This is a lovely B&B on a quiet street but within walking distance to the town square. The living area, coffee bar area and outdoor covered patio (with hot tub) are available to guests and Melissa (owner) leaves a freshly baked treat on the kitchen table for guests. I stayed in the Mighty Oak room at the end of the hallway. It was very spacious with a king bed and an additional bunk bed (full bed on bottom, twin on top). Even though I was alone, it would have been spacious enough for a couple with a child or two, or for a girls' get-together. The bathroom was also spacious with a shower/tub combo (grab bars also). Breakfast was served buffet style in the kitchen and was outstanding. The hosts are very gracious and the home is super clean. However, I do have just a couple comments: the king mattress in the Mighty Oak room is very soft; if you are in need of a firm mattress, this may not be the best choice. Also, it would have been nice to have a box of Kleenex in the room. March is definitely allergy season in Texas and I ran out of my travel-size tissues. Other than that, I will definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Live Oak. The place was spotless and the breakfast delicious. Our hostess was happy to tell us about attractions in the area. It was a lovely break from the city. We want to bring our boys and their wives next time!

Had one of the MOST restful, soul recharging getaways at Live Oak B&B. Our first B&B experience did not disappoint. The hosts were warm and welcoming, accommodations were extremely comfortable, and the breakfasts were NOT TO BE MISSED. The blueberry stuffed French toast was like nothing I've ever eaten. Highly recommend them for a getaway. We will definitely return.

We were passing through Glen Rose from Dallas to Fredericksburg and wanted somewhere to break up the journey. We were a same day booking and were very pleased to have been able to get a reservation after reading all the great reviews. We were not disappointed. Melissa and Ron came and met us when we arrived and showed us around, we were made to feel very much at home. Our room was lovely and comfortable and after a weekend in an RV it was great to have a bath tub. We didn’t make use of the game room as we were very tired when we arrived but it looked great fun. We loved all the decor and lovely touches around the place. Breakfast at 08:30 was delicious, fresh and homemade. We would definitely come again! Thank you.

Clean accommodations with welcoming host. Room are as found in the details on Tripadvisor. Breakfast was very good as well. Would recommend to those looking to stay in Glen Rose TX, especially for The Promise. Inn is close to town and the Texas amphitheater where the Promise is staged.

We spent thanksgiving weekend here with three couples and 10 kids. I can't say enough good things about it. They have thought of everything to make your stay the best. Huge house. Lots of space. Huge kitchen. Coffee bar in the butlers pantry. Game room . Large yards and deck. Great outdoor kitchen and fire pit. Convenient location to everything in Glen Rose. Melissa and ron are excellent hosts. We will definitely return!!!

Amazing B and B!! Our hosts, Melissa and Ron were friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We had the downstairs suite. It had a private porch with a large yard area. We never heard the other guests even though all the other rooms were booked. In the morning, we had a lovely breakfast of French toast and an asparagus and egg and cheese casserole. There were offerings of fruit, cottage cheese, juices and coffee. When we were packing up to leave, Ron graciously jump started my dead car battery. He was such a gentleman! This will be the only place we will consider staying when we visit Glenrose again!

Don’t stay anywhere else in Glen Rose, best place by far. Beautiful rooms! Service and hospitality is unmatched, and location is central to the whole county. We don’t want to stay at a hotel ever again!

Great place and wonderful people. Lots of beautiful bronze sculptures on display. Amazing really. The place is beautifully decorated and the property is just outstanding. The owners, Ron and Melissa, are fun people to know. So welcoming and comfortable/relaxing to be around (like you've known them for years!) Breakfast was so good....relaxed and yummy. [I happen to LOVE the beautiful blue table in the kitchen so we ate there. (Given a choice....dining room or kitchen.)] -- I'm not sure the place could be any cleaner....or more comfortable. -- AND you have Dinosaur Valley State Park close so you can go look at dinosaur tracks. I'm keeping this place in mind for special occasions...valentines, anniversaries, birthdays, etc. Great experience!

My husband and I ended up arriving several hours late, but our reception was gracious and warm. The first impressions of the home was of warmth and welcome. The house is clean, spacious, and oh so comfortable. Our room was beautifully decorated and cozy. The home is so close to downtown and restaurants that a visitor could easily walk to attractions. The game room is a great amenity and the real treat for any Creature of the Black Lagoon fan. A great place for a family retreat.
