Detailed Reviews
Hotel's Favourite
Reservations were made via the Hilton app (highly recommended), check in was through the app which was uneventful. We were here for one night.
We were greeted by staff at the desk upon our arrival. This hotel utilizes the keyless doors that can opened by the app.
Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was located within walking distance to restaurants and shopping (big plus).
There were two minor issues that we experienced that did not require hotel staff interaction.
1. Our trash receptacles had their bags not installed. We had to put the bag in the receptacle to use (bathroom only). We did not use the other.
2. The room had only two USB ports for charging smart devices. The USB receptacle was mounted at the desk. The desk lamp was connected to a receptacle below the USB ports, partially blocking the lower USB which rendered it useless.
With current technology of smart devices, all hotels should be better equipped with USB charging capabilities in more than one centralized location.

Bed was comfortable-staff were great. The room was very dark and the bedroom area needs another light. The bathroom was fairly clean except the bathtub was grungy at the bottom and around the overflow in the tub - needs a good scrub. Room 114.

Wonderful stay! We were welcomed at the door with friendly smiles by wonderful staff. They recommended a great restaurant to eat at and were happy to help every time we had any questions. The room was very clean and perfect for what we needed. The whole bathroom was white and showed how clean everything was! The indoor pool was amazing, we had a great time swimming. Everyone who worked here, housekeeping staff, the ones serving breakfast, they were all so kind and so professional. We will stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

In the past, Hampton Inn has been a great hotel to stay in … this was not the case with this location.
I understand that b/c of COVID, housekeeping protocols have changed in the fact that housekeeping is only done if requested. They asked me at checkin if we wanted it daily, I said yes. The first day they did replace the towels, but didn’t empty the trashcan which was overflowing. The second day, they didn’t even check on the room, and at the end of the day when we got back from 4 wheeling all day, in the cold, and ready for a hot shower, there were no clean towels, dirty towels still on the floor, and the trashcans that we picked up and put all in the bathroom so they were emptied, still full and overflowing. I went to the front desk and was given towels and a bag to put the trash in and told to put it outside the door. The bag was way too small to empty two trashcans so the trash fell all over the floor so we then had to p/u food, ect that had fallen out (gross).
The day we arrived, the shower head was covered in mildew and orange soap scum. I wanted to complain to the night desk clerk, but my husband told me there was probably nothing they would do about it. I proceeded to clean it myself with a washcloth as best I could.
The mattresses desperately need to be replaced as they were very bouncy and you could def feel the springs. Every time my husband moved it woke me.
The other thing, and this is not location specific, but in today’s world, I highly suggest they start incorporating gluten free dining into their breakfast. I knew already from staying at other HI that a gluten free breakfast was not included and planned accordingly. This is why the trashcans were so full b/c my non celiac husband would go to the buffet to eat every morning and I have a travel toaster and egg cooker to make breakfast in the room. I know other hotels provide packaged pancakes, muffins, bagels, ect that are gluten free and with today’s celiac awareness, I don’t understand why what has been a prestigious brand in the past doesn’t make sure that those clientele are taken care of.

First, when I inquired about our bottles of water, the clerk said they were reserved for gold members and above only. What? Since when? Then we had no towels. That was easily fixed. But the room was dirty. There was dog hair in the corners and along the baseboards of our room. (We are pet owners, but please vacuum the pet hair up from the last guests). I walked across the room in light colored socks. They weren't light colored anymore. More of a dirty brown. The pool was out of order. The treadmill was broken. The stationary bicycle was sort of functional.
But at least we had clean sheets. Breakfast was pretty much the same as most Hamptons, so was very acceptable.
Hilton did send us coupons to use for our next vacation. The hotel manager called us to apologize about the room and the fact that we did not receive our bottles of water. Apology was accepted. My main reason for complaining, which I did very politely, was to inform management that there was a problem with housekeeping. Everything was handled in a very adultlike manner.

I always stay in Hampton Inns because they are usually so nice. This hotel was outdated. The usual high quality complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotions mounted inside the shower were not there. Maybe I shouldn’t have expected that, but that is the standard of the Hamptons that I usual get. I pay more for this hotel line because it always nice! The bed was old and uncomfortable. The mattress on the sofa bed was in even worse condition. I woke up with a back and neck ache from the mattress. There were bugs in our room. The carpet was very old. There were loud noises during the night that sounded like a cart rolling without the wheels actually rolling. The laundry was nearby and was very noisy as well. Overall, this was not worth the price paid, and I left disappointed. The only good part about this hotel was that the breakfast was OK and the people who work there are very nice! The indoor pool was green and down for maintenance and we were offered to go across the street to the Doubletree to swim if we wanted

I frequently stay at Hampton Inns and they tend to be a mixed bag. This one is an older property that has not been updated, but was clean and has been reasonably well maintained. It’s located on a busy road with lots of chain restaurants. It’s unsightly and few places close enough to walk to. Hampton Inns rise and fall on their free breakfast and this one was just ok, with Uber-cheap cutlery, minimal fresh fruit and oatmeal so thick you could almost cut it with a knife, but good toppings for the waffle station, fresh-tasting muffins and good hard-boiled eggs. The coffee was also excellent and they had delicious peanut butter cookies in the lobby. It’s an ok hotel for just the one night I was here, but it was relatively pricey for a discount hotel that wasn’t in a great location and in a small city.

The room had a stale, musty smell upon checkin. It wasn’t horrible, so I decided to suck it up and not complain. My mistake. I checked in late and after grabbing dinner, I pretty much went to bed. Admittedly, I didn’t sleep too badly. The room was dark and the bed was comfortable. I wake up around 7, grab a very standard Hampton breakfast, and return to the room, which I notice is pretty much across the hall from the housekeeping laundry and break room. The staff was so loud. They had no regard for anyone staying nearby. Cackling, yelling and screaming…all before 8 AM. I attempt to drown them out and get some work done with the tv. The only thing showing there is snow. I’m pretty savvy and tried different input options, but could only get snow. The largest issue was the shower. There was a steady dribble instead of adequate water pressure. So, I could not even take a shower. The front desk clerk, though friendly, was only able to grant me 2500 points for the inconvenience. The amount of points the night would have cost was 30,000. Hilton Corporate did take better care of me, but this property is not up to snuff.

Have stayed here in past but won’t again. Room was clean (a positive) but beds uncomfortable (dips to center, feel innersprings in mattress), sheets too small for bed, towels threadbare. Personnel not helpful when total room charges higher than on reservation. Personnel did not observe posted covid masking precautions.

We stayed overnight here and the room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. They even have Neutrogena toiletries! Abbie at the front desk was welcoming. The included breakfast had fresh sliced strawberries and blueberries, a first! Very nice hotel. I am hooked on Hampton Inn.
