airport with plenty of food options close by (although yo will need a rental car, not many within walking distance). If you are here to explore Nashville, consider staying at a hotel in midtown. It is a 15 minute car ride from this hotel to the heart of Nashville. I would stay here again but, Hilton should renovate the rooms and bring them up to their brand standard. The hotel is located directly in between several highways so, if you want to avoid road noise, ask for a higher floor.

My daughter and I were here for two nights as part of an Irish dance competition taking place nearby. This hotel was clean, comfortable, and had a relaxing ambiance.

The front desk staff was very pleasant and accommodating when I had a last-minute check-in issue. We had hoped to use the indoor pool, because it looked so clean and inviting, but alas, we ran out of time.

The breakfast buffet was full of good food (real eggs— not powdered!) and the breakfast staff was more than happy to pack up a box and teas to go when we were on the run and unable to sit down.

For the past decade, my daughter and I have stayed at numerous hotels for dance competitions. We have been at super-fancy resorts and inns that have seen better days. This Hilton was just perfect for our needs. It even had an aura of peace, maybe because they have Gideon Bibles in the nightstand. Whatever formula they are using, it works. Kudos to the Hilton Nashville Airport.

To start off when I arrived I found out they charge 10 a night for parking. I would totally understand if it were in downtown Nashville but it's not, it's out by the airport. Also the app said that they offer complimentary parking they said the app had old info.?!?!? When I questioned it they replied that a neighbor hotel was charging 12. Not sure who that was but there are dozens of hotels there and I didn't see one that was charging. They agreed not to charge me. For those who enjoy peace and quiet this definitely is not the hotel for you... when the HVAC goes on it sounds like a car is starting next to you, no exaggeration! The final straw was the shower and this is a little difficult to explain, but the water temperature that is on the tub faucet was the same temperature as when you pulled the knob to shift it to shower. In other words once it was on shower you couldn't change the temperature. I didn't figure this out until my second day about half way through my shower. I just thought that they ran out of hot water. When checking out I mention this to the customer service manager and she just looked at me like I was stupid or something and mumbled that she would have the engineer take a look at it. I have stayed at hundreds of hotels in dozens of countries and have never experienced this. Long and short of it is I have no idea how this is a Hilton hotel, I typically like them.

This hotel does not value its customers and fails to understand that when they have made clear and indisputable mistakes they need to fix these and make it right for the customer. The primary issue is the airport shuttle. The Hilton App indicates that this shuttle is available 24/7. The website does not seem to provide info on the shuttle. As a full service Hilton “Airport” property I would expect to be picked up from any flight arriving at the airport but especially when the hotel’s own app advises so. I called on arrival at 11:50pm and was told no shuttle after 11pm and that I had to make my own way to the hotel. I paid for a Lyft ($12). In the morning I asked to be reimbursed via deduction from the rate and was flat refused since I had paid for the Lyft! (they had told me to find my own way there the night before and did not offer an alternate way). After a few minutes the only thing the manager offered was 5000 Hilton points and I accepted since there was no other solution even when the hotel was clearly 100% in the wrong. Please be aware that this hotel is not service driven and not customer focused. There should not even have been an argument with the customer given what their app says about the shuttle service hours. As an aside and to add insult to injury the Hilton hotel shuttle dropped off my Delta crew while I was checking in!! I suggest you choose a real airport hotel as opposed to this Hilton.

Never expected while I was in Nashville that I would be in the midst of a tornado. Happened to be in the hotel early Tuesday morning when the warning came out about the devestating tornado that would hit the area, with tragic consequences. The hotel clearly directed where to evacuate to ( i was on the 13th floor) and everything was down in a very orderly fashion. My thanks to the staff. As for the hotel check in was very easy and the staff courteous. Clean throughout. Room was clean, bed comfy as well as the pillows. The bar lounge area was a great place for me and my team to gather at the end of the day and the service was good. We are Diamond members and using the lounge on the second floor was a winner for us. Served breakfast, had plenty of coffee and beverages throughout the day, delivered appetizers at end of day and small desert tray and the room had everything we needed. Made our gathering that much better. Already looking forward to my next visit.

The hotel provides a shuttle bus for pick up from the airport. However be prepared to wait for the bus. As we arrived and entered the hotel it's very nice lobby and entry. Staff greeted us with a warm welcome.

Our booked room on the Executive Floor was just that a regular room that is need of a solid cleaning and repairs. (see photos)

The room booked provided access to the executive floor to check to see what is so executive. Use of key entry provided a meeting table that needed a wipe down, sitting area and bar stools out over looking the lobby area. Food options bottled sodas and a mound of Lays Potato Chip Bags on a table, Chewy Bars for those who have a key. We looked around and found no real food options for 4:30. First floor/lobby downstairs food options to see a very hard to read menu in the middle of the seating area next to the elevators. The actual restaurant on site was closed as it was not open yet for dinner. If you are traveler and hungry order from the 1 person who is in process of setting up the bar for food. Also the hotel does not have room service at this time so you can order at the bar to take upstairs.

After looking at what we are paying a night to stay in a room that is need of cleaning and repairs. No real food options for someone who is hungry traveler.

***The manager agreed to check us out so we can stay at an alternate hotel. Thank you to management as we checked into a different hotel nearby.*** NOTE we did not stay one night in this hotel.

This hotel is aesthetically pleasing throughout and the bed was super comfortable. Desk clerks were extremely professional and courteous. The location was close enough to the city also; about 15 min or less from downtown. However, the bar staff was rude and dismissive.

I’ve been business traveling for 15 years and this property gave me a first: someone was in my room just after 8am. I had intended to sleep in a little to acclimate from eastward-travel jet lag. But instead I woke up to someone in my room. Why? The hotel isn’t even near full capacity so I’m sure they can manage to get the rooms clean for the next night’s guests if they began a little later in the morning. But nonetheless I booked a room with checkout at 11am and someone was interrupting that just after 8.

Answer from Sonya S
There is a company that provides round trip transportation from the Airport Hotels to the downtown area for a fee of $10 (prices may differ during annual events or holiday's) per person. The hotel can set that up for you when you arrive. Thanks!
