This was our first time staying at the Dietzel Motel, and we were not disappointed! My husband and I love to stay in what we call "Retro Lodging" (maybe because it reminds us of the good old days lol!) Anyway, the Dietzel was perfect - very nice shower, the room had everything we could ask for (mini fridge, microwave, etc)...

This little motel was great for our last minute trip. The place is outdated but it was completely clean, everything was in working order, not a cobweb anywhere. There was a small apartment sized fridge and a microwave in the room...both worked great! Both ladies at check in and check out were very helpful and friendly. It's not fancy, but...

Third stay here, good price, clean room, and a great place to crash after a day of Tasting! We brought our little dog and he was welcomed with open arms. Cant beat the service or the price. The front desk is always helpful. Make sure to grab a coffee in the AM.

We have enjoyed staying here twice. The employees treat you like family. This is where we will always stay when we visit Fredericksburg. We are smokers, but we never smoke inside. They have nice covered seating areas outside. A nice little gazebo for gatherings. A pool for the kids, but us old folks don't use.

This is an outdated motel, but very clean and safe. Very close to the main shopping strip. Good a/c and heat and a nice shower. Also, nice beds. I would stay here again since it's a decent place for a budget motel in a popular weekend spot.

I recently stayed at the Dietzel for the first time in years and was happy to see it was as nice as ever. This place isn't fancy, but if you're looking for a clean, safe, quiet budget motel where you can get a good night's sleep, it fills the bill. Good cable TV, decent wi-fi and a nice peaceful view...

Several friends and I have stayed at this dated and modest motel 4 times prior to this last weekend. We all were very disappointed in the quality since new ownership has taken over. There was no water pressure in our shower. When we reported it the lady said, " oh yes....that's right". She did offer to move us to another...

I will be staying at the Dietzel this Friday after golf at Ladybird, as I have done for many years. It has two distinct advantages. It is very quiet, on the edge of town, with large, comfortable rooms and friendly owners. It is also next to Friedhelm's, the best restaurant in town, and we have tried them all.

I read many reviews before booking this hotel. It surely gave me the feeling of back to the history: 50 years ago. However the room was clean, sheets were clean, and AC was strong. The hotel was very quite as well. I was also told they are pets friendly so next time I can bring my dog.

I have always loved this place, and I've been staying here for years when I'm in Fredericksburg. With that in mind, I was highly disappointed to learn that the family who had owned and managed it for decades had sold the property. Even so, my wife and I decided to give it a shot with the new owners. I'm glad...
