The Union Station Nashville Yards, Autograph Collection, is a hotel steeped in history and sophistication, often applauded for its elegant rooms and meticulous cleanliness. While some travelers find the costs steep, not fully convinced of the value for the price, guests consistently commend the attentive and professional service. The hotel's prime location makes it a favorite for those looking to explore downtown. However, the limited amenities and room service issues are noted, alongside mixed feedback regarding room design and lighting. Despite this, the hotel's historic charm and live music offerings leave a lasting impression.

We were not guests of the hotel but rather visitors to the hotel bar and historic lobby which is beautiful.
Arriving during Happy Hour we enjoyed specialty drinks and a delicious goat cheese and honey with toast. We were frustrated however to find small spots of mold on the toast! Acting quickly the charge was removed, the dish replaced and apologies were accepted.
Nothing could detract from the beauty of the setting and old world charm of our surroundings. The skylight roof is spectacular as is the beauty of the fireplace.

When I lived in Nashville my bank financed the first of several renovations of this property. Now the property maintains the historic feel of the train terminal with modern rooms and a nice lobby bar. Parking is very tight but the valet staff is very good at managing the chaos.
Our suite on the sixth floor had a two sink bath area and a very nice shower. The bed was large and comfortable and when the hair dryer did not work a replacement was quickly brought to us. Noise from passing trains and vibration can be felt and or heard but is not too intrusive. Breakfast is pricey but very good and I enjoyed oatmeal one day and pancakes the next.

The 120 year old Historic Union Station hotel ia former train station) is a true gem in the heart of downtown Nashville. While part of the Marriott branch, it has the uniqueness and intimacy of a smaller boutique. The lobby's soaring stained glass ceilings and elegant chandeliers take you back to another era. The staff of the hotel provided us a truly personal touch. Shout out especially to managers, Chris and Bayley and Jackie at the front desk for exceptional customer service. Each room in the hotel is unique and we were fortunate to stay in a suite on the 4 floor. The room was spacious and comfortable and the decor modern and welcoming. We were here for our anniversary and the Union Station was the perfect choice for a special celebration. Being right on Broadway it has a central and excellent location where you can walk to all the entertainment, bars and restaurants.

We drove up to the valet and was given a luggage cart and told to take our luggage into the hotel and to our room... huh? They had removed the old restaurant apparently and new restaurant was under construction. No where was this advertised and on their website they still have the old restaurant info. There was no room service.

BTW it's an old train station that still has trains passing LOUDLY out your window.

I called down to have a blanket delivered to our room. The person who answered said they would notify housekeeping. At least an hour later no one had brought a blanket to the room. When I called back down I received a very unprofessional response of, " I'm the only one here." This was said as if I was somehow supposed to know this and I was bothering them. A blanket did eventually arrive.

I'm not going to comment on the decor because it is a hotel's right to design their rooms anyway they like.

Finally no where was it written or were we told that the hotel actually did serve a hot, made to order breakfast. Why can't a sign or note be put in the rooms. The hotel could actually make more money from people hungry for breakfast.

We stay at many Marriotts and this room or hotel was not at all worth $300+/day.

We are frequent visitors to Nashville because of family living in the city. As redevelopment has transformed Nashville into destination location, we have watched in awe. Over the past 5 years, we have stayed at most of the new hotels but being a history buff, I had always wanted to stay at the Union Station Hotel. We booked a long weekend, Friday - Monday and were fortunate that the hotel was not busy. The location is great! It is walkable to the Gulch, Broadway, and pretty much all the area attractions . The building itself has beautiful bones and might one day be the gem of the city but not until the service itself matches the splendor of the architecture. The service and amenities were so very disappointing. There was no restaurant and the bar was under construction. They did offer a bar cart with limited hours and breakfast for purchase that could be brought in to the lobby. When we checked into the hotel, we realized we had forgotten our loyalty account number so we asked the front desk if they would be so kind as to look up our account number for us. It wasn't until our last day did we find a staff member that could help us with that task. Also, we had a rental car that we parked in valet but when calling down to in the morning with our ticket number, as we had been instructed to do, the valet said, "Just come get your car." Whenever we would go down to get our car, the valet was no where in sight and we had to go search for him. I would understand if he was getting another car but after a few times, we figured out he was visiting with another hotel staff member inside the hotel. Also, after being out all day on our first day, we returned to the hotel to enjoy a little down time before going out to dinner only to find our room had not been serviced. When we called down, they said that there was no house keeping because of COVID. That would have been nice to know when checking into the hotel and by the way, I don't think our room was reduced in price, due to scaled back service. We've stayed at several hotels over the course of the pandemic and service was usually offered, if wanted upon check in. Union station didn't even have a plan to bring fresh towels, new paper cups or empty the trash.

