I feel like when you stay at a nice hotel it’s the little things that matter. The house car transportation was so nice. Driver Dave was exceptionally friendly and accommodating and the car was a very nice Mercedes SUV. The restaurant and bar serves excellent food and the service is fantastic. The bartender Jadey did a wonderful job even though I was obnoxiously on my phone while trying to order, she was super patient and friendly.

Hit the silver lining on having to redo plans for a rehearsal dinner in choosing the Grand Hall room at the Hall Arts Hotel-fresh, replete with art in a contemporary but warm setting that was perfect for welcoming appetizers with cocktails on the patio and a delicious seated dinner in the Hall. No yucky carpet or ugly furnishings here! We had a great sized room with an adjacent ground floor patio.
The coordinator knew to raise the curtains for a dramatic segue from patio to dining. We opted for the sea bass and beef short ribs and neither disappointed. The service was attentive and personal, which endeared the spot to our memory of a long awaited celebration.
We also visited the hotel restaurant, Ellie, for dinner prior to enjoy some food and wine sampling and promised to return for dinner next time we attended a concert at the nearby Mort Meyerson Symphony Center. Some of the wedding guests enjoyed staying at the hotel for convenience with its downtown location. From beginning to end a great experience for us in planning and providing for guests

Brand new & already seasoned for a marvelous getaway from the norm!! We stepped into the gorgeous Hall Arts Hotel and was immediately surrounded by staff welcoming us with open arms! Totally Texan friendly welcome but modern in every way. The rooms and bathroom are perfection— felt like sleeping in a dream with artwork touches everywhere. I even loved the crinkled chambray wallpaper in the washroom.😉 The highlight was eating at their new restaurant Ellie. They were extremely busy but found a way to accommodate us for dinner. We had the most delightful server we nicknamed Edward the Prodigy. He was genuinely warm & friendly— a dedicated world changer. My husband had the fabulous pork chop and I swear I saw a glimpse of a tear how delicious it was. I had the maple glaze salmon and told Edward it was probably the best I’ve ever had! Ever. We split dessert their now famous banana cream pudding pie. Everyone was SO friendly and treated us like family for the 2.5 hours we lavished over our meal and relaxed together. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks for making our romantic getaway REALLY perfect in every way!

Thank you so much for providing such wonderful detail in your review. We're so happy to learn that you had a positive experience in Ellie's and enjoyed the pork chop and salmon (it's my favorite too). This was a very interesting stay. I could tell that there was an attempt to train all the staff and that they had hired a bunch of bearded millenials to fit the image. But while the looked that part and memorized their lines hospitality was not natural. Here are some examples:
1. I was with a group at dinner and we had a set menu. I was on a limited diet due to prep for surgery and I asked to see the full menu. The server was clearly shocked that i would ask such a ting and told me that I could only order from the set menu. I had to tell him more firmly to bring me the full menu. He then objected that I would have to pay extra. I explained that I was the one paying for the whole meal of my 20 employees and that would not be a problem ( not that it should be anyway as no one from our group instructed the hotel that there could be no exceptions).
2. a simple beer order took over 25 minutes during dinner (for 1 beer).
3. Servers walking through our area had perfected the art of not making eye contact.
4. Rather than adding my dinner to the group bill they presented a separate check - which was a little clueless, but even worse there was no writing implement to add the check to my room. With no server nearby, had t search the restaurant to get a pen. That same error was repeated the next day in the bar. Where even with 3 servers, they were engaged in conversation with each other and it was tough to get a check and then I needed to summon a manger to get a pen.
5. The front desk staff insists on repeating their lengthy list of check in instructions, even if you have stayed in hotels more nights than they have been alive.
6. And by the way the elevator system sucks as well because it requires a card to get to your floor, rather than a card to get to any floor. So numerous times people would have to ride up and down for the system to recognize their floor when more than 2 people were riding due to the system's inability to quickly scan cards. A better system would be to use your key to get to ANY floor.

But rooms and bedding were fresh and nice. Food was good.

My family and I stayed here for a night while visiting the city. Upon our arrival the valet were very welcoming and very quick to offer helping us with our bags. While we did decline as our bags were small, the kind offer did not go unappreciated. Next the door man was a very warm and welcoming gentleman that had an air of kindness about him. It made me feel good coming into the hotel and my upcoming stay. The check in process was a breeze and stress-free with the front desk attendant being a bubbly and welcoming lady.

