Hyatt Place Nashville Downtown offers a mix of experiences according to guest feedback. While the room sizes and hotel location near downtown attractions receive accolades, some visitors have faced cleanliness and maintenance issues in their rooms. While the vibrant atmosphere, including live music, is a highlight for many, guests frequently mention noise disturbances.
Service quality appears inconsistent, with some praising the staff's friendliness and others noting a lack of responsiveness. Additionally, the value proposition is questioned by guests who feel the cost of services, including parking, is not reflected in the overall experience.

Staff was friendly and immediately attentive when we found that our room's carpet was wet when we arrived. Immediately moved to a bigger corner room. Room was exceptionally clean, including the carpet, which was way above the standards of some hotels we've stayed in. Complimentary breakfast buffet offered many options beyond the standard eggs and sausage: there was fresh fruit, bagels, oatmeal, yogurt, as well as juices and milk. We wish that it was available later than 9:30 a.m., considering we were on vacation and enjoying a lot of late nights out. Loved the location - just blocks away from Broadway so we were able to walk down to the restaurants easily and felt safe doing so. We can't wait to go back and Hyatt Place is hands down the place we'll choose again.

The Hyatt Place downtown Nashville met all my expectations when it came to travel. The check in was a little bumpy since my check in time was supposed to be 4 and I arrived at 430 and I still had to wait on my room to be finished up but it was only about a 5 minute wait. Parking was a little expensive but worth it! The lot filled up quickly at the hotel so it's good to snag a spot early. It's located close to Broadway and surrounded by attractions. Breakfast was good and consisted of mostly pork products for meats, but they also had fresh fruit and grains along with eggs and oatmeal. No paper products to take things back to your room but if you're smart you will figure out a way to pack up what you don't eat. Elevator worked great and the hotel was very clean. Staff was friendly and provided some decent suggestions for restaurants and activities.

This is a wonderful little hotel. It’s my favorite place to stay when visiting Nashville, and the absolute BEST location if you are attending a show at Ascend Amphitheater. Convenient parking, rooms are always clean and spacious (the standard double Queen bed room even has a couch/pull out bed), and the rates are beyond reasonable for the location.

Room was dirty. It was clear they only do a cursory wipe-down and not a proper cleaning. There were food stains ALL over the floor. Not just in my room, but throughout the hotel and by the elevators. It was north of 85 degrees the entire stay and the faucet wouldn't dispense cold water. When turned, it would give a normal stream for about 3 seconds and then make a loud clank before reducing to an unusable dribble, leaving me with no cool water the entire trip. There was a nail (nails?) sticking up at the edge of where the carpet meets the flooring to the room entry, which I stepped on multiple times. There is no drinking water in the room, nor anywhere to get water for free in the hotel without going all the way down to the bar, so I went down to the lobby grab a Pellegrino. One of the small ones, not a liter mind you, was $8. Eight. Dollars. Despite the fact that the posted placard says $3. The gym was terrible. Dirty, not even a full weight rack, and the spin machines were missing pieces on the pedals for their ridiculous Peleton bikes, which are way overkill when all you want is a little resistance training. All in all, an exceedingly poor experience for the price charged ($500 per/night). I live in Los Angeles, the most expensive place on the planet, and I have been to Motel 6s that offer better value for price.

Excellent hotel!!! upon arriving at the reception we were welcomed by a very kind girl who, as we had asked, gave us the keys to a room on the upper floor (11th floor) which was very beautiful, clean, large and with all the comforts. The structure is located very close to the center (5 minutes on foot) and is perfect for those who have to get around the city and have little time. Excellent parking service, a little expensive but in line with city prices. Good breakfast both sweet and savory. Highly recommended

Perfect location, very friendly staff and hotel was clean. We stayed on the 9th floor and our room was very quiet, minimal outside noise. Breakfast was delicious, hot homemade food, no sandwiches in plastic bags. The only negative was they charge $50 if your room is ready early, never heard of this in my life and I stay at a lot of hotels.

Before we got there, our daughter had rang advising the hotel that this was an honeymoon trip, to be told they didn’t do anything for special occasions, which was a little disappointing! On arrival we mentioned that it was our honeymoon, and was quite excited to be in Nashville and Hyatt place hotel to celebrate our special time! The response we got was quite disappointing, tbh a shrug of the shoulders was as far as it went, no congratulations or nothing! The room was ok clean well equipped with towels and room service, both found it quiet at night, no party goers coming in shouting etc. Breakfast was ok but a little basic, staff were conscientious and always helpful! There was a fire alarm set off about 3 am, probably because of issues with water supply, night desk staff seemed a bit confused in what action to take. We used the small swimming pool which was handy for a quick energetic burst. Gym available on same floor. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return as it’s handy for broadway, but main criticism was that there was a not bothered attitude regarding honeymoon! Small things I know but, it’s the little details that shine bright!

When we checked in the staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were super clean and spacious, and this hotel is conveniently located near Broadway, a short walking distance within tons of restaurants and bars and activities.
Unfortunately, on day two our visit started to go downhill. The next morning there were different staff at the desk and when we asked them a question about the all you can eat breakfast buffet, they told us those were questions for the kitchen instead of offering to find out for us, or telling us how to ask the kitchen. They sort of just brushed off our questions even though we explained that we called and asked questions ahead of booking this hotel, and they didn’t seem eager to help at all.
We checked in on a Thursday and on Friday one of the two elevators broke, and it stayed that way until we checked out on Sunday morning. Well we did have an option to also use the housekeeping elevator, the elevator not being fixed quickly, resulted in very long waits especially for those on a higher floor where using the stairs might not have been an option. It also made it impossible to get on with the luggage cart as they were constantly packed. When we did check out and ask to get a luggage cart we were told we would have to come down and get it ourselves.
The first morning we were there, housekeeping knocked on our door at 9:30 am while we were all still asleep and woke us up. On the day we checked out, they just walked into our room around 8:45 am thinking that we had already checked out when we had not. This is not a hotel where you can simply leave, you either have to check out using the phone system or go to the front desk.
This hotel does offer overnight parking which is convenient however it’s US$39 a night which I found quite high for the area. Other hotels were $10 or more less per night.
On Saturday night the staff did go around and tape notes to everyone’s door saying that housekeeping would not be coming to the rooms that day. I do appreciate that they were upfront about it, and I would assume it was either due to the broken elevator and guests having to use housekeeping‘s elevator or due to being short staffed. Unfortunately, a lot of businesses are still dealing with short staffing and there is not much to be done about that.
Lastly, I did expect drink prices to be a bit higher considering how busy the area is, but the lobby was more expensive than most of the bars on Broadway. We had a drink in the lobby and we ordered doubles and instead of being charged for a double drink (drink price plus a smaller charge for the second shot) we were charged a single drink two times making a double drink $22USS in the hotel lobby. These were also the basic well/rail options and not top shelf.
I did just want to again say how great the two ladies checking us in were, we did see them again the second night and they were happy to answer our questions and offer suggestions on where to eat etc.

Perfect location, spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Couldn’t ask for more! We came for three days of fun in Nashville and the Hyatt was a great home away from home. Less than a five minute walk to Broadway. Staff was very helpful when I forgot my toothpaste and wanted bottled water for the room.

We stayed for 4 nights and it was perfectly fine. There were 3 of us in a room and we didn't feel cramped. Fairly basic when it comes to hotels but we loved being able to walk to many of the Nashville attractions, the room was clean (and surprising quiet), and we enjoyed the variety of options at the breakfast buffet each morning. The staff was all super friendly. Good people watching coming in/out of the hotel.
