Element Nashville Vanderbilt West End garners praise for its pristine amenities, such as clean rooms and a satisfying breakfast, though the pool and breakfast options may leave some guests wanting more. Nestled in a tranquil yet conveniently located area, the hotel boasts spacious, well-appointed rooms that are a hit with groups, despite occasional minor maintenance needs. The professional and friendly staff, particularly the valet service, enhances the stay for many. While the mandatory valet parking may surprise some with extra costs, the overall value and inviting atmosphere keep guests considering a return.

Over all we would give this hotel a 7/10. A few employees were very rude and unhelpful at the front desk. We were told our rooms wouldn’t be cleaned until after we had stayed there for a week so we constantly had to go down and ask for towels and trash bags and front desk employees acted like it was an inconvenience to them. A tall, brown haired girl was very nice and helpful at all times. Bennie Caston was AMAZING. He was thoughtful, hardworking, very personable, and went above and beyond to help us with a last minute issue. We were unimpressed with the pool. It was very small. The air turns off when you aren’t in the room which causes the room to be 77 or higher when you return. Every floor above floor 2 was hot in the hallways and there was a fly and gnat issue down in the lobby anytime you were down there. The bar only being open a few days a week after 5pm was inconvenient. Otherwise, it was a good stay. Good breakfast and comfy beds.

We traveled to Nashville for a college visit. Based on reviews I felt confident it would be satisfactory . What I didn’t expect was the warmest , most knowledgeable and helpful front desk clerk . Let’s be honest , great customer service is so rare . However , Alexis Lavon makes it look so incredibly easy . She made great restaurant recommendations , entertainment suggestions , and provided just enough for us to accomplish in our short time. The beds are awesome! Though we did not cook the kitchenette is so well equipped, and the rooms feel fresh and well attended.

We are definitely enjoying our stay at the Element hotel! The building is clean and modern. Andrew at the valet stand was great, expedient, and knowledgeable.

The breakfast that was included was pretty decent for a free hotel breakfast, and the bar and seating areas are comfortable and nicely decorated.

We stayed at the Element Nashville Vanderbilt West End on 3/11/22 with our two dogs. The reservation was under my husband's name (Marriott accounts don't allow TWO people to be listed), and the manager (female, name unknown), wouldn't allow me to check in for us. She haggled with me about it and wouldn't budge; my husband needed to come in to check us in (despite anyone being able to check in online). I had requested two queen beds, but the manger sent us to a king studio (despite us being eligible for an upgrade). We got to the room only to find trash in the room and pubic hair all over the bathroom. I called the front desk, spoke with the same manager. After about 3 minutes of being upset about the entire process, she gave us us a new room. I asked her to bring us the key, which she finally did, after hesitating about doing so. In the 2nd room, there were no plates, silverware, paper towels, cups, dish soap, dish rag, dish towel, etc (I ended up getting some of it from the cart in the hall except for the silverware/plates). We called the front desk again to get the silverware and plates that arrived 15 minutes after our takeout arrived. I called the front desk again, spoke to the same manager who was very rude, again, and not at all helpful! I asked her to have her manager call me; the manager never called me! By the way, there was pubic hair all over the 2nd bathroom floor as well! I was so exhausted from traveling all day and haggling with the manager, that I finally fell asleep. This morning, when we were leaving, there was a sheet of ice blanketing the front of the hotel, which we had to walk over to get to our car. There was NO salt/dirt spread out to prevent slips/falls. Terrible customer service and filthy room. The only positive was the comfy bed!!!! They charged us $25/night/per dog ($50 for us total), but there was pubic hair all over the place! At least we're responsible/respectful pet-owners and we covered the furniture and the bed with a spare sheet. Disgusting place and people!

