It's in an odd location in North Houston, situated across the street from Wendy's and tucked back behind a small business. After the light, you have to make an immediate right to find the street. We missed it twice! The lobby is disappointing as is the breakfast, but the room itself is great, especially for the less than $40 rate. Bed was so clean and comfortable, a/c was one of the best I've experienced. Flat screen with cable, micro/fridge, iron and board and lots of furniture (2 chairs, nightstands, dresser, desk w/ chair and loveseat). Lighting is low and bathrooom small, but everything was clean and worked fine. Wifi was good too. Didn't hear a peep all night! Liked very much!

Hard to find, hidden behind a Wendy's. Price was great! Check in and out were fine (except that the 1st room we went in had someone's clothes in a pile in the corner and cigarettes on the nightstand with a small baggie next to it). Immediately called front desk and was moved no problem. Room had lots of furniture, almost too much. Flatscreen worked fine but had no HBO (eventhough there's an HBO guide in the room). Air was great! Bed was a little stiff but manageable. There are a few restaurants in walking distance (try the Red Onion Cafe...it's good!). Bathroom is small but very clean with good water pressure (but the water drained slowly and you had to hold the handle to flush the toilet). Hair dryer, iron and board, microwave, fridge but no coffeemaker. Lots of cars in the parking lot at night but never heard a peep. Cheap, no frills or drama. Had everything we needed.

We stayed on a Friday night. Checked in after 11pm. It was quick and no hassles. The room is a good size with lots of furniture and appliances (except a coffee maker). The air conditioner was the coldest I have ever experienced. Wifi was good. Always like a fridge and microwave. Bed was large and very comfortable. The only complaints I have were the tv (All channels were fuzzy and it had a piercing tone in the background while on), the location is a bit north Houston and there were stains here and there. Mostly, though, for the price and being roomy and clean, it was a good deal. The man at checkout was creepy. He just stared at us and watched us leave. Very weird.

I picked the place because the hotel was not too far out of town. After day 2 of the 4 day stay the bed bug bites were all over my body, they got worse and worse. I looked and felt horrible after that experience. I came down there to try and find a job, but by mid point of my longer stay in Houston I didn't want anyone to see my face. This was a poor experience and I would not recommend this for most anyone, especially women or little children.

This hotel had a fair rate at just $50 a night. The room was kept at excellent condition, and I have never met a staff member so nice. He greeted me with much love and let me out of the lobby into the hotel room in a friendly manner. The room itself had great amenities including a flat screen tv, microwave, refrigerator, and very comfortable bed. Was very quite and did not hear a peep all not. Do not judge a book by its cover, so I definitely recommend whoever is in need of a hotel to stay here!

OK. I was on a business trip and missed my flight out of Houston so I needed a quick, inexpensive place to stay in a decent area.
I went online and found the Econolodge in Houston for about 45 dollars a night...including tax. I booked online because the price they quoted when I called was a bit higher.
The motel is a little tricky to find because it's on a small side street and if you miss the turn you have to go around and come back.
When I got to the motel I checking in and unloaded my gear.
Ask for a ground floor if you have lots of luggage. No elevator
The front desk was friendly.
I went out for dinner and found a lot of nice restaurants within a miles distance.
The room...sparce but neat, clean and adequate. The bathroom was clean and looked recently remodled.
Good fast internet...included
There were lots of other guest staying there so looks like I made the right choice. Plenty of free parking
The breakfast in the morning was juice, coffee, choice of 2 cereals and milk, and packaged breakfast rolls. Nothing fancy but I wasn't expecting a lot for under 50 dollars a night.
I could have stayed in a place for twice as much and got a nicer breakfast and a morning newspaper....but for the 50 bucks I saved at the Econolodge, I went out for a really nice dinner and had money to spare.
I'd stay there again

Stayed here a little over a year ago and athough it was ok, I wasn't impressed. This time, however was much MUCH better! Front desk was polite and speedy. Room was a good size with chairs, a desk/chair, king bed, micro/fridge, flat screen with cable, wifi and a/c. Everything worked fine, including the shower and all lamps. It appeared recently renovated (paint, carpet, furniture). Bed was clean, but kind of stiff. Pillows were limp and thin. The towels were some of the softest I have ever felt! There was an ironing board, but no iron and no coffee maker. They did serve bland coffee at breakfast, which is barely basic and not good. Location is NW Houston and almost hidden by a Wendy's and an auto shop. The whole night was completely quiet and I got a seriously cheap rate, so for that I have no regrets.

Location. Impossible to get to with a vehicle. You need 4-wheel drive. Entrance is a private street, not a public street. Potholes the size of watermelons. If you have to stay here use the back exit from the Wendy's. You still have potholes but not so many. Also leave through Wendy's. Beautiful landscaping? Don't think so. The middle 'wall' is a storage business which is not part of the motel. Dumpy you bet. The construction on the highway extends outward into the neighborhood so you will be driving in mud and lots of it. Anywhere! All the nearby streets are torn up and are just mud. You will hate yourself for booking here before you even meet the 'old man' at the desk. Room was a 1. Breakfast at Wendy's was great. Nothing to choose from at the motel except bread, bread, or bread. Your choice. Stay or don't stay. We did not get a good nights sleep, and our car was close to getting some damage. How this place got this kind of review can only be attributed to all the reviewers having the same last name - Patel. Sorry but this one strikes out.

This hotel/motel is an older property-exterior entry into rooms, no elevator. The property is beautifully landscaped, and the exterior of the buildings appear well-maintained. Our room (124) appeared to be newly renovated, and came equipped with a micro-fridge, microwave, as well as a wide selection of TV channels. The beds were firm, but comfortable. The a/c in our room worked well, with the normal amount of noise. We were totally surprised though, to see an area of the bathroom ceiling above the tub have a small-to-fair amount of what we thought might be black mold. We didn't bother to go back across the parking lot to request a new room, as we were planning an early departure the next morning. We found the evening clerk to be rude, when my wife went to the desk to ask for another pillow. I guess having a few extra $3.00 pillows around for guests to use, are going to break them. I had planned to tell the morning clerk about the mold, but he was also an "issue". I walked into the front office around 6:20 am, to find nothing set out for breakfast. Soon afterward, the morning clerk, who appeared to have been awoken by the door alarm came flying out. Everything was set up in about 5 minutes or less. As someone else stated, breakfast was very basic. Two types of cereal, two types of pastry, bread, orange juice and coffee. There was also a waffle machine. I was going to make a waffle, but the clerk didn't shake it up when he took it out of the refrigerator. So, it came out unmixed and gross. I have given this location one of my rare "poor" ratings, due to the unprofessional manner of the two clerks, the neglected ceiling in the bathroom, and the unmixed waffle mix. We've planned another trip to Houston, and will be staying in another hotel/motel. If you're only needing one night, and the price is right for you, give it a shot. We might of just gotten the two wrong clerks, and the wrong bathroom ceiling.

Our stay at Econolodge was comfortable, and we enjoyed the contental breakfast the following morning. The pool was nice as well. We would highly recommend this hotel near the Bradley Airport in Connecticut.
