I will start my review by the shocking fact that they do not provide anything in your room NOT EVEN A BOTTLE OF WATER. And even more shocking NO WATER TO EVEN BUY IN THE HOTEL now put this into context. No water?? I stay in around 5 hotels per week and I leave reviews if they are outstanding or outrageous. In this case outrageous. To add to this Rude staff Uncleanliness in the rooms Had not even replaced the body wash and shampoo in the shower cubicle, they were screwed on the wall but not been refilled. The room smelt musty In pure shock in how bad this hotel is now and when I spoke to the front desk manager Garland White he simply told me the hotel was under new management and things did need working on!! but yet you are still charged the full amount. This is not and should not be an excuse. The hotel Manager Kevin Gilbert has been made aware of how bad this place really is. Looking at some of the other reviews it seems they may have been under previous management.

I never write reviews but I have always loved this hotel and it's a shame to see it not living up to previous stays. First the valet was awful the entire stay. Each time it took between 30 and 60 minutes to get our car. Even trying to call for us didn't work since no one picked up. I understand in a covid environment, the limitations on housekeeping. But 3 towels for a double room for the entire stay is just not great planning. Also, if you're not providing housekeeping, please make sure that the soap dispensers are full prior to check in. I was disappointed that the bar and restaurant were closed due to water damage but there was very little accommodation for that issue or to improve guest experience. Also 2 working elevators during covid was a bit much with people cramming into them. All in all ,I'll rethink this stay in the future.

There is little to be desired about this hotel, snuck between the fabulous Joule and the Adolphus. Not a single beverage, happy hour, or “fresh made cookie” in sight but still boasts these things on their website. Nothing like lying to get your customers. They claim covid but last I checked, everyone else made sure you know what they offer and what they don’t. So basically, a scam. Pipes busted last week but they are still open Nevermind blocking off all the areas one would normally want to walk. Again, no mention of this until you show up. Don’t waste your time. I’d choose a laquinta over Magnolia and I’m not a fan of any corporate chain.

My husband and I arrived for check in and decided to valet. We walked in to get our room keys and drop bags off in the room. The bed was made and towels were folded but nothing else was cleaned. The bathroom was disgusting with hair all over the bathtub and toilet. It was almost like housekeeping didn’t clean anything! The shower didn’t drain properly so as I showered I was standing in a puddle of water. I wouldn't normally think that walls would need to be wiped down but the hotel room walls were gross! There were three windows in the room with shades and only one worked when pulling up. We wanted to see outside and we couldn’t even get it to stay. As we were leaving for dinner we went downstairs to tell the front desk and he wrote everything down. Coming back to the hotel no one was at the front desk to ask so we went back to room. All the shades were still down and only the one still worked. The walls/bathroom were still gross. The next morning I sent a message for valet to get the car. We waited and waited but nothing. We ended up walking down to check out and our car was still not out there. No one was at the front desk to ask nor outside at valet. Finally someone comes out to the front desk and I ask about our car. She said she couldn’t find any information on the valet driver. I was getting pretty frustrated at this point! We have to pay $32 for valet and we can’t get our car when we want to leave. We checked out and finally got our car. This stay was suppose to be a nice get away but it was the opposite. We should have never stayed here and just went back home.

I never write these EVER! My over all stay with the Magnolia was wonderful. My first night there the front desk girl was so pleasant and helpful. No where in my stay was I told valet didn’t open til 9am. This morning when getting dressed I text the valet as told on my card to do so and waited for a response like the reply text stated to do. When I made my way down to the the valet area. My car wasn’t there nor was the valet desk. I went to the front desk where my car was, I am frustrated because I am late to my business meeting. So yes I was frustrated my car isn’t outside. The lady rudely responds that valet doesn’t open til 9am. I have to pay to have valet services with the hotel. She informs me then I should of parked at one of the parking garages around the area if I wanted the car earlier. Ummm excuse me I am the customer. I don’t mind parking the car myself the purpose of me paying the fee is so I didn’t have to go out in the cold to get the car myself. That is why I paid the 35/night fee. When I asked to speak to the manager Jennifer Ball informed me she was the manager. I asked for a pen and Mrs. Ball then threw a pen on the counter in front of me when I told her there is no need to throw the pen she informed she was not going to hand me a pen when COVID was going around. I am a nurse that works as a COVID nurse. The virus will live on a surface for up to 9 hours when not disinfected. So whether you hand the pen over or throw it, it should be immediately disinfected to prevent the spread of germs. Again my over all stay with the Magnolia was amazing. Mrs. Ball was my first encounter with a rude staff member.
