Hosts are very nice, accommodations were very comfortable, price was reasonable, and breakfasts were fantastic! That probably summed it up but a few insights. Apparently only the honeymoon suites have tv's. A bonus for some and perhaps not for others This entire area (as in 40-50 miles) us pretty much a dead zone for AT&T cellular. A bonus for some... My wife and I are doing two-day get-aways to quaint small-town destinations with specific historical appeal and atmosphere. We chose Red Boiling Springs because of its history as a source of healing mineral springs. Armour's Hotel is as authentic as it gets. One of the original local hotels of a century ago, Armour's offers mineral baths drawn from the same... More

We stayed in the John Wayne room for one night on September 18th. Had a great time. Room was very clean and well decorated. Lots of antiques throughout the house. Debra, Dennis and their family treated us like family and always made sure we felt at home. Breakfast was great!! You will not leave hungry for sure. Planning on staying... More

My husband and I stayed in the "John Wayne" room at The Armour, on October 17, 2015, and it was a wonderful experience. We missed breakfast, due to illness, but it smelled terrific. The proprietors are wonderful people--very cordial and helpful--and they were eager to answer questions about their historical property. Our room was right next to the dining room,... More

We had a one-night "escape", and this was a lovely place to visit. Plenty of places to relax outside of the room - a reading room, several living room-type spaces (one with a TV), and a large porch, all of which are furnished with comfy furniture. Our room was comfortable and quiet. We had both dinner and breakfast, both of... More

We stayed in the Rose Room, a perfect little cozy love nest on the second floor of the hotel, near the outside upper porch, with its porch swing and several little sitting areas to just relax and watch the world go by. We also enjoyed the couples mineral baths and massages (one of the best we've ever had), and Debbie's... More

Most come to stay here for vacation or to get away, but I actually stay here a few times a year for business. Debbie and Dennis are the most gracious hosts and are very accommodating. Their breakfast is amazing, but I often need to leave earlier than it's served. Debbie will make me whatever food I want to go- from... More

Couldn't ask for better hosts, like staying in there home. If looking for a B&B away from anything this is the one to pick. Very relaxing and so close to nature, fall asleep to the crickets and wake up to the birds quriping.

This was my 2nd stay at The Armours. We went for the 4th of July weekend, and it was perfect. The place is only 1 1/2 hours from Nashville, so easy to get to (even since we had to drive to Kentucky to get champagne as all the liquor stores in TN were closed). We had the Honeymoon suite, which... More
