We stayed in Bastrop one evening so I would do a run at the state park. We arrived and were told about First Fridays, where the businesses stay open late and art galleries can be viewed late. Shawn told us how to get to a family friendly restaurant, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The TV in the room was...

We lodged at the Pecan Street Inn for a week as a part of a one-month late winter visit to Texas. The owners of the inn, Bill & Shawn, were the perfect representatives of Texas hospitality. They welcomed us by giving us free range of the home where they raised their children, gave us good information about the local area...

Very hospitable hosts. Home cooked breakfast. You know the place is good when other guests are multiple repeat customers. Charming home with beautiful original woodwork. Walking distance to historic area with shops and restaurants. Bastrop is a gem.

We stayed at this B&B directly after our wedding, before going off on our honeymoon. The place is very relaxed, quaint, and with wonderful owners. We enjoyed our stay here! We stayed in the Marais Suite for three days. My husband had requested a bit of extra romance and the owners offered champage, flowers, and rose petals! It was quite...

Pecan Street Inn is one of those places that feel like your grandmother's house when you were 5 years old; Spacious, welcoming, and comfortable. Built in 1903, it retains much of the original wooden trim around interior doors and walls so it has a lot of the features long gone from most hotels and B&Bs. Of course it's been modernized...

I felt like I was back home in my little town back East. I love to visit home for a short time...but I couldn't live there! That's how Bastrop is. Great to visit, relax, walk, breathe. I took my boyfriend for his birthday because he loves being in the country. I need a town. So this was a good cross...

We held our annual Planning Meeting at the Pecan Street Inn in January of 2015. Shawn and Bill were very gracious and allowed us to hold our day-long meeting in the comfort of the Inn. We brought in pot-luck lunch and got a great start to our new year!

Alpha Gamma Deltas from TCU, who went to school together in the '60's and '70's, had a reunion last weekend at the Inn. It was just like the good old days! We had so much fun in this lovely house, which looks like a sorority house. What a beautiful, comfortable setting within walking distance of great shops and restaurants! The...

Stayed here with VERY last minute reservations. They were happy to have us, despite our last minute spontaneity! Hosts were so friendly, can tell this is something they enjoy and love doing. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast was delicious, and we had the pecan waffles we had read so much about. This is the place to stay...
