It was hard to choose between 3 and 4 for this hotel. The hotel and grounds are well maintained and very pleasant. My room was not cleaned very well. The bathroom mirror has many water/soap/toothpaste splashes that were never cleaned. Day one there were sequins on the floor, so probably the room wasn't vacuumed well. The internet went out several times during my stay. The front desk was only manned sporadically. There was a bell to call for help, but it wasn't reliable. Having said all of that, my room was spacious, though a bit dark. Lights worked. The walls aren't well insulated as I could hear all walking above me (I was on the ground floor), and I could hear my neighbors alarm in the morning. There were great places to walk/play with your dog. It would have been nice if the trash receptacles were emptied more often. There was no ice on the ground floor, so you had to take the elevator to the second floor if you wanted ice. This hotel has the potential to be a 4 or 5. I look forward to visiting again.

There aren’t a lot of hotel options in town. We picked this hotel, partly due to the cost, but because we were traveling with our two grandkids (2 & 4) and we knew it could be rainy and cool outside, we also wanted a place with an indoor pool to keep them busy. So the hotel fit that bill. We booked an executive suite, which was great, size wise. Large bedroom, good sized living room, with sink, fridge, and microwave. The bathroom was also a good size. Unfortunately the room did have a musty, dirty smell, not strong, but it was noticeable, and the furniture had some stains. The pool was heavily chlorinated, which I realize is not uncommon.

So while the place was “meh”, decent for the price, the employees were outstanding. Everyone we encountered was very kind and helpful, and not at all put off by our questions or requests.

If you like firm beds then this would be a good hotel for you. They were a little too firm for our liking. Pool water was pretty chilly and hot tub was even colder, not sure what was wrong with it and they didn’t have any signage that it was out of order. Breakfast had a decent variety with several hot options but could use a larger seating area. In room mini fridge was nice sized, larger than some other hotel fridges.

The room reserved ( double-bed) was apparently given away to another party before my arrival with my reservation in hand for the double-bed room. All remaining rooms were king rooms. I was suspicious after having received a call earlier in the evening asking if I was still planning on needing a room just hours after reserving the double-bed room online. Too many other choices of hotels in the nearby area to pay for this kind of potential choice of profit over a promise. The cot provided did not make up for a bed despite a $33 discounted rate that took a lot of my time and energy to obtain on a midnight arrival I would have otherwise liked to have spent relaxing in a bed and not on a cot. Very disappointing but valuable lesson learned to choose wisely.

It looked like the place had not been cleaned in months. Extremely unsanitary conditions.Stained sheets and mattress, dirt and grime everywhere, bug filled lamps, water faucet will not shut off. Towels are stained yellow, black and brown. Moldy shower curtain. There was a used soap with hair and what appeared to be period fluids from another guest. We took the soap to reception and showed them. The following days the period-like fluid along with hair remained in the shower plate. Nightstand and dresser handles are sticky, fridge smells very bad, there are greasy fingerprints everywhere. Room was not clean in a daily basis, pink/reddish stain in soap plate that we found when we arrived was still there the following day. I accidentally dropped a pill, it was still there the following day, suggesting it did not get vacuumed. A bag with take out has been in the hallway for days creating a rotten smell. We called the front desk to ask for clean towels and they asked for dirty towels as proof, which we did take to them along with the hairy soap that had been left there. Housekeeper did not leave more toiletries as we used the previous ones, no toilet paper, no shampoo, no conditioner. Will definitely not be staying here again. Incredibly unsanitary conditions. The website stated that they had implemented enhanced cleaning protocols due to COVID, can’t even imagine what we’re the cleaning protocols before.

We usually really like staying at La Quinta but this stay was disappointing.

First the positives:
The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The hotel was overall clean. The bedding was nice and comfortable. They were able to provide us with a complimentary crib for our toddler.

The negatives:
The hotel was undergoing some renovations and there was caution tape blocking the entrance so we had to park further out and walk up. Upon checking in the front desk had to “warn” us that the pool was a little green and foggy, but clean. The pool was a main reason We picked the hotel so we went. It was certainly not aesthetically pleasing, but ok.
The bathroom has not ventilation so it gets extremely hot and humid; you can’t take a shower without the door open. Some of the lights were burned out so it was too dark for me to do my make up in there. The walls are extremely thin. I could hear our neighbors just walking across the room.

The biggest disappointment was breakfast. Part of the reason we choose La Quinta is that they have wonderful breakfasts... usually. Now I understand COVID restrictions, but this had nothing to do with COVID. This was using Covid as an excuse to cut their costs. All the same interactions still happened, but without the benefit of a good breakfast. There was no continental breakfast. We were each handed a plate of terrible cold eggs, a piece of reheated frozen sausage and a biscuit (no gravy or jelly available. Just dry) There was no fruit, no oatmeal, no waffles/toast/bagel etc. Now if this had been communicated at booking or even at check in, it would have been ok. But we watched family after family walk in just like we had, look around confused, have to ask where the food is, and be handed a plate that honestly looked like prison food. We had to go buy breakfast somewhere else.

While not the Four Seasons, this hotel was very clean in the common areas and sufficiently clean in the rooms. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean. No ice on the third floor, sadly. The microwave worked, the fridge worked. The room was cleaned each day. The breakfast was standard LaQuinta fare, served a little early which is especially nice. Delivery options for food are limited, so either plan to eat out or bring your own. There is a small grocery story just up the road. I would stay there again. There are adequate grassy areas for walking your pups, and most people were respectful. There isn't great lighting at night so hard to clean up after your dog.

The place is a dump! We have two rooms with adjoining doors. First room: lamps don’t work, air conditioning doesn’t work. They tried fixing it until 9:30pm last night and just gave up and told us we could move at 9:45pm. We had just come in from the freezing cold, unsafe pool and they want us to move both of our rooms!?! Second room: remotes didn’t work so we had to call for them to be re-programmed, the TV’s are horrible. Shower heads are all clogged up and the beds and pillows are HORRIBLE!! Toilets barely flush!🥺Now for the breakfast🤮 nothing but eggs, bacon, biscuits and green gravy! No cereal, fruit or toast. So we we walked across the street to Dollar General and bought milk and cereal. Also, the noise and people running up and down the halls and stomping all night from upstairs was ridicules. No sleep for us needless to say!! Horrible experience. 😡

The pull out couch has food in it, rice stuck in the sink, crumbs all over refrigerator. The toilet wouldn’t flush well and sink was clogged. The front desk staff was very friendly and check in was easy. Breakfast was also good for a free breakfast.

We checked into this hotel on August 2, with our 2 grand children. The room was really not ready for occupants…while it had 4 towels and hand towels, it was missing all 4 wash cloths and no shower curtain and rings (picture below)!! Additionally, there were no facial tissues and the “no slip” after market coating on the bath tub was flaking off with large sheets missing. We too hot and tired from the 100+ degree day to notice until late in the evening. The Front Desk seemed surprised when I mentioned these to them and showed the photos.

The swimming pool/spa…while the pool was clean but heavily chlorinated, the hot tub foamed up like someone had dumped a bottle of bubble bath in it.

Breakfast was low end average even for LaQuinta
