We stayed here for one night on our way to Nashville and wish we could have stayed longer!! The view from our cabin was of Watts Bar lake and we couldn’t have picked a more beautiful place. The staff, without exception were welcoming and friendly and it had a real family feel. Our room was clean, inviting and did I mention the view?!?! We hired kayaks which were 10 metres from our room and had a half day kayaking up the lake - and we only saw two other boats all the time we were out there! Food was great too, with quick service and plenty of it!! The resort manager, Norm, deserves a special mention for being so welcoming to a couple of Brits only in for one night! If you get the chance, go! We just hope we can get back there sometime soon!!

after making reservations 5 months in advance 1 month before arrival time they notified me and said they were raising the rates, $200 per week. We accepted the new rates under protest. Upon checking in, we asked if the payment included all the charges for our stay and we were assured that all charges were included. When we arrived home we found another charge on our credit card and called to find out that they "said" the dock fees had been left off. The dock fees should have been included in the amount we paid and were assured that was all we owed. We had stayed here for four years prior and had not had any problems. HOWEVER, I would not recommend this resort, as it appears they are only interested in misleading the customer and gouging them for extra fees.

We were excited to try a new place to eat and hopefully a place we could frequent often. This is not the place. The staff are friendly and there were 3 cooks in the kitchen. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. There were only 5 people in the restaurant at lunch time. This tells you all you need to know. The BBQ sandwich was okay, no sauce was provided. The sweet potato fries were okay, says come with marshmallow sauce but it didn't, after asking for it, it came cold and was hard to dip the potato fries in it. Lacked flavor. The Pizza dip sandwich and chicken tenders dripped with grease. The tenders were not crunchy but very soggy. The crinkle fries were okay, needed salt. The hot fudge cake $8 was very good. Our bill before tip was $45.00. We had 2 waters and one sweet tea. We will not be back as the menu is very limited and had few choices we would actually eat. $57 after tip for a lunch we had to bring home to the dogs. View is gorgeous. Rental boats for around $200ish a day plus gasoline.

Front Porch Restaurant is a nice surprise for breakfast. They also serve lunch and dinner. The restaurant is seasonal March to October. Good choices from eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, omelets, pancakes and French toast. The porch is a good choice for seating to have the beautiful lake to gaze at while enjoying your delicious meal. Family friendly, nice staff, reasonable prices.

We were here with a group of friends from college days and had a wonderful reunion. We stayed in rooms 7-10. Room #7 was a two bedroom and had enough space for us to gather to play a game of Farkle, but most of the time we just sat out on the porch and enjoyed the view of the water and being with each other. There is a marina and we rented a pontoon for an afternoon. There is a playground for children and a basketball goal with a concreted play area for shooting hoops. We ate all our meals at the restaurant here and there is enough choice to keep it interesting. Breakfast service starts at 8 a.m. and they are very accommodating about special requests. You may bring your own wine. They sell a wide selection of beers. You can put your meals on the room tab which is very convenient. I assume you can rent a slip if you have your own boat to bring. Rooms were very clean. We had #8 which is an efficiency with a nice size refrigerator, sink, stove, etc. Glasses, plates, silverware were provided. In addition to our group, there was a group of about 12 fishermen that I was told return year after year so yes, this would be a good place if you like to fish. I noticed that they trailered their boats. It is comfortable and prices are quite reasonable. I would definitely return here. (There is free wifi in the office/restaurant area. I had AT&T cell service and was never unable to get cell data.)

I have been meaning to write this review for the last two years because we have stayed at Arrowhead Resort twice after traveling by boat from Fort Loudon Lake. It is about a six hour river trip and we do it during leaf season to enjoy the spectacular views East Tennessee has to offer along the way. Last year we saw two Bald Eagles en route. Our destination, Arrowhead Resort, always seems like being welcomed home.
We travel with our dogs (three of them) and Arrowhead is a dog friendly place, providing you respect the leash rules and control your pets, which we do. Our dogs love it there and so do we. The marina is sweet and easily accessible, easy to find by GPS or map. And, it is load in and load out as the resort can provide you with a golf cart if you overpack like we generally do.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. We bring snacks and our own beverages, but we generally eat dinner and breakfast at the marina restaurant which is really quite tasty. The breakfasts are particularly yummy and stay with you for a long trip on the river and the prices are very reasonable.
This is a family oriented business and is generally quiet and peaceful. We always sleep well and feel rested when we begin our journey back up the river. Arrowhead is a wonderful little jewel. It isn't fancy, but if you are looking for basic comfort and cleanliness and a beautiful spot on Watts Bar Lake, you can't go wrong here.

My father in law lives on Watts Bar Lake and this is one of the few places he will take us out to eat when we visit! The resort is in such a beautiful setting and the restaurant is like eating at home. My in laws love the taco salad and I'm pretty sure they order it every time! I had a burger and it was great! It's a very inexpensive dinner. Maybe $50 for 4 people! Haven't spent the night but the cabins look cute and they have good boat docks. Very nice people.
