Nestled in an ideal location, Hyatt House Houston Medical Center has won the hearts of numerous travelers keen on exploring nearby attractions. The staff's friendly, helpful nature often receives praise, although there are occasional mentions of slow service. Most guests appreciate the clean, spacious rooms with kitchens and the hotel's amenities, including an outdoor pool and shuttle service. Despite some concerns over room design and breakfast offerings, the overall cleanliness and value have made a positive impression, with only a few reports of unexpected charges marring the experience.

This is a new hotel. The rooms are clean and as pictured in photos. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. The value obtained (free breakfast, clean rooms, low parking fees, heated pool, great location) at the price point offered is outstanding.

I stayed with a group of middle school students for 6 nights. The staff was very responsive to our needs. The kitchen and living space in the double queen rooms meant that the students had enough room to get a little personal space throughout the week without being right on top of each other the entire time. The outdoor pool and deck area was a total game changer - it gave the group plenty of room to unwind after the long days of hard work. The quality of the staff and the space was outstanding. I would absolutely stay here again.

We were extremely pleased during our recent stay at this location. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful and the room was nice, clean and cozy as we’ve come to expect from HH. More attention to floors and we were disturbed several times after requesting a late check out is our only negative feedback. The property was very well kept and we will definitely be back and highly recommend as you will not find a better overall value for the price.

Our priority is always to ensure our valued guests feel comfortable and satisfied. Assurance has been taken to make improvements where necessary. I chose Hyatt "House" TMC in anticipation of a much longer stay in the coming months. First, the room was clean but very small. There was no kitchenette only a microwave and a small refrigerator. When I have stayed at Hyatt House in the past, the room was well equipped with utensils, dishes, a smaller refrigerator and stove. The small microwave and dorm size refrigerator would have been fine if I booked a Hyatt Place but for a Hyatt House, it is unacceptable.

For those of us loyal to Hyatt and have status do not expect to be greeted as such, receive or be offered a bottle of water, or a late check out we were offered nothing. It is as if the program did not exist.

There is a shuttle which will take you around a small radius, which was nice and it was relatively quick.

I am generally loyal to Hyatt, but when I return for my longer stay, I will be looking at one of the many, many other options available.

when we checked in and got the keys to the room, we waited outside the room for a long time for multiple staff members to bring multiple keys to get us in our room. we were exhausted from our day and this was a bad first impression. we also go that room specifically for the panoramic city view with floor to ceiling windows and our blinds in the room didn’t work to raise up. we only got $50 off our stay which was barely 10% of our cost and defeated the purpose of the room and wasn’t accommodated.

I previously stayed at Hyatt Place (11/2023) while visiting MD Anderson. That stay was excellent except for the room not being cleaned. This time my husband and I stayed at Hyatt House so I could start treatments on a clinical trial in March 2024. The treatments had to be delayed, so we checked out after two nights. I wanted a printout of the charges since we were checking out a few days early. The front desk refused to print them out and insisted that they would be emailed to me. They never were emailed. However, a few days later Hyatt House charged me for the entire week. I had to call them and push to get them to recognize that I had checked out early and correct the charges. I also had to insist that they send a receipt of the actual itemized amount for the stay (1/3 what they tried to charge me). Finally, I also cancelled the reservations for the following week when I was supposed to come back to MD Anderson. Yet, today I was charged a no-show penalty of $121.69. The man I spoke to refused to acknowledge that the reservation had been cancelled a week early and said he couldn’t just go on my word. I called the MDA travel agent who had booked and cancelled the room for me and she was finally able to get them to admit that they were wrong by giving them the cancellation confirmation number that they themselves had generated. On top of all of this, we stayed there for two nights and paid $149/night because of the rodeo price gauging and they didn’t even clean our room, again. Nope - never staying there again. Thankfully I was able to book into the Rotary House for the new treatment dates.

Stayed for four nights while a family member was in Memorial Hermann. They were very helpful as we had to extend our stay on a day-by-day basis. Wonderful, well-prepared breakfast buffet options. Be advised that parking is only available in the garage and is an extra $15 per night.

I booked this place for a family reunion. Saturday 7/22 we went down to the lobby bar. The bartender was uneducated on bartending. When asked for the liquor that was suppose to be in the drink from the menu (Bacardi) he said Malibu taste better. For a $16 drink that is not the same substitution. Then he proceeded to say we’re out of Bacardi. Which is fine but educate your guest on it so they’re not expecting something else. And when asked for another drink he said, “ well I already made the drink and rang it up on the tab”. I told him to split it off we do not want it. He then said, “they don’t do that here”. It took over 20 min to get all four of our drinks. Which was a margarita, draft beer, strawberry margarita, and a michelada. When it was time to close out he gives us a receipt without a itemized copy. When asked he said, “ the system does not print out those only when it’s a room charge”. And sadly in between this multiple people left the bar because he just couldn’t get around to them because of us 4 people and another set of 4 people that was there long before us. Very nice place and location but not good on bar service.

This very contemporary facility is reasonably close to the Medical Center area. It is clean and new but definitely not a good choice for medical patients. The food service in particular...a limited menu of bar food is available for a window of time in the afternoon/evening. An underwhelming buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. No literature in the room about how to turn on lights (requires a room key...who knew?). No lighting above the beds. Not customer friendly.

Staff was very friendly. The building took a little while to figure out - you have to go back down to first floor to be able to get to the parking garage.

The design of the single king room is terrible. The air conditioner blows right on your face when you are sleeping at night so I had to make a modified pillow fort to divert the air. This is a dog friendly hotel which is great unless someone leaves their dog unattended and barks for several hours at a time. I did inform the front desk about it but nothing was done so I turned up the sound machine full blast and put in some earplugs.

Breakfast here is about average for hotels that I have paid half the price for in the past.

Parking is an extra $15 overnight for your vehicle.

I go for more pricey hotels when I am in town for continuing education courses so I can try and get the best sleep that I can but this time it didn’t pan out.
