My husband and I stayed for our honey moon and we were blown away with how clean, nice, and professional everyone was. The front desk was very sweet and patient, the housekeeping was fantastic. Everything was extremely clean, they provided refills on everything we needed, they picked up the clothes in our room, wrapped up my straightener cord, they even hung up my wedding gown for me! We also loved how relaxing the showers were and enjoyed the smell of white tea for all of their products. Also valet was amazing. They ran to us so they can open up doors for us, and helped take out luggage for us. Special thanks to Marcus, Carlos and Johnathan as well as all the staff. They truly made our weekend a great experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. We will absolutely be returning!

My family and I stayed here the during the last week of August 2024.
From the first encounter, the valet and doorman made us feel welcome. Then at reservations, Mikey welcomed us all and asked questions and gave helpful tips to make sure she could make our stay the best possible experience.
Our room was clean and had nice extras like aromatherapy oil to help us sleep well. Also, the motion night lights below the bed are genius for getting around the room safely without disturbing others at night.
In the bathroom, the shower was so refreshing with the rain head and hand held nozzle. The bath products smelled great!
We had breakfast the next day and the food was good! We had the had the huevos rancheros, Greek yogurt bowl, and banana pancakes.
Overall, I was so impressed. I’ve stayed at other Westins but did not have the 5 star experience at those that I’ve had here. I highly recommend this location!

I stayed at this property for one night in November 2024. As always, let's go pros and cons.
Pros
1. The hotel valet parking service was great, especially AJ.
2. After checking in, the front desk registration staff member gave me a tour of lobby and shared the operating hours for the restaurant, store and gym.
3. The property is located next to the Houston Astros baseball stadium and plenty of restaurants.
4. The bottom of the bed frame has motion sensor night lights, which helps in the middle of the night.
Cons
1. There was a lot of loud noise and music outside from a bar or club as well as from car and truck exhaust notes. It made it nearly impossible to go to sleep and I was on the 7th floor.
2. The room's air conditioning unit would activate for 3 seconds and then cut off, making the room uncomfortably warm overnight.
3. The bed's blanket weight was extremely heavy. It felt smothering and I had to turn it away.
4. It took five minutes for shower water to turn hot,
Overall: Because of the outside noise and the uncomfortable room, I don't know if I'd stay at this property again unless I stayed on a much higher floor with an operable AC unit.

Planned a get away for this weekend of 9-20 at This Hotel as we always do. From the time you drove in you feel Welcomed
The Valet team on the Drive to the Front Desk employees are awesome. You will not be disappointed with the atmosphere the food the Friday night Deejay and of course The Astros Game also enjoyed the upgrades in the rooms. The reason I give a three star. I Valet at The Westin it's not cheap but my car is safe.Saturday Morning seen a Valet employee in the front he drove car after car FaceTiming on his phone. That is an accident waiting to happen. After my coffee and cigarete and we were ready I requested my vehicle of all people David the Face Timer pulled up walked off with my keys to busy on his phone. It's a shame how one person can make the whole group look bad. Other than this we had a good time we will be back

We had no notice when booking our stay at The Westin Downtown Hotel that it was under construction. The extremely loud construction noise echoed throughout the hotel. Our reservation started on a Friday, November 22, 2024 for 2 nights. Before we checked in we were contemplating leaving due to the excessive noises but we were assured by the front desk that construction was soon to end and there would not be construction workers on site making noise on Saturday. Both those statements by the front desk were untrue. We woke up Saturday morning to extremely loud construction noises. We could not even enjoy a cocktail at the bar because we couldn’t hear each other talking across the table due to the noise. The valet service was exceptional however the ridiculous cost to park our vehicle was 71.00 a night. Very unhappy to receive that bill upon check out. We chose to eat breakfast Sunday morning in the dining room because we thought we could get in and out quickly seeing how only 2 other tables were occupied. No such luck it took right at one hour to receive our breakfast. We ordered an overpriced continental breakfast and egg omelette. No complaints about housekeeping. They cleaned our room and restocked towels appropriately.

Was in Houston for a work conference and stayed at the Westin. The hotel is very well maintained. My room was excellent, had all the amenities you'd expect from a Westin. Location was perfect and near some great restaurants.
The best part was the staff. From the moment I pulled up to valet to the moment I left everyone was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I have to give special recognition to the valet team. They are very professional without being stuffy, smiles, courteous and helpful. The front office team is also very professional with attention to the small details.

Nicely renovated rooms. Decor is standard Westin it would appear as each Westin I’ve stayed in has had a similar decor and style. Check in experience was positive with friendly staff.
Titanium Member-would appear loyalty doesn’t mean anything to this particular hotel.
$14 breakfast credit is provided which isn’t very good in my opinion.
No room upgrade despite there being available rooms.
Found a used condom wrapper covered in lube that either fell out of the bed or was left on the floor by housekeeping. I’m still skeptical that the bedding was even changed.
Front desk manager offered 3k points , was allegedly able to get 5 . Only 3 were loaded. Was told it would take 72hrs for the additional 2k to be loaded (despite the 3k being loaded straightway). Followed up via email a few days later , no reply. Followed up again several days later again , once again NO REPLY.
I appreciate things happen but it’s all about how they are handled and resolved. This hotel has let itself down with the lack of follow through by its MANAGEMENT. As it was the front desk manager allegedly I was dealing with whom has now decided it with ignore me and not follow through on her agreement . Very poor service which prompted this review.

Staff at this hotel is awesome
The valet Mr Elias was so friendly & helpful. The wait staff at restaurant was great as well.

The Westin is a modern well-maintained hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. Check-in was quick and easy and our rooms were available at 3:00 as requested. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good and priced fair. The bar is very crowded before and after Astros home games.
The only knock on this hotel is the valet parking fee. I realize it's outsourced but it cost more than any hotel where I've ever stayed. Leisure travelers be prepared to pay a lot for valet parking. And their text system to call for the car didn't work. After waiting around for 10 minutes we finally asked and they said they didn't get the request. Management should not penalize leisure travelers to keep Astros fans from parking and should not subsidize the restaurant next door at the expense of hotel guests.

Hello. Great news, it is a 30 second walk across the street. And our Hotel bar is open well before and after all games where we have excellent crafted food and beverage options available.