Hello Heatherlb06, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with these details regarding your stay. I am surprised to hear about the numerous challenges which you encountered as they are not common nor representative of our reputation/abilities. I will personally look into these challenges and address them. We take pride in what we do and I am sorry to learn that we fell short during your stay. Regarding needing your husband to check in, this is done as a means of safety and security for our guests. If you are arriving ahead of your husband, we can add your name to the reservation ahead of time after confirming the reservation details with him. Kind regards, Mike

The hotel itself is beautiful. It's new very clean and our room was very quiet. ThI 9e kitchen well stocked and the bed was a dream. The staff were great..very nice and accommodating.
The negative is a big one..parking. You either pay $35 per night for valet and then have to wait to get your car everytime you go out or you have to park in a lot way across the street that is owned by a bar. You have to walk through the outside deck of the bar to get to the lot. And IMO this is not something I wanted to do after dark.
Also big negative is that there is nowhere to unload your car except on the street by double parking unless you can find a parking spot. There is no way to pull up to the front of the hotel under a canopy ( we were in the pouring rain) to get your luggage and things. The dollys to put your luggage on are very small so if you have more than just one bag you are out of luck. Whoever planned and designed this hotel made one huge gaffe.
The location is terrible...not close to anything unless you are going to the oncology center across the street.
The breakfast consisted af a bag with a bottle of water a banana and a pastry. When we got there there were 4 bags left and they had been gone through and things taken from the bags. Don't advertise free breakfast when it's a bottle of water and banana..
The rooms were very nice, lobby & pool area and patio great. We used the fitness center and it was very clean and limited to 2 people at a time. I felt the hotel was very covid safe.
It really is a shame they have this big parking negative because it really would be a perfect hotel.
Would we go back? no because of the stressful parking and loading/unloading issue.

It's not ideal for single vacationers looking to relax nor business travelers. And honesty even for $120 a night with Trip Advisor Plus, if I knew Saturday morning that the Jack hammer from the large construction site next door was going to start at 9am then I may well have stayed someplace else.

The hallways and rooms were new and large but cold. However, it was unusually cold outside. The room had a dinette area with a coffee maker, a microwave and frig. The water in the shower only got luke warm. There is a bus stop across the street and one can be into town in 30minutes for $2.50. It's off a thruway so one can also get to a lot of central areas for only $10 with Uber. The gym is large and adequately equipped. One must leave an extra half an hour for the breakfast line because they individually make the entrees for you. The lobby bar gave a good size pour for $8.

My family stayed at this hotel why are father was in the hospital at Vanderbilt receiving a heart transplant. Alexis worked so much with our family to help us get a good rate, the exact room we needed for dad to make sure it was accessible and she continues to check in on our mom to make sure she has everything that she needs. She went ABOVE and BEYOND and was truly so helpful during a stressful time. The hotel is also so clean and contemporary. Such a great location.

The hotel is relatively new so everything was in working order and clean. The hotel staff was very friendly.

The main problem was they charged me $35 a night for valet parking even though I didn't use it. I had to call and argue to get my $210 back after a week. It always amuses me that they can charge your card right away but it takes a week to get a credit.

There isn't a restaurant in the hotel and the breakfast is slim pickings. The air conditioning only works when there is motion so plan on entering a hot room.

New can be great but , in this case, new was awful! Room was 76 degrees when we went in and no warning from front desk staff about it being automated/sensor controlled. It took several hours to cool down to comfortable. Also, no breakfast to speak of and from 7-9 (most hotels go until 10, at least). No hot food at all. I've really had a better stay at half the money at a Holiday Inn... There was also no close parking so had to walk in the heat to a parking garage a block away. Choose a different hotel for a better stay...

I had stayed here twice before and it was pretty good, nice and clean. BUT, this past weekend I had one of the worst experiences at a Marriott in a very long time. Below are all the issues we encountered.
1. Pool was closed all day Friday and Saturday
2. Bar was closed Friday night for no reason
3. Breakfast was almost empty around 8:15 and they put no more hot food out.
4. Housekeeping had no extra pillows anywhere at the hotel
5. AC was so loud we couldn't sleep
6. Housekeeping came to our door at 8:30am when we had our do not disturb sign on the door, wanting to clean and asking when we were leaving. Mind you, I had already been given a late checkout of 4pm.
7. LASTLY, when we went to leave and get our car from valet, the valet attendant pulled up with another random hotel guest in my car. I filed a complaint with the valet company but was not happy.

Will not stay here again

NO! I couldn't believe it! At the time we stayed there, the facility was pretty new so maybe they just didn't have everything up and running... maybe it's different now. Even the Quality Inns keep coffee available to guests at ALL hours!
