I would call the whole experience pretty average and what you would expect; this is by no means a criticism because the hotel met exceptions. The staff was friendly and the room was decently sized and clean. The location is really good with a mall right across the street and the rail right on the street. If you're staying her,...

I have tried to stay for business before, but rooms are always too expensive. Finally stayed for a personal trip, and enjoyed the central location and proximity to bike share and light rail. Downtown is a mixed bag at night and on weekends, so you will probably come here for a specific reason, not to just hang out and explore...

This hotel was confusing to find as there are other hotels attached to this one. I initially walked by because I did not see the hotel sign for Courtyard. Once I arrived, I found the rooms to be quite nice

This is my favorite hotel to stay at in downtown Houston on business. The rooms are big and clean. The gym is impressive for a business hotel. The location is good for business, but I would probably recommend somewhere else for other purposes. It's very quiet nearby the hotel at night (i.e., almost no nightlife). The breakfast service is quick...

Only Marriott would have the incredible wisdom to sell guests popcorn in there little store knowing full well that their room actually has no microwave to pop the popcorn in. Now that is a marketing stratey an MBA must have thought up. Other than that, the rooms are way over priced for a courtyard style hotel even if it is...

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our hotel! I sincerely apologize we don't have microwaves in the rooms however we have a microwave in the market so guests can make the popcorn and take it back to their rooms. We wanted to offer a home away from home snack. We truly value your business and hope...

We have stayed at this location many times over the last 3-4 years and I have never had any complaints. We live about an hour north of the city and this is always our go-to place for any events in Houston such as concerts, company holidays parties, etc. Our most recent stay on Saturday, February 28th was to attend the...

I stayed here for 2 nights on business and found the hotel ideally located in downtown Houston with excellent transport links. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was on the 8th floor and was a corner room that had an extra wide bed. I mention this because this was the most comfortable mattress that I have...

Stayed here just one night for an overnight business meeting. Location was good as several restaurants were nearby. My room was very large and comfortable (see comments on room selection), and check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

Stayed her for two weekday nights on business in mid February, 2015. Nothing particularly good or bad about the stay. Price seemed high ($340 plus taxes) for what you got but I'm not familiar with prices in the Houston area so can't say for sure. Observations below: Property and arrival: In an older, eight story or so building that they...

This hotel is slowing undergoing renovations so when it is finished everything is going to be much nicer. That being said our stay was quite nice. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Old-style luxury and state-of-the-art technology converge at the recently-updated Courtyard Houston Downtown hotel just a 10-minute walk from the George R. Brown Convention Center. A true stand-out among downtown Houston hotels for our historical ambiance housed in the 1921 Humble Oil Building's neo-classical exterior with newly-renovated rooms equipped with modern amenities. Guests enjoy in-room perks such as free WiFi and HDTVs. The gem of our historic building is our renovated Presidential Suite. Originally the office to the Humble Oil CEO, we've updated this stunning suite with stylish furnishings while keeping the original marble fireplace. The highlight of our lobby experience is The Bistro. Eat. Drink. Connect., Which offers guests food and beverage selections in the morning and new dinner service. Our downtown Houston hotel is within walking distance or a free shuttle ride to Minute Maid Park, Convention Center and Toyota Center.
