If you want an extra clean, well-appointed room on the quiet side of the Smokies all for a reasonable price, the Townsend Gateway Inn is the place to stay. While it lacks the high dollar amenities of the big chain hotels, it definitely surpasses many...More
We are coming here for many years with our motorcycle groups. Peter takes good care about everything and Mike and his famous BBQ´s are legendary. Close to the Smoky´s and the Dragon. Great fishing and the tubing on the river in the summer cools you...More
We enjoyed two days at the Gateway Inn. Our first trip with a dog. The room was very clean. Wood floors that are mopped after each visit. The owner brought a basket of goodies for us, after asking our preferences. We loved the city walkway...More
Very friendly owners. The room was very clean and cozy. Received a welcome basket upon arrival full of snacks. The view out the window looked right at the mountains. There were two rocking chairs right outside our room. Great stay.
Very nice place to stay in Townsend. very comfortable and owners are awesome. just wish this place had a pool. We vacation with our grandchildren often and this is a must for them, but with adults only it was fine.
thanks for the hospitality!

We are located less than 2 miles from the Cades Cove entrance to the Smoky Mountains National Park. In the park you can enjoy hiking on the many trails throughout the park some with waterfalls as their destination. The park also has the Cades Cove motor loop where you can see wildlife such as bear, dear, turkey along with some of the old cabins and churches. Within a few minutes drive we also have horseback riding and zip lines. In the summer months you can float down the Little River, located just across the street. We do offer group rates, please contact us by phone at (865) 238-0123 for more information on group rates.
