Club Quarters Hotel Downtown, Houston boasts a prime location that many guests appreciate for its accessibility to attractions and nightlife. The atmosphere is generally seen as inviting, with a modern lobby and vibrant lounge area, although some furnishings show signs of wear. While some guests commend the cleanliness and friendly staff, the rooms often receive criticism for being small and outdated, with cleanliness and maintenance issues noted. This hotel positively surprised me in many ways. Although I kept reading about how small my room choice was, I was quite happy about how large it actually was! Efficiently organized, well-stocked, and brightly decorated is how I found the room to be. I was amazed this small room contained a kitchenette complete with microwave, sink, refrigerator and even a few items like bowls and plates-amazing. The room was in GREAT condition, the lobby was almost luxurious, yet the corridors could be a bit enhanced. Speaking of lobby, there was nearly a constant presence of treats in the lobby, including an amazing cappuccino/latte/coffee machine that was FANTASTIC! I stayed here on New Years Eve for a wedding and chose this location due to its affordability over neighboring hotels. Because it was NYE, the hotel was bustling. I had a small room issue but manager Megan was certain to resolve it and make it right by me.

Room was very quiet even though the hotel is situated in the very center on a busy street. Very closely situated to METRO which makes it easy to get anywhere in the city. A lot of restaurants and fast food places around, even though they can be closed on weekends.

The personnel was very friendly and forthcoming, there is a microwave and a fridge in the room, and also water dispenser with bottles in the corridor on each floor.

After being underwhelmed by airbnb/apart-hotels we decided to try a moderately priced hotel instead for our 3 day visit to Houston. Service is not lost on the management here as obviously demonstrated by the front desk staff Brian and Moula. We were looked after well instead of fending for our own or on endless “support chat” conversations with someone hundreds if not thousands of miles away. Club quarters is well priced and well run. A good combination we bo longer see in the hospitality business.

The room was extremely small, the pictures online did not match what was
given, the room had dust everywhere, the pillow had stains on them, the reservation for two people we were only given one face towel, very noise you can hear everything outside of the room and you can hear everything inside of the room if you were standing outside, the hallways smelled awful, the staff was rude, and the bathroom is small & out dated. Need to clean up properly, make no stains on pillow cases or sheets, dust everything, put out more towels if the reservation has more then one person. Be respectful to your guest. Take value in your service and guest. I complain to the manager regarding the front desk personal hanging up in my husband face he stated it was no way the young lady done that. When clearly she did which is why we went downstairs to speak to a manager. Overall this was the worst experience I will never visit this hotel again or tell anyone to try them

My company has a rate here. Now I know why it is so cheap. The service in every department is terrible. I ordered room service and they took over an hour to deliver a cold hamburger and fries. The front desk could not help me take the fee off as they said only the restaurant manager could help me. The restaurant manager was a lead bartender and she said she would take the fee off. The next day room service did not have anyone to take the order up so they just said I could come pick it up. The housekeeping department did not pickup trash in the hallway until two days later. They supposedly had a free van ride around downtown. The problem they had was they never had anyone staffed to drive it. Turns out that the valet was outsourced and you could not complain to a manager at the hotel. I called the front desk to try to get some information about the valets manager and they said they could not help me as they were too busy right now. I will not stayed here again.

Stayed here as a couple for a week. We wanted a central city location as many of the activities we wanted to do in and around Houston were within a nice distance.

When we arrived we were received an upgrade in our room.
Check in was quick and easy at the desk. They also have self service check in which seemed a great idea.

The room was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The room was fitted with a smart tv, microwave oven, coffee machine and kitchen utensils. The only thing I would say about the room is that it was advertised there is a safe in the room. There was no safe in the room.

The hotel offers guests coffee, soda and snacks in the lobby which worked a treat for us and we saved a fortune! We were able to grab a coffee in the morning and a couple of sodas for the day ahead. There was also breakfast bars. From 4pm the hotel offers snacks (nuts and m&m’s) and wine.

Other amenities in the hotel consist of a gym, board rooms, a restaurant which is open for breakfast lunch and dinner and laundry facilities.

Great hotel! Highly recommended!

The hotel is great at first sight, but you quickly fall victim to some stuff. For example, the is no free parking only vallet. Which is to be expected downtown, but at almost 40/night that seems a little ridiculous and should be clearly stated when booking. The next thing is that the hotel has a housekeeping protocol that prevents cleaning and most room services while staying. This means any trash collected will just stay in the room unless you take it out. Additionally, other resources such as towels or products are not restocked either. You can receive some upon calling but if you stay for a long time then it just starts to pile up and its annoying. The one nice thing was the elevator, because it was 1 party in it at all times. Oh also don't count on good cable or wifi.

We booked our reservation through a website that gave us a discount. On that website, this hotel was given 4 stars. When we went to our room, you could see old dirt in corners of the carpet going into the room. The room itself had old furniture with nicks and scratches. The arm chair was small and the upholstery was from decades ago. When we went to lay down in our bed, we had only one pillow each and the sheets a bit stiff, like lower quality linens. On the other side, the bathroom seemed more updated and had a very nice shower with the hot and cold water clearly marked. And, in the lobby there was a very nice machine for dispensing free coffee and tea. I am giving a 2-star rating because the hotel rooms covered the basics, but there were not "extras" that gave us the impression that the hotel owners had gone out of their way to make the room look and/or feel "extra" comfortable. Also, you need to pay more than $ 30 for parking on top of the cost of the room or you have to park on the street.

What a flophouse! I had to stay there for two nights. The room was very sparsely furnished and equipped. Right after I entered the room, I could see some ugly stains on the carpet next to the desk. The bed was so uncomfortable that I had a pain in my back every morning. There was not even a hairdryer in the room or they just tucked it away from me, so that I could not consume the power. That’s how it felt to me. And I didn’t like the wet and closer coming curtain during taking a shower!
The absolute worst thing and experience happened upon check out. As I looked over the bill I saw that they charged me almost $40 for parking! I never ever booked this service or even never did talk to anybody of the hotel staff about it. The most ridiculous fact was, that the female staff member was not able to refund the money for that! She told me, that only the manager can do so, but he or she was not here at this time. How embarrassing is this for a hotel, if they charge you for something you never booked and they are not able or willing to apologize and fix their mistakes! Nevertheless the staff member made some notes and promised to forward the issue on this to the manager, which I was doubting immediately! Nothing happened the days after. Two times I wrote them an e-mail, but they did not even have the manners and decency to answer my message! Just embarrassing for them. But typical for such an unreliable flophouse! Never ever again for me!
