The DoubleTree by Hilton Houston Medical Center Hotel & Suites is acclaimed for its strategic location and convenient shuttle service, making it a hit with travelers visiting nearby essential destinations. Guests consistently praise the hotel for its cleanliness, modern bathrooms, and comfortable beds. The service is generally regarded as caring and efficient, although there have been occasional lapses.
While the amenities, including pet-friendly policies and shuttle bus, are appreciated, some guests feel the breakfast options could be improved. Despite the positive remarks about the atmosphere and the modern touches in accommodations, concerns about value for money, including high costs and additional charges, are recurrent among guest feedback.

Detailed Reviews
So I want to start off with addressing some of the others not so good reviews I think as realistic customers we have to understand that the hotels have their good days on their bad days with that being said I had a very lovely stay. My mother is very picky when it comes to hotels we used to stay at the Hyatt, which is not a bad hotel, but we changed because they were fully booked. My mother is receiving medical treatment for her thyroid cancer. The rooms were so comfortable and the beds were super soft and comfortable. The shower has very good pressure, hot water and even has a built-in extender to reach places that are hard to reach. The hotel staff were super accommodating and very respectful and helpful. It’s very rare that I come across the housekeeping who greets me politely and helps me with anything. I may need Sonia and her crew were so good at keeping my room clean, which is why I don’t understand when they say they don’t change the sheets Again that was that person‘s experience. I did not experience the same thing I had to leave early and the hotel manager helped me with all of my necessary, needs to check out early and explained to rebook. The only thing I can say about this hotel is that they might want to invest in a microwave to put in the lobby for those guest that don’t have microwaves in their units. A lot of medical patients have special dietary needs and they cannot eat just any type of food and sometimes the rooms with microwaves are not always available. Other than that I think everybody should consider staying here I was given very good service.

I stay at Doubletree regularly and want to express how much I enjoy staying here. One of my favorite things are the staff and how wonderful they make me feel. The breakfast is always amazing. Maria, the woman who does breakfast is like my family. Rowdy is always on time with the shuttle and that’s so important when you need to get back to the room after treatment. We love Double tree. They get five stars in my book. Kristy Moss

Front desk employees were very friendly and accommodating specially Ms Alejandra. Since we were renting the car we drive in, she waited for my wife to walk back to the car and get the License Plate number to complete the necessary form for the hotel parking. Meanwhile, she gave us the delicious two cookies that are offered when we arrive to the hotel and continued to complete our sign in documents, wasting no time, and getting our registration ready in a timely and efficient manner Thank you so very much, Miss Alejandra

The service from your staff at this location tonight was horrible. I booked 5 rooms for 5 nights each along with parking and the hotel sells additional parking for the rodeo which leaves hotel guest with no where to park on property after paying for it. The outside attendant Domingo was rude and condescending when letting us know where “overflow parking” was located. I simply asked if it was free for hotel guests since we had paid already and he said “nothing in this world is free”. This comment was completely unnecessary as we were coming back from work at 9:30pm and just trying to find parking to get into our room for the evening. We eventually parked at the latitude parking garage for what we think is an additional $20 plus tax. When we walked back to the hotel we went to the front desk to ask about getting that fee credited once we pay it. The front desk attendant Javier was finishing up with another guest and we waited. When I begin to ask about the parking fee the other guest came back and asked if he knew the street name that she should look for for the overflow parking and he rolled his eyes and said “Jesus”. At this point I had enough of the rude behavior from this hotels staff and stepped in and asked if he thought that was good customer service. He proceeded to say that he doesn’t know the street names and that he’s been here all day and shouldn’t have to do everything for everyone. I called him by his name and said that’s what customer service is. He then took off his name tag and placed it in his jacket pocket. I then recorded the next interaction of sling the same question about overflow parking. He proceeded to answer the question fairly politely as he knew he was being recorded. I asked for his name and he said he didn’t know. I asked about his name tag and he said he lost it. While leaving the counter another front desk employee walked up named Aldi and I let him know that Javier needed a new name tag because he had just lost it. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a Hilton property and at any establishment in general. This is our first night of 5 and I’m not looking forward to the rest of my stay here. We are the 3rd group this month to stay here and when I travel with my team we ONLY stay at Hilton properties. If any be time to look into Marriot properties for our business travel. Your team here does not know how to treat customers.

Was there for a week to help my mother and stepfather settle in for a long-term stay for cancer treatment at MD Anderson. The staff was friendly and accommodating, particularly Alejandra who helped set us into the right room and was very assuring and comforting during this difficult time.
The rooms are comfortable, the location and shuttle bus make it a great place to stay if you need access to the medical center.
The shuttle does not run on weekends and the TV has limited channels and no streaming (if that’s important to you).
Hotel is clean, staff is very helpful, food at breakfast and dinner is decent.

Never stay here! One of the worst hotels in Houston. Overpriced and doesn't deliver. Rooms are nice but not worth the price. Parking is the worst part and you get charged per night per vehicle. Parking lot is usually full after 10pm then you have to park at a different hotel that charges more per night.

This was the worst Double Tree I’ve ever stayed at in my life. Before we got to the hotel we called multiple times to see if we could check in early because we have a small child. They didn’t have it but that’s understandable because early check in isn’t guaranteed. We came back during check in time and our room still wasn’t ready. The service clerk, Michael was very kind and upgraded our room for us and because of that I am rating this a 2 star. Everything else is bad: the digital key didn’t work, our crib for our baby wasn’t stable, we had plugs in our room that were damaged and didn’t work, the elevator buttons to call the elevator wouldn’t work, the tv remote didn’t work, the toilet sometimes wouldn’t flush. And at the breakfast buffet (which was just okay) my wife couldn’t come down so I tried to make her a to go box and they charged me another buffet. I am disappointed in the DoubleTree brand because I’ve stayed at many and was a previous diamond member.
