This boutique hotel is a great place for a weekend stay in Big D. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I really I enjoyed Ishmael who seemed to be everywhere from the front desk to the restaurant. The Front Door was a good choice for breakfast. The room was Premier King with a pool view with excellent bed and pillows....

The Lumen is perfectly located for anyone visitng SMU, HP Methodist Church or anything in the Park Cities. The hotel itself is lovely. Stylish modern decor, plenty of room in the lobby to visit, great bar and restaurant. It also has a nice pool that can be open or enclosed and loaner bikes. Also looked to be pet friendly. We...

Directly across the street from SMU is the Lumen Hotel. It's a nice property , mid century feel. Rooms are perfectly acceptable with the Loft Suite rooms being quite nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But the key to this property is it's great location for anyone visiting SMU

I was here for a job interview in February. I made a terrible and embarrassing mistake on that day -- I forgot to bring my suit with me. I didn't notice this until it was 10pm! I needed to meet the interviewer at 8am -- really no time to fix my mistake. I was clueless, so I called the front...

Okay, I accept some blame... I reserved two rooms online for my sister & B-I-L, and my wife and me. The form asked for info about "1st guest" which I filled out as me. Then it asked for name (only) of "2nd guest." I assumed that was my wife since it only asked for a name. Wrong. When we checked...

Stayed here for one night. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. The room itself is quite lovely and has recently been renovated. The small details in the room were what made me enjoy my stay. Will definitely stay here again in future. Room service was prompt and menu items were pretty standard. Nothing incredible or outstanding from the hotel restaurant, but...

My husband had a business trip to Dallas, so I decided to grab our 2 small children and tag along. This isn't exactly a hotel for kids, but everyone was very sweet to them and made them feel welcome. The rooms were beautiful and modern. We picked the hotel for its proximity to the Park Cities and convenience to where...

Love the modern decor, valet parking, nice pool and restaurant. Bellboy helped with bags and rooms are wonderfully appointed. The mini bar is overpriced in the room and putting out a water bottle marked 5$ is ludicrous - either offer it for free or put it in the minibar. Other than that, all good.

Love the Lumen. I stayed there more than ten times in the last three years. I look forward to visiting Dallas. The hotel is chic, and friendly. the staff is very eager to please and help. The restaurant, the Front Room has an excellent menu and wines. In the morning fresh delicious coffee and the NY Times. At five o'clock...

We stayed here on a Wednesday night in February on an impromptu trip to Dallas. We booked a standard king room at about 6:30 p.m. over the phone, and were given a suite upgrade since it was last-minute. The hotel was easy to find and valet service very quick ($22 charge). The location right by the SMU campus and Highland...
