I am a frequent traveler, and I must say, my stay at The Westin Houston, Memorial City was nothing short of amazing! All because of MARIO, who checked us in. He was the epitome of excellence in service.

We arrived super early and he not only accommodated our early arrival but also upgraded our room. He was super friendly and professional, taking the time to explain the the layout of the rooms and asking for our preference. Like I said, I travel quite often and in all my years of traveling, I've never had that experience. The room was amazing. We opted for the bigger bathroom, and boy was it big! The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the high floor was very quiet. Housekeeping was also wonderful in making sure we had everything we needed.

The pool and hot tub on the rooftop were fantastic, and as warm as the Texas temp was, the breeze on the rooftop was nice and cool. We spent a lot of time up there just relaxing and enjoying the view of the city. My husband actually fell asleep the second time we were up there.

We did not get to eat at the restaurant but it was always packed every time we walked by, so the food must be great. We will definitely check it out next time.

On the way out, Mario actually remembered us and made a joke that we had to try the other room with the second floor plan on our next visit, before he bade us goodbye. What a guy! Thanks so much Mario! We will definitely be back and hope to see you when we do.

My favorite thing about this hotel is the location. So many great restaurants and shopping in walking distance (even a new vineyard and winery!) and very convenient to the west side of town. Parking was easy and convenient and I saw staff cleaning often. Everyone is wearing masks and wiping down surfaces. Please note that there is no food service at all in the hotel currently so you must either order in from a local restaurant or go out. This was not a problem for us because there were so many great options close by, but I do wish there had been a breakfast option for Platinum guests (even if it was just a Starbucks voucher). The gym is great (also very clean), and the beds were comfortable. I will be back!

Let me start out by saying I am a Titanium Elite member with Marriott and racked up over 120 nights in 2019, I say that to say I am incredibly particular about my accommodations.

The experience and accommodations were amazing. Starting with Ms. Annie Vo at the front desk. She greeted us, knew it was our wedding anniversary and upgraded us to a suite in the residence area of the hotel.

She was warm, kind and funny but more than that - efficient with our time during check-in.

The room was impeccably clean, modern and HUGE. My only thing to say about the room is I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the jets for the tub.

When my husband went down to the grill to grab us some cocktails, Ms. Vo gave him 2 drink vouchers for the next time we came down!

The pool is heated but the hot tub was cold and I couldn’t figure out how to turn that on either.

I utilized the gym facility the next day and it was above average. Breakfast was good & checkout was cool. Self-parking was $16 and the elevator took us straight to the lobby.

I will definitely stay there again when I have my girlfriends in town.

Ms. Vo definitely made the experience excellent.

I was just told that when my 4p guaranteed titanium late checkout was cancelled then move just to 1p because I am in a suite using a suite night reward. Marriott on phone and website clearly states that for titanium 4p is guaranteed regardless of room type except at resort and convention hotels. If they are not claiming convention status then policy is being violated. Just reached out to gm by email and will let business travelers know what happens as w late night flights etc this is critical for the business traveler. Seems only locals here this weekend and really doubt room is sold soon. So to drive away titanium/ambassador business travelers seems bad call

Yumei and her team are knocking it out of the park. My kiddos and I stay here often, for fun, quick staycations over the last 6 years or so, and have written several reviews to brag about my experiences, but each and every time, I cannot wait to write another once.

I am huge on service and people who are truly passionate about finding ways to make things happen, vs the easy way out. The location next to the mall, and connected to so many options and varieties or food and fun, speaks for itself, and is always top notch (rooms recently updated), but it’s the people and kindness that really makes a difference.

From the hard working, friendly valet team, who go out of the way to help even inside the lobby, or Melvin’s upbeat and positive attitude at the front desk, Emily kindly taking my calls asking for extra towels or sheets and those requests delivered in mere minutes, day or night, Lesia going out of her way to do a kind gesture, late at night, just because, all the way to the Director of Security making his rounds and taking the time to say hello and introduce himself. Lots of small things add up to the imaginable stay.