Now to the good part: the room. Oh my gosh the bed was probably the most comfortable thing I’ve slept on in a long time. The bathroom was so sleek and modern it just made the stay feel even more luxurious for a one night stay. Best believe I used every function in the shower to treat myself. As the rest of my family stayed in the conjoining room I was not fully alone but in a way I felt like I had my own little slice of paradise. The ambient lighting in the room made me so excited to relax and get in bed after the long day we had.

Leaving the hotel was just as easy as it was coming in. I hadn’t noticed from the night before but the lobby is absolutely stunning. While we did not stay for long I will tell you one thing my dear reader, I will be coming back.

Skry123, thank you staying at the Hall Arts hotel and we truly appreciate you leaving this review. No detail was spared when the room was designed and we find that these small touches make such a big difference in the overall experience. People can't seem to get enough of the beds; we hear it every day! Please visit us again when it gets a little bit warmer and enjoy Ellie's Restaurant and our roof top pool!

Sony is the gentleman who handled our booking, and he was beyond outstanding in service, empathy, willingness to see us completely satisfied in our 2 night stay here at this location. We had the opportunity to stay in the "Grand Finale Suite" which fit our wedding weekend perfect. We are both local from the city of Dallas and I say, my wife would agree with me, this was the best room and best hotel I've stayed in the location is easy to get to from either side of Dallas, next to great restaurants, tons of local art locations with areas for photography inside and outside. This location is a must stay and we will definitely be back!

The first impressions of the Hall Arts hotel were amazing, check in with Marvin was efficient, friendly and informative. The room was lovely, very bright and airy, with a king size bed, and a nice sized bathroom with lovely smelling toiletries, although the hand soap was missing upon check in and I had to go and get one from the housekeeping trolley.
There is also a tablet at the side of the bed, which wasn’t working and so I pulled out the bedside table to see if it was plugged in and discovered a used condom behind the cabinet. I went down to reception to advise them and get someone to take it away and also repair the tablet, which they did immediately and offered us a credit for food and drinks in Ellie’s which was very much appreciated.
The next day we went out all day and returned to the hotel late in the evening. Housekeeping had been and made the bed, replaced the towels, taken the trash etc.. but had not removed the dirty coffee cups or replaced the coffee, they had also taken the hand soap which had only been opened the previous day and not replaced it, and also did not leave a bath mat.
I went to reception again to advise and the guy on reception gave me all the required items.
As we had received the credit for Ellie’s we decided to use it for brunch on Saturday morning, the food was ok, slightly overpriced for the amount ( don’t get the bacon sampler) but as we had a credit it didn’t bother us too much, what did annoy me was that I was given a dirty glass with lipstick on and also my partner was given a cracked plate in a restaurant that wasn’t very busy.
Don’t get me wrong this hotel is very nice, and I would give it a second chance, but being all perfect on first impressions but not paying attention to the finer details is what resulted in my score.
I was told when I reported the condom that this was not the norm for the Hall Arts Hotel, but in my experience the little details get missed here.

The management must make a commission based on room rates. They were NOT receptive to upgrading my room for the internet price when I realized I booked a room without a bathtub accidentally. My Amex even called them (it was their blunder). Nope. No love!

I stayed at the Hall Arts recently and was not impressed. It is a nice new building in a very good location in Dallas. But the experience was not that great.

There were a few things that really bothered me. Firstly, not all of the lights worked in the room. I was told by management that I should just use the working lights and to deal with it because the technology controlling the lights in the room were not totally functional. I don’t know of other $400/night hotels that would take this approach with guests.

Secondly, the hotel charges $4 for coffee in their lobby in the morning. That is completely tacky. If you go to a Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Mandarin Oriental or the nearby Crescent Court or Mansion at Turtle Creak, coffee is always complementary.

The hotel and the rooms themselves were very spartan and sterile. The hotel rooms are very new and still have a faint air of something, perhaps it’s new paint. But they really could use some better ventilation.

On the positive side the beds are extremely comfortable and the location is very good. But there are much better options elsewhere.

My wife & I just stayed here for our anniversary. We bought a "package" that was to include valet & a breakfast at the restaurant and a bigger room. We were placed in a small room & then startled awake at 6am by jack hammering & grinding and hammering that was right next to our room. We called the front desk & were assured the construction would stop but it never did. Management then moved us to another small room & the mini fridge didn't work. We called front desk & they said they would send somebody up to fix it but they never came. Management sent us a cheese tray but wouldn't discount our bill & they charged is for valet and we got no breakfast vouchers! Very unprofessional management never called us back as promised. For this expensive price we expected & deserved alot more. Since they just opened in December 19 maybe give them another 5 yrs to work out the kinks before staying here.