Since we were going to be there fore a few days, we arranged to have a king suite; the bedroom, sitting room, and bathroom were nice size. There was a TV in both the bedroom and sitting room that offered Netflix you could access with your own account. The bathroom was lovely, great shower, robes, well lit, and well appointed. The bedroom was quite comfortable, as well.

As for the hotel, while it has beautiful bones, it has a negative vibe and is old and tired. I look forward to seeing what it might offer after a little TLC and customer service training. In the meantime, I'll be back but staying in one of the many local hotels that exudes the vibe of this exciting city.

Stayed with the wife visiting various historic hotels. I was expecting much better than what we received. The room was ok but light bulbs were blown out in the chandelier and the carpet was dirty. The bed was very uncomfortable to which I was glad that we were only staying 1 night. We stayed on the 5th floor and it took a long time to get warm water in the bathroom. The hot water ran out during my wife’s shower the day of checkout. We payed for a park and stay and was charged an extra valet parking fee, It took a long time on hold for the customer service person to confirm that the additional charge had been credited. You’d expect a better overall experience for the price you’re paying to stay at a rated hotel! Unfortunate!!

Such a strange experience, hard to know where to begin. Four night stay, the week before the Presidential debate. Perfect weather.

It’s a beautiful facility and the few staff members we encountered were gracious and polite. What the hotel lacked however were most of the services that we expect from a Marriott property of this level. No bellman or luggage assistance. No room service or hotel restaurant. No breakfast area or coffee shop. No maid service (because of COVID), and though this was understandable, with a little effort some of the niceties the maid service provides - coffee pods and new paper cups for example during a 4 night stay, could be anticipated and provided perhaps in a small bag left by the door. Four bottles of water total for two people during our 4 night stay - any more than that and the room is charged. No printed list of charges by the door the day you check out.

The nicest thing about the hotel for us was that there’s a Grand Hyatt across the street and you’re not far from the JW Marriott. Both of those hotels had coffee shops in the lobby with restaurants and small general stores which were open (the JW has a magnificent restaurant called Bourbon Steak with the best views of the city we found). Both of those locations felt “alive”, whereas the Union Station had an almost abandoned feel.

Hard to know how much COVID affected our experience, but other hotels we have stayed at during this period of time have been able to adapt and create a near normal experience.

In summary, great city and beautiful facility. The hotel is understaffed but the staff that we encountered were all very pleasant. It just does not hit the service levels that we expect from Marriott.

Just checked out this morning. I gave it 2 stars only because it is unique and beautiful, room was clean and ready upon arrival but downhill from there. For $400 smackers a night, I don't expect my tail kissed but I DO expect basic good competent service.
Like others have stated, they do not provide cleaning and towel/coffee replacement unless you ask. After day 3, I did ask for fresh towels, and new coffee service. We piled the used linen neatly in the bathroom in the middle of the floor. When we got back to our room after dinner we opened to door to 4 bath towels on the credenza with a few coffee pods and a bunch of surgar and creamer we don't use in a plastic bag. AND our pile of used towels untouched in the bathroom. I took them down to the night manager and politely told him for $400 a night I expected better service than I'd get at a Holiday Inn. His voice said, yes Sir, sorry Sir, I'm going to have management make an adjustment on the bill, but his facial expression said what do I care? I just got the bill. The only ADJUSTMENT was a $6.00 charge that is unexplained....geez.
Stay at the Courtyard for 1/2 the price.

We loved the location between downtown and The Gulch and the high ceilings and chandelier in the room were really outstanding. The hotel lobby itself was beautiful and it had live music often and a good bar. I was able to get free coffee to go each morning on my way out. The room (516) was very quiet despite being outside the elevator and we slept well.

One problem area was that our room keys literally never worked and we had to go down to the desk virtually every time to get new ones. Also, there was virtually no hot water our whole stay. It was luke warm and very unpleasant to shower most of the time. Also our room was never cleaned despite being told it would be attended to today.

I am reviewing the restaurant only. It is excellent! I enjoyed a fine lunch, sitting in the main hotel lobby which is grand and gorgeous. Beautiful interior decor in this hotel. The lunch food was delicious and the waitress service was very good and yes, it is an expensive restaurant. There was a live musician playing country and folk-style songs. This hotel is a must-see when you are in Nashville. Be sure to stop in and wander around. It's a super-nice, classy place with tons of history.

The hotel is about a mile west from the river. The hotel has six floors with guest rooms, four floors above the lobby level and two floors below the lobby level. The higher floor rooms facing east are probably too low to see the fireworks.
