    Nice place to hike the Backbone Rock Trail to the AT. Head north on the AT and arrive in Damascus which is around 6 miles one way. The backbone rock trail is strenuous so please make sure you bring plenty of water. The fishing on...More

    Took our motorcycle group to Backbone Rock and it was very cool. Sits along the river and riding through the rock was really neat. Worth you effort to drive or ride up this way if you are along Hwy 421. Nice stop for anyone coming...More

    This is a rec area within the Cherokee National forest. It's beautiul, had a small river that runs by it, picnic tables and restrooms. There is a wonderful hiking trail up Backbone rock
