We are repeat clients, so we had a certain level of expectations that had been set from our previous stay. That did not get met as it seemed the management has rested on their initial success to coast. The mattress was literally painful to sleep on, and we were there for three nights. Everything else was OK. The staff was...

Loved the cabin! Only thing we might suggest is a bathmat for tub (was slick), cups for bathroom and a little more light in kitchen area. The restaurant was fabulous! Great food and service! We enjoyed sitting on the porch every night and the wonderful hot breakfast, too!

Very nice. Great breakfast, great food at restaurant. Would come back. Hwy traffic behind my cabin wasn't too bad. We brought a fan just in case but it wasn't bad either way. Barely noticed it. Thanks for the attentions!

We’re so happy to hear you had a nice stay with us and are glad to hear you’ll be back! We do provide ambient sound machines in each cabin in the event that any slight street noise makes its way through our lush landscaping into our cozy abodes.

That’s quite a compliment in the state of Texas: the best steak you’ve ever had in your life! We’ll take it. As you mentioned, Cotton Gin Village is the perfect romantic and relaxing getaway for couples. Thanks for staying with us. And now, if you’ll excuse us, we have to head over to the Guadalupe to take a peek at...

We came for our anniversary and really enjoyed the stay. Daily breakfast delivered to our cabin as well as a gourmet restaurant on the property made meals easy and delicious. Our cabin met all our needs and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

We’re so glad to hear that all of your needs were met. Our guests do love having our fresh, hot breakfast with tempting, housemade pastries delivered right to their cabin door each morning. And, like you, they also appreciate the convenience of having our gourmet restaurant, Cabernet Grill, just steps away from their cabins. Happy anniversary! Thank you for spending...

A very nice get away for a couple of nights. Very relaxing and romantic. Convenient to downtown as well as for visiting multiple wineries. Nothing fancy but definitely relaxing. Great breakfast served hot to your door every morning. Restaraunt on site is a nice convenience also.

The individual cabins are a throwback to early Texas, but with all conveniences one might find in a new hotel. Very comfortable and a nice hot breakfast. Biggest drawback is the close proximity to Hwy 16. Going-to-work traffic on Monday morning was noisy. While B&B provides a 'white noise' machine, we were glad we had the app on our phones....

We’re happy you decided to celebrate your special occasion with us and that you enjoyed your stay (and hot breakfast delivered to your cabin!). We are sorry to hear that you experienced the sound of some traffic during your stay. Our 1800s cabins were constructed to prevent most noise with 10-inch thick exterior logs designed specifically for this purpose and...

Cotton Gin Village is a collection of authentic, restored and modernized log cabins from the Texas countryside just outside Fredericksburg. The cabins are arranged around a nice central courtyard that has fountains, Koi ponds and fire pits. The cabins are carefully decorated in rustic style with actual antiques, big rock fireplaces and relaxing porches to hang out on. The breakfast...

We strive to provide our guests with “uber romantic” getaways, so it’s satisfying to learn we met your expectations! Our hand-delivered hot breakfast picnic baskets are a favorite of our guests. So happy to hear you enjoyed yours. Our 1800’s log cabins are constructed to reduce most noise, and we also provide sound machines for light sleepers. Thank you for...

My wife and I spent our 22nd anniversary with Ross Burtwell and his WONDERFUL Cotton Gin Village and Cabernet Grill. Fall back in time in a wonderful 1800's cabin, updated with all the modern conveniences. After full days of shopping, wine tasting, and a terrific meal at the Cabernet greill, we fell asleep in front of the cozy wood-burning fireplace....

We enjoyed the rustic appearance of the cabins, but loved the up to date facilities. The morning breakfast was delivered, hot and delicious both days we were there. We have a Keurig coffee maker at home , so we're delighted to have that. We look forward to our next trip to Fredericksburg to again stay at the Cotton Gin Village!

“Replace the mattresses at least annually, and the management needs to be more engaged. There needs to be more attention to detail and certainly more daily interaction, not waiting for a survey to find out your client is having a terrible nights sleep.”
