Upon checking in it displayed to be nice, but once you travel to your room trash was on the floor and the elevator feels almost like it's going to stop between floors.
We came into the room and it was Nicely made beds but that nasty bathroom can go. Piss all over the towlet and mild dew in the shower. They used spray paint to cover it up. DO NOT LET THEM CLEAN YOUR ROOM THEY WILL STEAL YOUR ITEMS. THEY STOLE OUR $800.00 DOLLAR TABLET AND DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. They have fire alarms up that's not even plugged up (DANGEROUS )....
They have rude clerks and very disrespectful. And to top it off their pool looks like it has gain green in it. I REPEAT DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Do not stay here unless you don't mind bed bugs!! Woke in the morning to see them in our bed!!! The only thing good was the breakfast. We informed the desk and they said they would send someone to check the room. Needless to say I now have to go wash and disinfect everything I have with me. I took a video and they didn't want to see it.

For the life of me, I can't understand why there is a single good rating for this dump. We booked last minute via phone with hotels.com and although in the end they did they right thing, they should be ashamed for booking this place to anyone. Had I read the hundreds of pathetic reviews I would have never booked but it was late and rainy and we had been on the road with 2 kids and a dog forever. On the phone the hotels.com guy said it was nice, had nice reviews, in a nice area and comparable to Residence Inn, which is the place I wanted to start with. We drove around the parking lot a few times to wait on some of the scary looking loiters to leave the parking lot before we would even park. My husband went to check us in, the we all went into the lobby. When they saw our dog they stopped us and said they would have to give us a different room because they didn't know about the dog. Hotels.com was told we had a dog. So that took a while to change the room. The lobby smelled moldy and really bad. I was telling my 10 year old to just roll with it and not make a fuss even though I was disgusted. Took all our stuff to the 2nd floor(no luggage racks) on a scary elevator. Couldn't get our door open, my husband had to push and kick like we were a SWAT team breaking down a door. When it opened, the smell of urine almost knocked us down. We stepped into the nastiest room I've ever seen. Huge red stains covered the carpet, it was like a murder scene. Before my daughter could even burst into tears, my husband said, no matter how much money we lose, there is no way we are sleeping in here. I really think this place was a crack house and some of the loiterers were hookers. The clerk could not have been less helpful or concerned and refused to refund us. We RAN to our car and spent another hour looking for a place to stay. After 45 minutes and lots of arguing and finally speaking to a manager, Hotels.com did give us a refund. The next day in the car we were thoroughly entertained by reading the multiple bad reviews on Tripadvisor. Some highlights....."I felt violated"....."I showered with my shoes on, refusing to put my feet on the floor"....."all that was missing was the chalk outline of a dead body" That about sums it up, people. I am NOT a picky traveler, I'm very frugal and I do NOT expect a 5 star hotel to spend one night in. But honestly, I've never seen anything like this place in my life. I'd rather stay in Bates Motel.

This place is horrible! Rude staff, WiFi doesn't even work, mirror in bathroom was broken, toilet won't flush, random people sitting in hallway day and night, chairs in room were horribly stained, loud music/bass coming from cars in the parking lot in the middle of the night. This place is dangerous, ghetto, dirty, and needs to be bulldozed!

So I went ons roadtrip to Chicago with my family and the plan was to stay at a nice Marriott for the night. However, my cheap uncle decided to randomly appear at the closest hotel looking establishment there was.
Being used to staying at 4-5 star hotels, I have always been picky with inns and motels. I am also asthmatic and have major allergies.
The second I saw that there was no elevator I knew this was a terrible idea. Keep in mind that I had no clue where I was. The "ambience" wasn't precisely favorable. AT ALL. Everything was just so filthy and putrid smelling that I not once took off my shoes, showered with flip flops, NEVER touched the floor, and completely covered the bed with towels. I was absolutely terrified that I was going to be eaten alive by whatever was crawling around the room. I almost cried when I was forced to sleep in the bed and I wanted to sleep in the car. I chose the bed after seeing the area in which I was in.
Honestly, the worst place I've ever seen and I would never recommend this place to anyone unless you absolutely DONT care about hygiene or disease.
Happy Travelings!

