Stay booked in August, 2 nights in a superior room and especially 2x dinners at brasserie 205 run by Chef David Loisel who we follow from Chateau de Candie.
A little scare before leaving, we are told that the brasserie is full, and they recommend restaurants nearby. Phew that was a mistake, everything is back to normal.
Arrival Friday 27 at 4 p.m., parking everywhere, welcome in a sumptuous renovated castle, warm and attentive staff, we were shown our room in an outbuilding, Les Cyprès. We feel that there has been immense work in the park, between majestic trees and new cobblestone paths, what a beautiful renovation! There is still a building under construction, the old stables, and the exterior of the SPA as well, but that doesn't bother at all, it will be magnificent once finished.
Room 12, ours is on the same floor as the Brasserie, and just above the SPA. the building is new, modern, we love our room, 70s style up to date, the bedding is perfect, everything smells new, comfortable, clean.
While waiting for dinner we tried the SPA, self-service, we didn't take any care. Nothing to complain about, still lacking a little decoration but they have just opened, a jacuzzi, a swimming pool with nozzles and water jets, hammam and sauna cabins, and above all everything works perfectly, we can see the work to enlarge the SPA outside, it’s going to be magnificent!
Delicious meal at 205, gourmet brasserie, with attentive staff, and a good night's sleep, the place is very quiet.
Saturday morning, unlimited breakfast, the room is on the first floor of the renovated castle, all the windows have a view of the large trees of the park. The staff is very friendly and there is almost anything you want in terms of food, a real treat.
Walk in the park, it's huge and still very wild, we meet a friendly employee in his cart who tells us the history of the park and the hotel, we loved it! We discover the future golf course, and we learn that there will be a gourmet restaurant in 2024 at the castle.
Sunday morning, it was my partner's birthday, I asked for a red rose for breakfast. I hoped they hadn't forgotten, and no, they had reserved a table for us near a window overlooking the park pond, with the red rose and a little note! Hats off and THANKS to the staff.
We will keep up to date with the evolution of the gourmet restaurant, and the progress of the work on the SPA and will obviously return to this magnificent, well-kept place!
Dolomieu is a little over an hour and a half from our home in Switzerland.
Strongly!

We spent the weekend at "Dolomieu Domain" with my girlfriend. A stay in an idyllic setting that we will remember for a long time.
All the staff is very attentive and responds to every request with a smile.
The classic rooms of the Cedar building in which we stayed are perfectly clean and already large enough for those that are supposed to be the smallest in the field. The bedding is also very comfortable.
The spa area is also very clean and well equipped. The sun allowed us to enjoy the heated outdoor pool despite an ambient temperature cooled by the kiss.
Breakfast, served at the castle, is absolutely amazing. All tastes will be satisfied by quality products.
We also took advantage of the brewery "Le 205" located in the main building of the "Cypresses" to eat one evening. Here again, it's all positive. Serving food, no missteps. A pleasure for the taste buds.
Finally impossible not to approach the beautiful park of the estate, which we crisscrossed for nearly two hours in harmony with nature.
A perfect stay. Thank you!

The Castle-Pension area is a beautiful green setting unfortunately distorted by the addition of modern buildings for receptions and seminars. Too bad they are also present in the park and very close to the castle.
The rooms of the new buildings nevertheless offer all the comforts of modern Inn rooms, with privileged access to the spa area and the outdoor pool.
Some problems noted at the level of the room:
The towel dryer control panel was completely smashed: without front and detached. A little complicated to operate as it is.
The sliding door to the shower room did not fully open or close.
The terrace of the brewery "Le 205" under the windows of the room was relatively noisy in the evening.
The Pension’s restaurant is closed on Mondays but hot meals can be enjoyed at the bar. Jarred dishes and pizzas are available à la carte.
The Breakfast Room on the 1st floor of the castle is pleasant and the buffet offers a wide range of fresh products.

Beautiful area. Surprising contrast between old buildings and new buildings. Neat decoration. I hope that affordable prices will be maintained.
A few small points could have been improved in the room: Fix the toilet seat correctly, check the flow rate of the sink faucet, clean the black marks on the shower floor and the blue marks on the toilet floor.
It's also a shame that breakfast wasn't completely ready at 7 a.m. on Wednesday morning. There was quite a lack of choice.

Everything was perfect! Excellent value for money! The room on the castle side was large and very comfortable, the bedding very good quality, the furniture functional and refined. The spa with free access is superb and without child access, the outdoor pool perfect for some swimming while admiring the beautiful park. The brewery serves nicely presented and delicious dishes.Cocktails at the bar are recommended. The varied and good breakfast, honey on the shelf and pancake machine are good surprises. The staff is friendly and friendly. In summary you can book, you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful area. Having opened recently, the exteriors can still be improved, but the interior spaces of the castle like those of the outbuildings are very beautiful and well-kept. The room (outbuilding) is modest in size but very pleasant, with quality materials. Good value for money. However, the organization with 2 separate receptions is not very practical for the customer.

Very nice place! Very green, very pleasant, very quiet! Perfect for recharging your batteries.
I stayed in one of the rooms in the Cyprès building, which is therefore modern. Cozy room, tastefully decorated. Sothys bath products.
The 205 brewery on site is super pleasant and delicious!
Point of improvement (reported to the reception staff): the signage to find the reception (which is at the castle) when parking in the North car park (as required in the check-in email) is sorely lacking. Several of us did not know where to go and went in the direction of the building hosting the Brasserie and the Spa, where there is a sign indicating that the Reception is at the Château.
First impressions are essential, it's well known (and I worked in high-end hotels) and having the impression of being in a treasure hunt, luggage in hand, is not very optimal.
You should put a sign indicating the Reception in the North car park and/or indicate in the check-in email to first go to the South car park located opposite the Castle in order to easily access the Reception, before then being directed towards the North rooms/parking lot.

This hotel is a disaster with surly untrained employees and absent management. We checked in at 3:30pm having travelled all day from southern Spain only to be told the room was not ready. It became available 15 minutes later. Being hungry we went to the brasserie which was not open for food until 7pm. We went back at 7 and were told the brasserie was fully booked. We asked to see the manager of the hotel but he was not on the premises. No room service and the restaurant won’t open until 2025.
Today the lift is out of service so climb the stairs with luggage to get to the room. Absolutely no assistance. Enter the room at 5:30pm and it is still not made up.
Breakfast is a scrum of people in an overcrowded room. Scrambled eggs made from powdered eggs and stone cold.

We had a superb stay at Domaine Dolomieu.
I recommend you book your slot at the SPA upstream and make a meal at Brasserie 205 which offers quality dishes.
The comfort rooms are located in the same building as the SPA, allowing direct access to the SPA in a bathrobe.

Upon arrival, we were met with a deeply disappointing and unexpected situation: the room we had been allocated was not within the chateau itself, but in a completely separate building outside of it. This was not made clear to us at any point during the booking process and not mentioned anywhere on booking. To stay in the chateau, which is what we had anticipated and what we believed we had paid for, we were told we would need to pay an additional 50% of the original price. This bait-and-switch tactic felt misleading and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, the manager in charge was not just unhelpful but outright rude and dismissive. His attitude reflected a shocking lack of basic hospitality and customer service skills, making an already frustrating situation even more unpleasant. After driving for about an hour from Lyon with high expectations for our stay, we were left feeling thoroughly let down by the entire experience.
This level of service and the deceptive practices we encountered are completely unacceptable for a place that markets itself as a luxury destination. I would strongly caution anyone considering a stay here to think twice, as our experience was overwhelmingly negative. I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone.
