The Hilton Anatole hotel garners appreciation for its amenities like the waterpark and breakfast buffet, but guests have pointed out the need for better dining options and have criticized the additional fees. While the location is often lauded for its convenience, many travelers express disappointment with dated and sometimes unclean rooms, alongside noise issues. Service experiences vary greatly, with commendations for staff professionalism counterbalanced by reports of slow and disorganized service. Additionally, the value proposition is questioned due to high costs for various services, despite the admired artistic atmosphere and ongoing renovations.

Our flight was delayed and caused a reservation issue. Jordan at the front desk was amazing and fixed it all without issue. Made our day better. Thank you! Rooms were clean and pool was great. Definitely recommend. It’s a huge hotel so get ready to walk.

We stayed in the spacious tower near the conference. The room were large and the amenities were great. Crabtree and Evelyn shampoo etc.
The gym and spa were fabulous. Aside from ample free weights and a large assortment of weight machines, there were classes and medicine balls, hands weight, ellipticals, treads, bikes, two indoor pools—one with Olympic sized lanes. etc. The women’s locker room had a steam room and hot tub with towels and everything a person could need from deodorant to hair gel to lighted make up mirrors to hot rollers. They also had full spa services.
The food was spectacular. The conference had a country band Friday night, a seafood/raw bar to die for (see the pic), Texas BBQ brisket, fajitas, sushi, an Asian station, a beer garden, a Tequila bar. It was truly that good. The rubber chicken banquet dinner was anything but rubber. Sea bass and fillet. The nonstop coffee and Diet Coke and snacks for the conference was made it the best conference I ever attended in regards to food. Even the sweet pea humus was memorable.
The property also has a water park. The outdoor pool was heated and so was the hot tub in February.
Finally, Louis the concierge was so helpful. He made reservations for us at a non-chain Texas style steak house that was a cheap Uber away. We were able to leave our bags, have a great lunch, walk around the cute shops and go to a museum before catching an evening flight. He also helped with the golf course for the hubs while I attended the conference.

We had a great weekend. Like the title suggests, we checked in and never left the hotel for 48 hours. The water park is perfect for kids under the age of 10 or so. It’s small (2 slides, kiddie water playground, 2 small pools, hot tub, small baby play area, lazy river). We spent about 10 hours there over 2 days with two 5 year olds and they were able to do everything in the park. Get there early if you want a good pool side chair. The cabanas and loungers available to rent are not worth the money IMO and arent needed to have a good time. The water park offers towels but they ran out the last day we were there so take your own as a back up. The rooms come with tickets to the water park, which are on a very small piece of cardstock paper. Be prepared to keep up with that and keep it dry. That was a little inconvenient. In a world where everything is digital, Hilton could come up with a better way for guests to keep up with water park tickets. The restaurants are mediocre. Nothing great but it was edible and more convenient than leaving the premises to go eat. We packed our own breakfast and skipped the $24 breakfast buffet. The water park does have water stations of cold water to refill water bottles. You are allowed to take in empty water containers into the park but no other food or drinks are allowed. However you can come and go from the park and they have a pricey, but convenient bar and restaurant at the park.

Room was large and comfortable , there definitely was a staffing issue and was told by an employee there is normally 450 employees but at this time there are only 210 employees. I understand there is an issue currently with companies finding people to work but if you are short staff then cut back on the number of occupied rooms you book.
There is basically minimal room service available, if you wanted your room cleaned daily you had to request it, There is basically no room service due to lack of staff, clean towels were made available if you called and requested them.
The Morning breakfast was ok at the Terrace but again noticed problems such as running out items frequently on the tables. Staff there were working hard but again if not enough people to work cut back on the occupancy being booked. we actually noticed employees running trying their best to keep up it just wasn't enough.
We booked a total of 3 rooms for our family stay here. The 2 rooms in the Tower were available when we arrived. The 3rd room which was a large suite in the Atrium that was purposely booked for a Saturday July 3rd arrival was never made available and the 0ne family that booked the Suite was moved to a smaller room that was not adequate for their needs. We were told the previous customer was not vacating the room which I don't know what to believe.
Parking is available but expensive at $25/day for self parking. The Hotel charges a resort fee of $27/day for the use of the Waterpark on site, Waterpark is decent but way overcrowded and well above the posted occupancy for the pool. There was also allot of trash left laying around and only noticed it being picked up at the end of the day as they were closing. There was never enough chairs or lounge chairs available for people only chairs available in the afternoon were the ones you had to reserve and pay an absurd amount of money to use.

