I won't disagree with the other reviews; this Fort Hancock Motel is old, somewhat decrepit/in need of repair and does not have all the amenities of comparably priced hotels. However, as Kathleen S. has stated it is a "Port in a storm", especially if one has arrived by bicycle. Specifically, me; I regularly pedal this way as it is a...

On December 26 2015 we were traveling home and were caught in a severe sleet/snow storm and made the decision to get off the road sooner than planned. We pulled into the closest motel, the Ft. Hancock motel right off the I 10. It was thought that any port in a storm would be better than nothing. I can only...

This is a very old hotel and not kept up. Train tracks are nearby and trains go by often all hours of the day. Shower had mold and toilet had rust stains. Air conditioning is an old wall unit that was very loud.

This is a reasonable motel. There are no normal facilities such as coffee, fridge and it is over priced. It is however the only place in town so a cyclist going east really has no option. Its clean The bathroom taps don't operate normally or even consistently There is a small restaurant opposite which stays open until 9pm and is...

For what this Motel offers it is over priced. No breakfast, no coffee, no fridge, no micro wave. What you do get for your $55, is a Queen bed with clean sheets, good shower, clean towels, TV and a work desk. The wi-fi is average, the carpets are old and wavy (watch your step). The bathroom is clean if you...

As a cyclist you are dictated by distance. So travelling from Van Horne to El Paso this seemed a good half way point which is logical. This place is way overpriced for what you get which is nothing. No coffee in room, no breakfast, with a tired look. The rooms need redecorating as wallpaper hanging off, carpets dirty and generally not...

Should have stayed in El Paso or continued driving to Ft. Stockton. Every time we take the long trip to Texas we pass by this little motel on the side of the road and being dead tired we thought we would try it. What a mistake! I'd bet the rooms haven't been updated since the 1970's. The shower, if you...
