Want to walk 3 min and be in the river? Want to catch big fish ? Want to have tons of fun ? This is a gem only 1.5 hrs west of San Antonio. Beautiful RV spots under the huge oak trees. Don't need full hook up, they have a dump station .we did not stay in the area of... More

Our group of 8 cyclists had been renting a couple of houses in Camp Wood, but this is every so much better. We stayed in the Big House cabin, which had plenty of room to stretch out, a good kitchen for making dinner, and a really nice covered porch which was great for watching a storm and eating dinner. A... More

Our cycling group stayed in the spacious Big House cabin, which afforded a straightforward, clean kitchen for dinner-making, an ample picnic table on the porch for dining and drinking, and plenty of shelter from the overnight thunderstorms to keep our bikes dry! The pool is huge and fancy, and is an area destination for kids looking for outdoor fun, and... More

My family stayed at Big Oak River Camp this past weekend in their 2 BR/ 2 Bath cabins and it was definitely better than expected. Our "Pecan Cabin" was right next to the pool area, with splash pad for the youngins. The location was perfect, with awesome river swimming/kayaking/tubing less than a mile down the road. The cabins were very... More

Very nice RV park with clean pool and small but well-designed splash pad. Amenities are fantastic for the area. It is expensive but they are pretty much the only game around Camp Wood so I guess that is to be expected. Cabins are nice but very small, don't include linens and do not have a separate bedroom. People are very... More

We stayed in a very nice Cabin close to the River. It had everything we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. Watched the deer every morning and woke up to the Turkeys calling from their Roost along the River. Great place to stay and the Staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend and will stay here in... More

Just spent the weekend at Big Oak River Camp Park and it was great! The RV spots are not too cramped and have electricity, water, fire pit, picnic table, and bbq grill. They also have a laundry room, putting green, a driving range, swimming pool, splash pad, basketball court, playgrounds, and a sand volleyball court. The people running the store... More