Been to many Hilton Hotels and Resorts over the years but this is by far the most expensive and most disappointing.

Based on the Hotels issues we were disappointed and will not be going back. there are many other hotels and resorts in the Dallas area to choose from for future family weekends.

I came here a little while back for a girls’ trip, but this time I brought my family.
It was great to get to take a trip that was close to home, but like we were on vacation. Jade Waters is so much fun and I could lay in the lazy river all day!

Our deluxe tower room (1583) was clean and spacious and had a great view of the water park. I was disappointed that there were no dining options due to COVID and I’m sure low guest count in the hotel during the week, but thankfully there is food available at Jade Waters and several restaurants nearby.

Masks are required to be worn inside of the hotel and there are hand sanitizer stations located throughout the common spaces. The staff was friendly and helpful.

This hotel is a great option for a couples trip or girls’ trip because there is an adults-only pool at Jade Waters complete with a swim up bar. It’s also a great choice for families! You can’t go wrong!

For the last 4 years my best friend and I have brought our kids and enjoyed a staycation at the Anatole. This year has been a complete disappointment. At check-in which we didn’t even arrive until 4 PM and only one of our 2 rooms was ready. They said they would send me a message when our second room was ready. We didn’t receive a message and had to follow up again and were finally able to get into our second room after 7 pm. When I asked about our breakfast options I was told that they no longer have the executive lounge and that we would receive a $12 credit per day for each room. The breakfast is $22 and there was no other breakfast option offered to us. So they no longer cover the cost of breakfast and only credit you for half the price of the breakfast for one person. The only rooms they had available for us were in the Atrium but they explained that they don’t have luggage carts over there. We could drop our luggage at the towers and they could bring it over to the Atrium. They also don’t mention that they have closed off the drop off circle at the Atrium side. So when the Uber driver spent 8 minutes trying to locate the correct area of the hotel because the Atrium area was barricaded off. Then last night as we get to shower we realize that they only left 2 towels and I hand towel in each room though we registered for 3 in each room. In addition to this the air also doesn’t work in the atrium hallways so be prepared to sweat when you walk to or back from your room. While I realize that every company out there has staffing challenges this has been a complete disappointment. The disregard for Diamond membership is something that I have not ever experienced at a Hilton brand hotel. I do hope that the hotel will listen to the feedback. Last summer we had 3 different staycations here but this year we will be one and done. And likely to not return next year. We have many other options in the DFW area including The Gaylord and Great Wolf Lodge that have provided far superior experiences this year without even having loyalty status. If the hotel’s intent is to move away from their previous customer service, family friendly ways then it’s certainly knocking it out of the park. If you are looking for an enjoyable experience then you should probably spend your dollars elsewhere.

We were here for a tournament and the location was good. It felt dirty when we pulled up. Trash not picked up. Cigarette butts all over the entry way. Sooo gross. I have a service dog and that’s the entrance I have to use. Lots of the amenities were closed due to Covid. There is a $25 amenities fee if you want to use the pool, get wifi and a piece of fruit for breakfast. Parking is $22 per night. They will only valet your luggage and the carts are off limits to guests so get your tips ready.

Pros:
Excellent spaces for visiting in groups
Grassy areas to walk
Felt safe since it’s such a large property (45 acres)
Text service to get assistance from desk staff. Loved that!
Offered late check out.
Plenty of elevators for such a large hotel.

Cons:
It’s old. The decor is early 1980s.
Some rooms didn’t have hot water.
Smells kinda funny.
Need small legs to close the bathroom door if sitting on toilet.
Water was dripping from the ceiling with no buckets...I would say maintenance is low on the list.
Weird parking lot.

The outside is deceiving. It looks Majestic but she’s old and tired. I would still probably stay there again if it was a volleyball preferred vendor hotel. But it would not be my first choice if we returned on a personal trip to Dallas. Too many other newer properties in better condition to choose from.

