The Pecan Street Inn is a delightful small-town getaway in Bastrop, the second-oldest incorporated city in Texas. Innkeepers Shawn & Bill Pletsch, who raised their children in this old house, currently live off-site, but their hospitality is second to none. They will be as helpful as you wish them to be, without being intrusive. They made everything just right for...

We had a great stay here. The owners are very helpful and cooked a great breakfast. The house is completely individual - large old rooms; comfy sofas.

This 2-story historic home is as charming as it looks! Our hosts worked diligently to ensure that our stay was comfortable and inviting. The porch provided a relaxing sanctuary to let the work-week stress melt away . . . whether it be enjoying drinks, sharing conversation w/ fellow guests, or slipping into a good book. The location is convenient to...

My mother and I booked this site unseen. We were very pleased with the location, since we were there for the antiques fair in Warenton. The B&B was very charming and our host Bill & Shawn were so very nice. Our room was exactly like they described and having our own private bath was also a plus. Breakfast was absolutely...

We enjoyed our stay at Pecan Street Inn. We were there for our 30th anniversary. (3 nights) Just wanted to get away. Glad we stayed there. The owners, Bill and Shawn were great hosts. Breakfast was good, and complete. I had alot of questions about the history of the house. (I remodel homes in San Antonio) They know the history...

We had a great time with Pecan Street Inn as our "home base" for our recent wedding. Though guests were spread out in several places around Bastrop, everyone felt comfortable gathering at PSI in the evenings. The house is beautiful and very well-located - and quiet inside despite being close to the main road. I agree with another reviewer that...

Excellant pecan waffles. Truly a house with a lot of character and the friendliest neighbohood cat one could ever expect.

Beautiful old home and very nicely decorated. The breakfast was outstanding and the hosts were very kind and friendly. They were helpful and recommended places to go and to eat. We enjoyed our stay, and the only constructive criticism I have to offer is that the master bedroom mattress needs to be replaced, and the pillows and bedding as well....
