Detailed Reviews
Our one night stay was a fabulous experience…. and too short!
It started with a highly professional, friendly and efficient check in and this service was continuous throughout the entire hotel. We were impressed with the tremendous curated detail in every corner throughout The Bowie and the Fabulous well selected artwork on the walls! All a class in itself! Our room with a balcony was elegantly furnished, the bedding extremely comfortable, zero sound of the air conditioner, the detailed lighting all dimmable and we appreciated the functionality of the sliding doors leading into the bathroom.
Unfortunately, with our short stay, we were not able to use the pool area, did spent a few minutes though in one of my favorite Dedon Chairs!!
We will be back next month with more time!

Every surface, fixture, and interaction was excellence. The only reason that I lowered the rating of their Value and Location is because this hotel is rather expensive and I don’t know that you could consider it a great value. However, if quality food, drinks, amenities, and finishes are important to you and you are willing to spend a little extra money for that experience, I would HIGHLY recommend the Bowie House! Thoroughly impressive property.

We booked a room at the Auberge for three nights, including Thanksgiving. It was fantastic. In a few words I can say: Don't miss this experience. First off, you drive up and are greeted by friendly people who escort you into the property. The decor/ambiance are sensational. Customer service is wonderful; drinks are really good. As someone who cares about details, every one is nicely done. The bar has many areas to sit on comfy-cozy couches and chairs and there are multiple fireplaces, The Mulberry Room is well-appointed; the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Our hotel room was terrific. We walked into the room and were pleasantly surprised by how large it was, and every little detail from the artwork, bed, fur comforter, leather goods, the sink area, the shower etc It was amazing. In most hotels, I have to put a towel down so I don't slip. Not here. The tile was perfect. The steamer in the room was great to use as well. The Bowie House art work and artisan artifacts are just beautiful. What I really liked was the way the staff treated us, from the moment we arrived until it was time for us to go. The food and service are impeccable. Dinner was wonderful and the breakfast just as good. Be sure to check out the coffee bar. I particularly loved the game room. We had grandchildren with us and they loved playing pool and shuffleboard on the table with the discs and sawdust; the checkers tables were awesome, as was the casino-legit roulette table. Bowie House is in a great location, right in the art district. It is a ane of a kind experience. Don't miss it.

My wife and I stayed at Bowie House this past weekend and we were extremely disappointed. Considering the cost, pictures and reviews we had high hopes of an enjoyable weekend.
The bad:
Booking with Amex we were confirmed a 4pm late checkout which at check in they verbally confirmed and provided a paper listing 4pm late checkout guaranteed. The morning of our departure we received three housekeeping knocks which we politely declined and a fourth knock at noon, other than housekeeping, which I asked through the door three times what is needed with no reply- a min later the door opened while my wife was changing with demands that we were past checkout (its just after noon at this point) and to call the front desk immediately. The front desk was very polite and apologetic about their error and for entering my room- plus I received an apology from the manager which was appreciated.
The not expected:
Small shower even after being upgraded
Poor quality sheets and quite loud when moving around
Ice can only be delivered by room service
Tiny trashcans
No TV remote
Hotel Bar on Saturday at 4pm was extremely slow with little focus on serving-a few others at the bar shared my dissatisfaction
The hotel art is strange and doesn't fit the FW vibe
Room was nice but it didn't align with the cost
The Good:
Valet and Check in was professional and expedient
Front desk was always helpful and courteous
Room service was great
Breakfast was incredible
Drinks were good
The restaurant Bricks and Horses was good
Having stayed at every top rated hotel in FW, Bowie house was extremely disappointing. Two weekends ago we stayed at Hotel Drover and they exceeded every expectation.

I have never stayed at a resort quite like this one. It was eye candy. Everything I looked there was something special, unique, colorful and interesting. Not stone was left unturned down to the cool water cans in the room. The art work was like staying in a museum but with so much comfort. Every person at the hotel went above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. There is not one thing I would change. I highly, highly recommend staying at this beautiful,l one-of-a-kind hotel. Bonus that the StockYard is not too far away.

The Bowie Hotel is indeed a beautifully decorated, clean hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. The location is a bit lacking. However, I was taken aback by their practice of charging for concierge services. Most concerning was the fact that it was not disclosed to us. I am very well traveled and have stayed at many 5 star hotels. Never have I been charged for concierge services. In this case, we asked for assistance with booking horseback riding. The cost was $75 per person. The concierge charged us a 20% fee and neglected to tell us a gratuity was included. We paid and gave a $40 tip. What would have cost $150 was over $200 for the pleasure of having the concierge book for us. The cost is not the issue, it is the total lack of transparency. Just to be sure, I reached out to the Drover Hotel. They told me the only fee for concierge services is a “smile on our guest face”! Guess where we will stay next time???

From hello to goodbye, everyone was very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The beds were luxurious and comfortable. The shower was perfect water pressure and scent of the amenities were not overbearing. Earthy and soft. I’ve experienced the bar atmosphere before I experienced the my stay, and I must say it was a lively atmosphere worth the people watching and great fashion. Overall if you’re looking to getaway, or in my case a great staycation, or just a good night out. Bowie hotel is a choice that you won’t regret.

My stay was exceptional, exceeding my expectations based on the reviews. The valet was professional and courteous, and Athlene was a gem from the moment I walked in. Gaylord served the absolute best chips and salsa. The room was clean, cozy, and perfectly adorned to evoke the deepest parts of the classic West. The massage was fantastic, and the staff were superb. Although there was some pool noise, it’s worth mentioning that the pool closes at 8 PM, allowing guests to enjoy it during the day. The hotel's solid construction effectively canceled out the outside noise. Bricks and Horses is a solid 10/10. The mid-day room refresh was an amazing surprise, complete with bottles of water, sweet notes, candy, and more. The art – just wow! I will not only recommend this place, but I will definitely be back!!

We had a very nice stay at the Bowie House. The rooms are quiet and clean, beds and sheets are comfy, shower is wonderful! The room had amazing blackout curtains that let us enjoy sleeping in. The staff were hit or miss- some were super friendly and helpful and others were surprisingly rude. The billet room is fun with pool and shuffleboard. The pool is small but nice, but we were not impressed with the pool food menu options. Parking is ridiculous as there is only valet and they charge like they are downtown. They were actively replacing lots of the plants around the outdoor portions of the restaurant- it needed some upkeep so I’m sure that will be an improvement. I’d give it a 9/10, but they get 5 stars because it rounds up.

My husband and I live in the area and decided to do an overnight stay at the Bowie House to celebrate our anniversary. We are so happy that we chose Bowie House for this special stay. It was a perfect experience from arrival to departure. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special every moment of our stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the amenities are great. I have multiple food allergies and we ate dinner in the restaurant, had room service for breakfast and received champagne and allergy friendly treats upon arrival. The dining staff verified my allergies and made sure all of my food was flavorful and safe. The spa was gorgeous and the service was also top notch. I really don't think this review is doing justice to how amazing the property and service are so if you are considering a stay here just book it; you won't regret it.

There was a small one in the beautiful bar cabinet of my room, but I didn’t open it or use it. So, I don’t know if it had one of those weight & movement detection systems in it (where it’s pre-stocked and you get charged for removing or moving items inside) or if it was simply a “regular” empty you-stock fridge.