I have written many reviews to help restaurants, hotels, attractions etc. and am a business owner and understand how powerful they can be so I have NEVER written a review unless it was a 5 star. We are all desperate for customers and I would never want to tarnish a reputation, however, the experience we had this weekend needs a review so other Diamond or Gold loyal Hilton guests will be warned.
1. NO Late Checkout. We have stayed many times at the Anatole and in the past have found staff and hotel accommodating for diamond members. (I can understand no late checkout if the hotel was getting ready to be full that night). I checked and the hotel was NOT full for the night we were leaving so we asked for late checkout. (I just checked the website and rooms are definitely available and it is 7:30 pm). We simply wanted to stay til 1. When we called the front desk to ask for late check out they said NO! Oh my...rarely do we play the “diamond card” but we were stunned and mentioned we were diamond members and are typically accommodated at other Hiltons. She again said NO but offered to let us talk to her supervisor who also said NO. No explanation.
2. Diamond Members can now eat breakfast for $11.00 (1/2 price of $22 for breakfast buffet) or have cereal, fruit and pastries for free in café downstairs.
3. Took away the executive lounge (which is why we chose to stay there instead of Omni where our convention was).
4. Asked to speak to a manager when we first arrived when we found out they closed the lounge and to find out who I should express my concern to. No one was available, however the assistant to the manager (they just transferred me to a manager...I’m sure it was not the general manager) took my phone number and said she would have someone call!
No one ever called....which is no big deal really just wanted to mention it.
This hotel caters to conventions so I guess that’s why they do not feel a need to have returning “Hilton” individuals.
I apologize to the Hotel for writing this, however, hopefully it will save you more negative reviews from dissatisfied Gold and Diamond members after their stunned and negative experience. Just wanted to give them an FYI!

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry you didn't completely enjoy your stay at the Hilton Anatole. I understand your frustrations with the lounge being closed. We took away our executive lounge in order to enhance our guest experience at our breakfast area. Now our Diamond/Gold members have more options to choose from, more seating is available, and also more servers are available to assist at the restaurant. Also, as a substitute for the breakfast in the morning, you can choose any Grande specialty coffee and a breakfast item from counter offer as a replacement. None the less, we definitely don't want to lose your loyalty with us. If you would please contact me at your earliest convenience. I'd love the chance to make things right for you. Thank you.

This is a lovely, huge, understaffed property that does not deliver on the Hilton promise. The limited front line staff staff is friendly and professional, But they cannot make up for management I'm shortcomings. In room literature says to arrange housekeeping with the front desk, who cannot arrange housekeeping. Not even a room refresh. So, same service as a motel 6, But of course not at motel 6 prices. One of two front desks is open, at opposite ends of the hotel, which are extremely distant, and when I found one close, I had to ask a hotel guess where to find the other. From one end of the property at the closed station to the other end, I did not encounter a single staff member. I was able to check in, and from there, you're pretty much on your own. They're good at returning messages through the app, but again, all they can do is be friendly and try, but they have nothing to deliver. The restaurants are providing good service and good food, so stop by for a meal, but if you want a Hilton steak, try a different Hilton. Until this one can improve, there are other hotels in the vicinity to try. And at this point, in late June they've had more than a year to adjust to the limitations of the pandemic, and it's time to deliver. At least bring me a coffee service, you provided me enough for one day, I'm on day two of three, I have none, but apparently can't get any. I'll survive, but again, is what I wanted was a no-cross hotel, I would check into one and pay accordingly.

We went as a family of 6 for one last end of summer vacation. Check in was fairly easy and had no issues there.

We came in on a Thursday and stayed until Saturday. The hotel got very busy Friday night into Saturday as was expected.

We went to Jade Waters on Friday and it was easy to get into and not very crowded. Had a great time there and ate lunch. Biggest issue there is we were told we had a $50 room credit that could be used for lunch there. Turns out, that is not true so be careful. Saturday Jade Waters was extremely over crowded and it was the worst experience we had staying. There were kids kicked out for yelling and berating other children, Nobody seemed to be interested in making sure rules were being followed, etc. Just a miserable time. I will say, though If you go, go on a weekday if possible. The difference between Friday and Saturday was night and day.

Not really any other issues during the stay.

However, after the stay is where we had our issue. We were told our stay would be X amount including taxes and fees. However, we were charged over $200 more than we were told and nobody can give us an answer why. We expected the resort fee, etc. but to overcharge by $200 when you told us it would be X amount is pretty shady. Then we we asked a "manager" about it and wanted to know why we were overcharged, our messages were ignored and nobody ever got back to us. My deal is if you can explain why we were overcharged, then great, we'll look at it. But when you refuse to answer that question then ignore any communication, it seems like it was done intentionally.

Overall, if we want to stay in Dallas again, we will find somewhere else. My advice to any manager on duty is to talk to your patrons, don't talk at them.