This group deserves every 5 star review they get. Service, Amenities, Value, Atmosphere, Location, Cleanliness; all subjective. But sincerity, now that’s something special, and is exactly what my sons and I get, from each and every employee representing Marriot and The Westin Memorial City.

Great location on the Energy Corridor with easy access to highways, shopping, restaurants, and businesses. Renovated rooms and everything I need to charge devices, stream, and unwind. Ample lighting which is appreciated as many hotel rooms typically feel dark and dim to me.

Great gym with Peloton, nice pool and hot tub, though pool deck can be windy as it’s outside on the 18th floor – but the views are great all around.

Staff is always friendly and welcoming and greet me by name. Shout out to excellent service from Gia, Lesai, and Annie for always making my stays peaceful and relaxing.

First impression was simply amazing. Check in was quick. The lady then offered me cold water from the fridge, detailed explanation of where everything is, where and when breakfast is served, showed me to the lift and even pressed the buttons. Room was spacious, modern and clean. The bed was huge and comfy. The only bad point is that my room faced the highway and you can hear the constant noise. You do get used to it after the while. Maybe for my next stay I ask to be located on the opposite side of the hotel.

This is something I experienced at this hotel I want to share with everyone. To be a longtime customer and gold elite member I will be having the early check in and late check out option when on the property. On 3/20 around 1:10 pm i went to the front desk welcomed by the reception lady ( on the far right ) she asked for my last name and did some research on her computer. She advised me there is no clean room available at that time and she asked me to check back at 2:30pm. I took my family to the mall for shopping and I returned to the same reception lady at 2:15pm. She checked the computer and advised me the same. “ there is no clean room and asked me to come back at 3pm.” I was like come on it’s been more than an hr still no room available. At the mean time there was another guest walked in who was welcomed by the reception lady at the middle section …he was provided with room keys and fast check in process. At this time I was so upset with my reception lady and I asked for refund. She advised me that with the cancellation policy I will not get full refund. I told her it’s not my problem but it’s yours. Your don’t have a room for me. At this time a manager stepped in checked my my ID. I expressed my concerns… why I was treated differently by ur staff ? Because I was not well dressed or I am no the race you want to see on the property ? She apologized and advised me that her employee did not have the same access like her and try to offer me with a free breakfast for my family. I told her no need for that but I told her that her employee need more tranning. Everyone that walk in to this hotel need to be treat equally and fairly. The guest who walked in after me was serviced by another reception lady who was wearing the same uniform and both two reception ladies should have the same room access. I don’t buy the excuses with “no access”. Do not judge the book by the book covers. To provide great customer service is the key to success for the hotel business. Westin hotel is a well known hotel brand and hopefully the management can address the problem to prevent future harm for the business. Thanks for your time and consideration.

Anniversary to remember! We were greeted by Mario Fuentes with a gracious smile and enthusiasm for customers server. Our rooms had amazing views of the city of Houston. The staff rolled out the red carpet for us and made us feel so special, by having a cheese board and champagne delivered by Danny Martínez. They also had given us a Happy Anniversary card signed by them (Mario.F, Liz, Cathy, Danny.M and Ishmael) with kind words. They were quick to solve a problem, we called that we needed napkins and Danny Morales the manager came up himself to deliver them. Wow! Great job Westin Memorial City.

We arrived on the Wednesday early and were given the room right away. The room was very clean everything was in order. The manager of the check-in-staff was very accommodating with our ice packs. A special shout out to Lesia Marshall. I needed to ship something and she was able to supply shipping boxes for me and point me to the direction of the nearest UPS location. How far is the property from the NRG stadium, restaurants & nightlife.
Answer from TheWestinMemorial

Hi Tameikia! We are located 16 miles from NRG Stadium, which should take around 25-45 minutes to get to. As for restaurants, there is a variety of spots located within walking distance from us. There is also a food court inside Memorial City Mall that we are connected to. You can look on the Memorial City website for a list of all restaurants in the area. For nightlife, your best bet is going to be around downtown/midtown, which is about 35-45 minutes away from us. Hope this helps!
