Will stay longer when I get around to the tour of neat outdoor places (in Texas and points West) with accompanying neat accommodations! Great place from which to venture forth into Palo Duro Canyon,12 miles west, and--to switch to neat indoor places--the Plains Museum, only a four blocks walk from Hudspeth House. Great breakfast and cookies are a bonus!

We have enjoyed this lovely home and the hospitality there on three occasions, and it is always a truly restful retreat! Van and Jill serve a delicious breakfast. (We've enjoyed quiches, caramel french toast, sausages, fruit and yogurt with her homemade granola!) The porch is constantly inviting guests with porch swings and rockers. It's almost like stepping back in time...

We had a great stay at Hudspeth House. Our room was very comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. The location is convenient. I absolutely loved the old house, it's architecture, and furnishings. Overall a great experience.

Crazy that homes could be purchased out of a Sears catalog at one time. Even more interesting that this home was moved in one piece in 1913 from a few blocks to it's present location.

We enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were very comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed morning coffee, afternoon snacks, front porch swings and rockers, and good company. The owners were kind, friendly and offered grace before breakfast each morning. I enjoyed the hallway bookshelf magazines, too. Would definitely book again!

We spent a Saturday night there after attending a performance of "Texas," which was marvelous & highly recommended. Earlier in the day prior to checking in we spent some time at the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum, which was incredible & also highly recommended. We stayed in the large Georgia O'Keeffe room on the second floor at the front of the...

The Hudspeth House is a an absolutely delightful accommodation. The house is beautifully appointed. Our room on the first floor was perfectly comfortable. The room even had two, TWO, chairs with arms in which you can sit and read. A rare provision anymore. Jill and Van are the consummate hosts, and the breakfast is light and lovely. If we are...

It is nice to have a couple of chairs in a room. Funny you mention that...my mother always made note of B&Bs that offered that in an accommodation as well. Thank you for staying with us!

Stayed at the Hudspeth House when visiting Palo Duro Canyon. The owners made allowances for our food allergies at breakfast--yummy, orange-flavored french toast. The beds were comfortable. Was grateful that is only 15 minutes from the canyon. Robbie tK
