We chose this hotel because of its central location to the multiple gyms my son was going to be playing. Check in was smooth and efficient. The layout of our room (321) was a little different than your typical room layout, which was nice. I am convinced that aside from some dated carpet, you would be hard pressed to find a cleaner hotel property or a friendlier staff. I would definitely return to this site for future trips.

I want to give 5 stars to Mo & Geo for their perfect customer service, and ladies in breakfast area for being friendly & helpful. We got such warm welcome from Mo on the night we checked in, after such a long road trip at such a late time. Mo & Geo really went above and beyond to more than we even asked for. Besides that, there is one thing that we would love to comment is that we usually work late at night in the lobby due to our kids sleeping in our our rooms. It was a week long stay. The lobby area was really dark for some nights, and we did ask if maybe keep the lights on for us to work for a few hours, and he declined right away (only Mo & Geo went above and beyond to turn on the lights for us to work, before we even asked). Besides that, the light was turned off even while we were sitting there to work every night, and even before friendly notifying us. I personally think that keeping the lights on for a few hours when needed should not cost much. Mo & Geo really took care of all the guests and offer us such friendly and welcoming experience that should be awarded 5 stars.

The staff were outstanding. The woman who checked us in on Thanksgiving went above and beyond - got us blankets and then made sure the colors of the blankets were okay. We had a suite that was huge, although not furnished as homey as I would have liked. My only complaint was that the desk chair in the room obviously hadn’t been cleaned - there were childrens markers and colored pencils lying on the chair. Otherwise it was a really nice stay with amazingly friendly staff.

Staff was rushed when we arrived because they were changing shift and seemed more concerned with that than checking us in. Then placed in a room where "the tub was being stripped". It was a horrible yellow color that we refused to get in and was not told that striping was being done until we got to the room and called back to the desk to let them know it was unacceptable. In addition the room had a bad musty smell. We were then changed to another room that also had a horrible musty /moldy smell and the room had no phone so we were unable to call down to the desk. We were exhausted after a long night before and full day so we decided to just sleep. Woke up to even stronger moldy odor. Went and got Lysol and spayed carpet, drapes, and all surfaces. Found mold growing in the closet so sprayed that. Beware of mold that may be growing on the upper part of the closet (between top of structure and ceiling) where we were unable to see. I think that was also a culprit of the odor/mold). Beware of this hotel for stay.

The facility staff was pleasant & decent breakfast but did not overcome the room condition. The room was very musty or moldy. The elevator, carpets & AC units needs cleaning or replacing. Bathroom exhaust fan not working or not present.

I have been a fan of Hampton Inns however this experience was much less than I have come to expect. The desk clerk was friendly when I checked in however it went down hill from there. There was a terribly strong dog odor in the room. I knew it was a pet friendly property but this was way too much and the hope that it would get better was unrealized. I know I could stay at the Hilton, Doubletree or Embassy Suites that were not an extreme distance from this property that do not allow pets however, when only staying one night while passing through it is convenient to stay in a smaller property without the effort to get in and out. I suggest Hilton consider having human friendly rooms as well as pet friendly rooms. Similar to what used to happen before 100% smoke free hotels when there were smoking floors and smoke free floors and a penalty if you smoked in the room. If there was a human friendly floor it would make it a much better experience. I love and appreciate animals but I don’t like to sleep in a dog kennel.

The fridge didn’t work and when I pulled it out to see if it needed to be plugged in I found deep deposits of dust etc. It was plugged in but the adjustment was unresponsive and never did turn on. I politely let them know at check out and received nothing of an apology or any empathy just a quick, “I will let maintenance know”, without even looking me in the eyes, thanking me for letting her know or any such thing. It made me feel like the response meant, I don’t care, won’t likely do anything about it and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

The client service was exceptional and all staff were so friendly and helpful. This hotel had hot breakfast every morning and any toiletries one may need. A very pleasant surprise. Highly recommend. We just returned from vegas after staying at a higher end hotel and I would rate this hotel higher based on the client service experience alone.

Nice staff, smelly room. Noisy mechanical room created an annoying noise all night long. Slow and noisy elevator.
Didn't try the food based on the smell in the room. Will stay in a Hampton again; just not this one.

Pamela is the sales director and works regularly with my company. She took extra time for a larger group stay to have welcome baskets with snacks, water and local beer ready for all of us. She is simply the most caring and wonderful hotel staff I have had the pleasure of working with.

I hate to say this because staff was nice to us but as soon as we walk into the room we were surprised on how small it was! I don’t think they were queen beds... bathroom tub was somewhat dirty, lights didn’t work so we had to use lamps, it was a family trip and I didn’t want to be looking for another hotel and driving around Houston in the middle of the night with my three kids. So I just stayed, but I’m not planning on coming back.
