I evacuated from Hurricane Laura and was staying at another hotel on Old Spanish Trail when I saw the hotel and the rates listed on the hotel bus in the parking lot. I immediately checked out of my hotel and it was the best decision I ever made. The hotel was immaculate and the staff was professional. They checked on me every day and inquired about my well-being. The free breakfast was delicious and the housekeeping staff cleaned my room every time I requested it. I cannot say enough about this hotel. This will be my hotel every time I come to Houston.

I must say first thing, the room was clean. The staff was very friendly. We checked in after 8 pm and there was only one person working. She was getting it done, but it really is unfair to have her working by herself. That said, the placed smelled lived in, like old cooking oil. My door had a big gap between it and the hallway. The walls were thin. I could hear everyone's conversation at 3 in the morning.... my neighbors were night owls.

The kitchenette had 2 burners, a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, and small sink.

There weren't any outlets near the bed to plug in my chargers. There is definitely an outlet shortage. I had to use the one in the bathroom. There was one near the couch. I counted 2 available. Most were occupied by the lights of the nightstand. The nightstands did not have an outlet, which I was expecting.

The bathroom sink would not drain.

The roaches were the deal breaker. I just couldn't. We were supposed to stay 2 weeks, I only lasted 1 night.

It is a good deal for the price if you are on a budget. It was roughly $60/ night. I was in town to help with the water crisis and didn't book this hotel. My teammate was suspicious based on the photos on line, but we thought we would check it out regardless.

This was our third time staying here in the past 2 1/2 months. All three stays have been wonderful. This is the friendliest and helpful hotel staff I have ever seen. We were scheduled to stay for 5 days in a double room suite for my mother in law’s cancer surgery. After surgery we were told instead of one overnight stay in hospital, she would be there a week. We were able to then change to a single room and extend our stay, but she was released two days early and they canceled the remaining nights with no penalty. Clean rooms, friendly staff and shuttle service to Medical City on the hour. Colleen is wonderful, give that woman a raise!

Friendly service from friendly people. This is a good short-stay place. It is safe, clean, and somewhat affordable. The suite location is also an asset for anyone who has medical appointments or any kind of business in TMC.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. I arrived at 1am Saturday morning (Friday night), went into the bathroom, and there were 10 cockroaches running around the bathroom. Worst first impression I've ever had and I've flown over 5m miles. Front Desk seemed concerned but they were full and I had to get up at 7 so I really had to crash there. Well, here I am Sunday night and there are still roaches in the room. I've counted 9 in the last 20 minutes. I called the Front Desk and they didn't give a damn. The answer was "you can talk to the manager at 8am." I've stayed in hundreds of hotels in dozens of countries and this one is dead last. This place is why the phrase "roach motel" exists. They couldn't pay me to come back. Stay far away!

This hotel was amazing especially the front desk employees specifically Ms.Ashley , She was so sweet even while I had a million questions. She also went out of her to give me ideas and things to do while visiting here in Houston . Another employee that stood out for me was the shuttle driver Mr.Gary , he was very sweet and made very nice conversation with his passengers . This is will definitely be my hotel of choice for when I visit again 👍🏻.

Our AC unit was not working, and within half an hour, Henderson (our Maintenance Tech), had replaced the entire unit. He was friendly, fast, and stayed to help us even though he was supposed to leave for the day. I hope Mainstay takes care of him the way he took care of us.

Stay away!!!! This place is a dump! Started with the strong smell of urine in hallway. The room was outdated, which for the price is understandable. What isn't ok was the roaches( We saw at least 9) the blood on the walls, the mold and stains on the mattress, the sink that wouldn't drain and the shower that wouldn't work. When told front desk didn't seem surprised or even cared!! The only pleasant worker was the shuttle driver, who they sent to attempt to fix the shower. STAY AWAY!!!

Nothing luxurious but it was clean and comfortable and a great price for the area. Staff were very friendly. Complementary hot breakfast was a nice touch. This last sentence is to hit the 200 character minimum.
