The Holiday Inn Nashville-Vanderbilt stands out for its exceptional service and vibrant Nashville vibe, with nightly live music earning rave reviews from guests. Many travelers appreciate the hotel's prime location and the convenience of the shuttle service, despite some concerns about additional fees diminishing its value.
While the comfortable beds and overall cleanliness receive high marks, there are occasional mentions of outdated decor and noise disruptions. The hotel's atmosphere and range of amenities, including live performances, are particularly popular among visitors.

Detailed Reviews
This hotel rates highly in all areas. Staff were friendly and helpful from check in to check out. Restaurant and bar staff worked hard to ensure that guests were served quickly and that tables were cleared and cleaned promptly. Perhaps an extra pair of hands at the pool and restaurant bar at peak times would ease the flow a little.
We upgraded to a superior room which was amazing - two bedrooms which meant plenty of space to spread out.
Food was fantastic especially the freshly cooked fish. Plenty of choice with salads and the desserts were all delicious. We would rate this hotel as the best all inclusive food we have had.
The downside for us was that there was no seafront walks, in fact apart from short walk along the beach there were no walks. We did catch the local bus into Alanya which was very cheap and seemed to run every five minutes or so. There we enjoyed looking round the market and walking along the seafront.
The other downside for us was the journey from airport to hotel. Firstly we had to wait 25 minutes for the bus to arrive then the driver obviously had an arrangement with a shop/cafe so we stopped for 20 minutes supposedly for a coffee and toilet visit but as the first drop off was only five minutes away this seemed ridiculous. The whole journey took about three hours so not something we would be keen to repeat.
If you want a relaxing holiday on a beach with great food this could be the place for you.

Booked a 4 night stay at this hotel. Wanted to be near town with a pool outside. Breakfast as well was on my list.
What a great choice this hotel was. From arrival and a really friendly welcome the 4 night stay here was superb.
The hotel isn't the most modern hotel I have ever stayed in but the hotel was clean and spacious. We booked a room with club lounge access (on the 10th floor).
Club lounge was a room which in the morning had cereal and pastries supplied if you didn't want to go downstairs to the main breakfast area.
The Club lounge had a fully stocked fridge with soft drinks and water which was really handy especially with the heat outside!
The hotel room was clean and tidy and we had a twin room with 2 x double beds.
Air con was good and not noisy.
Shower pressure was also good.
Pool area outside was fairly small but the (non-heated) pool was clean and some sunbeds were available and some tables and chairs.
We had breakfast buffet included in the price which happened downstairs in the restaurant (which at night had some music, singer songwriter nights).
Breakfast was great. Plenty of choice and again a lovely welcome in the restaurant.
The hotel supplied a shuttle bus to get you around and we used it a few times to get down town to the HonkyTonk bar area which was amazing and fun. Shuttle left about every 30 mins and you have a number to call when you need collecting up to about 2345 I think although we never used it to get back.
I would like to single out a lady called Gena who I understand to be the PHR at the hotel. On check in I just happened to mention that I needed a to find a specific shop to buy something for my sister. Gena was fully engaged and helped me find the store and the following day when I said they didn't stock it Gena offered to go to a shopping mall near where she lives and buy it for me (which she did) after leaving work.
Now that really is southern hospitality.
I'm already planning when I can get back to this amazing city and would absolutely want to stay at this hotel again.
Holiday Inn Nashville - you rock!
Thanks
Paul

This hotel was so awesome as far as the staff #1, being affordable, the comfort, location & cleanliness. There were 5 of us that spent three nights here for a milestone birthday. We were greeted by the smiling Cheru at the front desk who checked us in and started our amazing stay. Any questions or assistance we needed, she was on it. She even called my daughters room the morning of her birthday to wish her a Happy Birthday. The rooms were a perfect size, beds were comfortable, there was a balcony off each room and anytime we needed more towels they had them brought right to the room. The hotel restaurant The Commodore Grill was so convenient, great food & drinks. The team did a great job of moving things along. Music every night, friendly bartender, servers & table bussers. Kerry was our waitress and busted her butt for each & every table all the while of talking with the guests but also taking care of business. She gave us suggestions of places to go and things to do. We can't thank you enough Kerry! The hotel location was so close to everything that we wanted to do. The amazing 3 hotel shuttle drivers were great, shout out to both of the Bobby's and Richard. The shuttle runs from 7am- 11:45pm, you call them and they drive you to wherever you want to go (within their perimeters) and pick you back up when your done. So convenient and saves on the wallet for Ubers or Lyfts. Don't forget to tip those great guys. The pool was quite chilly and all of the towels were gone but it was still a nice place to cool off and relax. The market with beverages, snacks and whatever else you may need was convenient with it's own little kiosk and you could purchase what you needed at anytime. Last but not least, Brian the valet guy. Don't be shy and just talk to him. He had amazing suggestions for everything Nashville. That's all for now. Thank you so much for welcoming us and for your hospitality Holiday Inn Nashville Vanderbilt (Dwtn) We will be back!

