The Statler hotel is more like a resort. The best linens, updated and lovely bathrooms, amazing mattresses(!) and all three restaurants on the property are unique and delicious! Did I mention there's a rooftop too? You'll skip that line if you stay on the property. Most importantly, you will not find a finer staff in all of Dallas that makes you feel more pampered or special from the moment you step onto the property. If you want to a true getaway in the heart of beautiful downtown Dallas the historic Statler is a top choice!
Our overall experience was wonderful! We will definitely be back.... We had booked this weeks in advance as a post valentine staycation, but it was the first day after the awful winter weather snowstorm and the hotel was packed with people leaving and coming and going. Our "city view" room was not available, but the "pool view" was, so no big deal. We were given the option to wait or get in a room and we chose a different room. Ivan was very apologetic and accommodating! It was clear he was busy, maybe even overwhelmed a bit, but was so friendly and upbeat. Anyway we got to our room and it was great, very very clean and the bathrooms were so nice! The pool view was great and not noisy or loud at all. We went and had drinks at Primos, which were good and fresh. We tried the rooftop bar before dinner, but it was already packed and people were already drunk, so we decided to go get ready for our dinner reservation. After a dinner out, we tried to go have drinks somewhere, but the rooftop bar was elbow to elbow and unfortunately no one told us a reservation was required. Scout was packed as well with a line out the door and they asked us to leave Bourbon & Banter b/c they were at capacity. I would say that was our biggest complaint is that these places were so busy/packed, but only some were guests of the hotel and we were not informed that we needed a reservation to enjoy a cocktail. The bartender at B&B was nice and fixed us a drink we could take up to our room, though. The room was nice and quiet and nice amenities. We grabbed a coffee at Overeasy the next morning and explored around the hotel before leaving. Give the Valet plenty of time before leaving, i believe we waited half an hour for our car, but we also were leaving right at checkout. Overall we'd definitely be back. Ivan took great care of us and was very friendly/accommodating. Just be advised if you want to enjoy a night cap, make a reservation.…
I had been to the Statler before but never stayed there. We wanted to celebrate our anniversary this year in Dallas. We couldn’t ask any more from the valet to checking out. This was an awesome experience.
The Statler is an incredible hotel. The lobby is gorgeous, the rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are beautiful, and the beds are so soft and fluffy! Staff was helpful and friendly at every turn. While staying, we were able to try three of their on-property restaurants (Overeasy, Sfereco, and Primo's) and they were all great with excellent service. I only have one complaint about the hotel and that is the temperature of the pool (third floor pool). It was unpleasantly cold. We were looking forward to an afternoon by the pool, but it wasn't to be as the pool was way too cold. However, this hotel is everything a great hotel should be and is one of the best Curio/Hilton properties we’ve ever stayed at. So happy to have spent the weekend in Dallas at the Statler! Despite the problem with the pool, this hotel is everything a great hotel should be. So happy to have spent the weekend in Dallas at the Statler!…
Felt extremely welcomed at the hotel at check-in, and the room was clean and very comfortable. We ate at the mexican restaurant for dinner and Overeasy for lunch. Both were fantastic, with great food and service. We ended one evening at Bourbon & Banter, such a cool spot to enjoy their famous bourbon drink with the brulee top. Can't wait to get back to Dallas and stay another weekend.