2 of my friends and I went to Nashville to the CMA music festival. It was my first time in Nashville and most likely my last. On our way back home our flight was cancelled (Delta airlines) and they gave us a voucher to stay at this hotel for the nights we couldn't find a flight. Well Delta said we are going to send you to a hotel in Downtown Nashville and when we heard that we got excited, we were like nice in downtown Nashville. They forgot to say Downtown North. When we arrived to our hotel the receptionist was really nice and got us in right away. We asked were could we go to get a quick drink, she gave us a look like um you're better off going downtown, we don't recommend you walking around this area. "you know with the night crawlers" we were like What??? So we went to our room and holy crap was this place a crap hole. The hallways were semi dark and the carpets were all stained, the chairs in the room also had stains on them and there were sliding doors for the outside, we went outside to check it out and there wasn't anything that was inclosing the rooms outside, so anyone could break the doors and get into our room, all that was missing was the outline of a dead person. (they did say that they were doing renovations). I did not feel safe in this hotel I couldn't sleep thinking someone was going to break in. I would def not recommend this place even if the price is the cheapest during a festival or concert.

First off, I would like to urge any potential customers to not even think about coming to this horrendous hotel. My spouse and I traveled to Nashville in March for a 3 day getaway. Upon arriving to the Magnusson we immediately noticed the place looked nothing like the pictures. Dirty, old, lights out in the hallways, like something out of a horror film. Second, the staff has no clue what they are doing..either they don't know what job they applied for or just didn't get the proper training from the even worse management team. Our hotels.com price was $150 for two nights staying in a queen size bed suite, at least that was what we booked. As we tried checking in the girl at the front desk told us their was no more queen rooms available and she will "upgrade" us to a better suite. This better suite was a dual full size bed suite. I came with my spouse and now have to sleep on separate beds? On top of that they actually charged us $35 more for their mistake. After it was all said and done we received another $75 charge for a cancelation..which we never did. The front desk staff canceled our queen reservation, gave us a dual bed because they where "out" (or she didn't know how to do her job) and double charged us. Its been about 2 months now with dealing with this and we still have jot gotten our money back. The last call was today when the manager hung up on us and said she will "get to it when she has time" because she has more important things to deal with. Again, the worst service I have ever received. Not just at a hotel. Once again, save yourself from this horrible experience and do not book at Magnussen Nashville.

Im staying here right now for some job training and the hotel is nasty the rooms are terrible the toilet is crooked the outside patio deal is covered in cigerette butts and trash . Excersize room is closed , the paint on the walls dont match ,the door to the stairs slams so loud everytime someone uses it and wakes you up everytime. Elevators are slow and gross , breakfast has limited to little choices not very good , cable doesnt work , countless things that just make this hotel the worst one ive ever stayed at , motels are nicer than here .

I asked the Caucasian night clerk for a set of towels because it was one set in room...She proceeded to check the PC to see what time I checked in...Then she questioned why I was asking for towels now. .I expecting to just be handed towels not to be interrogated in front 9 two other purse aswell as a lobby full of men. I expected that one of the other staff members would pass me some towels. Instead they all stood around like I was their entertainment. She then put one bath towel on counter..I asked face cloth she said she is not allowed to GIVE EXTRAS. ..I told her I am a guest and this is a hotel. She is suppose to provide a service and that is HOSPITALITY. .
She became more hostile after that insread of being apologetic. ..What was really unacceptable was she was training and it seem that her supervisor was watching and he didn't care. She tried to justify why she couldn't give EXTRA when their weren't enough towels in the room in the first place.
As I was walking down the hall she had the nerve to Yell HAVE A GOOD DAY..At 7 PM at night....I see why the hotel has the worst reviews I ever read..