The service is unprofessional.
The place is a very beautiful period and authentic residence.
But unfortunately the service contrasts and lacks tact.
Qq examples: ... there were 12 of us and the waiter found a way to move one of the chairs to rent to others without taking care to apologize before. Waited 45 minutes for a server to take the order. Addressing us in familiar language (!).
They should think about cleaning more often... the veils of the blue living room and the sofas all stained, it is unacceptable given the prices are exorbitant (1 mint tea 350DA, 2 msemen 550DA, ...) hygiene and service leave to be desired.
The management is not up to the beauty of the place, .. Out of respect for the authenticity of the place train your servers or change your manager.

This is a nice hotel in a great location. I don’t know where to start…first it is a straight shot down the street to Broadway where all the bars are with tons of live music. There is a free shuttle that will take you there in a matter of minutes and bring you back anytime before midnight. The location is perfect, far enough from the chaos of downtown with many nice restaurants within walking distance to choose from in the area. This hotel has been there for a while, but the rooms are clean with balconies and the beds are super comfortable so we got a good nights sleep after partying downtown lol. The hotel has its own restaurant on the bottom floor with live music 7 days a week. We weren’t expecting anything special for food at a Holiday Inn, but it was really good and not expensive at all! Rick our server told us this is one of the few corporate owned Holiday Inns and they have an executive chef and amazing kitchen staff so that explains it! If you go ask for Rick. He is super friendly and knowledgeable about Nashville and also a musician. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

This hotel exceeded my expectations from the moment I walked in and discovered that I had messed up the arrival date of my reservation but the front desk was able to accommodate me in a room just like the one originally requested. Every staff member I encountered was very nice, the free local shuttle was great, and my room was quiet, well supplied, and clean. The hotel bar has live music 7 nights a week (it is an organized program of talented musicians, not “open mic”) and far more of a friendly “coffee house” vibe than “creepy hotel bar” feel (trust me: I’ve been in a few of those sad bars, so I know the difference). And the Southwest Chicken salad I had at the bar was big, fresh, reasonably priced and delicious. I also enjoyed the exercise room which was bright and clean, and decently equipped for my cardio needs, even though it is on the smaller side. Pool area gives you a choice of sun or shade (big awning) which my pale self appreciated.

We were on a group travel 53 tourists, on arrival staff were friendly, rooms budget and dated, they run a free shuttle bus to and from downtown nashville, I was told its about an hour to walk, we got a taxi as the shuttle bus information was a bit iffy as to the pick up places and times, the taxi cost us $25, way over priced but we are tourists so expect the overcharging, we had a very poor thanks giving meal at the hotel, no selection of veg, just greenbeans stew, mash potato, stuffing, turkey and gravy, like school meals we all said, plus a standarised pudding no custard, cream or anything, to be honest Id have been embarrased dishing that meal out, many complained but was ignored. I wouldnt recommend this hotel, I would stay in Nashville its self next time, plus I found out another guest had cockroaches in there room, and others appear to have had flea bites on them, so again I would not recommend this hotel. I gave 2 stars due to the friendly and helpful staff.

