The staff were delightful and very friendly. Breakfast was amazing every day. I wish the menu was a bit more extensive for dinners since there aren’t really other options nearby. My only regret is not staying longer!

My husband and I have just returned from a great week at Gaia Riverlodge! It was a stunning setting and amazing staff -- Freddy at the restaurant, Kobe at reception, Rick the most knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Such natural beauty, felt so high end and true to the natural beauty of Belize. We really debated for a long time whether to go to the beach or the rainforest or both and we're so happy that we decided to stay at Gaia for the entire time. For accommodations, we stayed in the Riverside Villa. It was absolutely breathtaking and felt like you were alone in the rainforest. We just returned from 3 days at Gaia Riverlodge, and I have to say, it was an excellent experience. We live in Belize on the beach in Placencia, and try to getaway to the San Ignacio area as "vacation". staying at different jungle resorts each time. We have stayed at many others, and finally choose Gaia. From the moment we arrived, it was a first class experience, from check in, to our beautiful river view room (River). The restaurant / bar was top notch ! The special lobster / steak Valentines Dinner, accompanied by a live violinist was one of my best experiences worldwide ! My husband and I started our honeymoon here at Gaia — the best decision we could've made. Planning our visit with them was a breeze (SO many excursions to choose from, and Geo helped narrow it down for us). The moment you step onto the property, you know you'll be well cared for. We spent 4 days there and while that did feel like plenty, we were sad to leave the gorgeous views, endless activities, amazing staff and unreal food. Truly a 5/5 experience! THE PROPERTY: Absolutely gorgeous; photos can't do it justice. Our first few days were a bit chilly and overcast and it was STILL stunning. Our stay at Gaia was wonderful! The hospitable and helpful staff made it a very special time. Whether we were relaxing on site near the waterfall, enjoying the fresh and flavorful menu, or off on exciting excursions to the Mayan ruins and cave system, Gaia made our trip a memorable experience. We tried almost every cocktail and highly recommend the pepita mai tai, but honestly they were all delicious.

My husband and I visited Gaia for our honeymoon and both agreed it was one of the best lodges/resorts we’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Kobi, Azel, Freddy, and the whole Gaia team are truly wonderful. They made us feel special, the food was amazing, the grounds were beautiful, our room had incredible views, and we’ll remember every moment. We even walked away with a coffee mug to cherish at home. What a fabulous, unique, and beautiful experience! Gaia Riverlodge will take your breath away as soon as you walk on the property. The setting is stunning, and everything is designed with such thought and care—from the landscaping to the dining room to the individual huts. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and repeatedly said that we couldn't have picked a more perfect, relaxing place. The accommodations are unique and comfortable. No AC, but no need! It cools down at night, and that says a lot coming from someone who is always hot. The food is also great (my favorite was breakfast), and we enjoyed dining there on the package so we could try multiple things every day. Be sure to taste the soursop ice cream! We recently stayed at the Gaia Riverlodge for five nights. We cannot say enough about this wonderful place. The room, environment, and food were all excellent but it was the people that made it exceptional. They waiters and staff personally greeted us each day by name. We also were fortunate to go on four tours, and each guide was amazing! If you are planning to travel to Belize, I would put this at the top of your list of places to stay.