Thank you JackieDavies for the feedback: I apologize for the less than satisfactory Thanksgiving meal. Our initial plan to close the restaurant on Thanksgiving Day with low occupancy in the hotel was the better choice and we should not have accommodated the request from your group to provide a meal unless we could have offered our usual outstanding experience. I will make sure that we provide this experience for our guests if we offer anything at all in the future. I will make sure to review the other feedback with the team as well to correct the issues you highlight. It is our goal to provide a clean, comfortable stay in the heart of Nashville and your feedback is very helpful. Thank you again for taking the time to share your comments. Overall I was disappointed. I had to wait about 15 minutes to check in. It seemed to be a busy time possibly with Vanderbilt starting school soon, but this has never happened to me before. Also, I rarely make requests, but in this case when I booked the room 2 months prior, I had asked for corner room and/or front of building but on arrival, neither request could be honored and it didn’t seem like they had tried to accommodate this at all. Additionally, I had trouble finding a spot in their paid parking lot, then had to wait more than 5 minutes for an elevator. Not at all a great start.
Though the room smelled musty and I could never get the humidity as low as even outside, it was very clean and well-appointed. I really appreciated the fold out cosmetic mirror, though in general the bathroom could use more light. The toilet seat was not a good fit and so kind of slid around as you sat down.
I don't know if this is how hotels are trending (if so, it's disappointing), but there was no real guide to services in the room, even on the TV Menu screens--just menus for room service or the restaurant. Also the “lounge access” was a joke. Just a musty smelling room with very limited non alcoholic drinks and K cups along with some cookies (and a few pastries in the mornings).
I will say the staff were friendly and parking was not an issue on my full day staying there--the lot had really emptied out. The on site restaurant is a great feature and I enjoyed some good food and music there.
If I do return to Nashville I will do a bit more research on where to stay.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, approximately 2 miles north of downtown Nashville. They have a free shuttle bus that takes you to the downtown area and can drop you off at one or two specific locations and pick you up when you call them for a pick up. The driver of the bus, Rich, is friendly and very accommodating and gave us a lot of information about downtown Nashville and some suggestions for restaurants.
Ferdinand, who works in the Commodore restaurant is absolutely fantastic! He has been at the hotel for 24 years and is one of the friendliest, hard-working, and most accommodating workers I’ve ever met!
One of the servers in the restaurant, Taylor, is also super friendly and gave us a lot of information about Nashville.
The front desk was terrific at check-in, and Melissa took excellent care of us and answered all of our questions.
The hotel room was modern and clean, and the hotel cleaning staff was terrific.
The Commodore restaurant in the hotel has live music every night, which was also fantastic! The outdoor pool was big enough to enjoy exercising in and catching some warm sun during our visit.
Our room rate included the free breakfast buffet, which has a value of $17 and was wonderful with lots of hot food options, yogurt, bakery goods, etc.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again on my return to Nashville!

The hotel was ideally located. Our first stop was valet parking. Kyle quickly assisted us in getting our luggage unloaded onto a cart and into the lobby. He was very personable, quick and efficient. Kyle treated us like 5 star guests. During our stay and departure, in addition to Kyle we also worked with Dewon and Joseph we got the same great service. They went out of thier way to help us, give us directions and local information.
I have mixed reviews about the hotel itself. It's a 3 star hotel so the review is based on that. Check in was fast. The upgraded room we selected (paid for) was right next to the elevator and made the loudest whooshing noise all night (appx 6xs an hour). The AC in the room did not work, so it stayed hot and stuffy. The bathtub/shower combo was very slippery I almost fell. The balcony door opened so we could let the cool air in but someone nearby was smoking (we were 10th floor) even though it's prohibited the smell permeated the room and we had to close the sliding door. A hot stuffy room that smelled of cigarettes. The room itself was clean, a little tired and worn. Mattress and pillows were excellent. Unfortunately we could not sleep due to the noise, sweating from the AC not working and cigarette smell. Appx 3:00am ish we are at the front desk switching room. They were kind enough to give us a room a few doors down so we could quickly get situated. The new room was nice but the desk leg was broken about to collapse. Toilet paper holder arm was broken. The AC worked sporadically, meaning when it came on it was freezing cold, then it would get stuffy but still better than the first room. Again the beds and pillows were probably the best I've encountered in a hotel including the Ritz-Carlton. Unfortunately we just weren't able to fully enjoy and cut our stay short. The staff was great.
Would I stay at the hotel again, maybe. The beds and pillows were awesome and staff friendly.
On a side note: I do NOT recommend the on-site restaurant. We tired it several times and walked away disappointed each time.

No,except for the outside of lobby area having some minor work that did not include any heavy equipment at all. No noise
It’s an outdoor pool, I would call the hotel.
