We were in Huntsville with friends and chose this wonderful place as our "home away from home"--and it truly became that. The home is beautiful--walking through the front door was like stepping back in time, but not in a stuffy way. The home is so warm and inviting, and the guest rooms are cozy, comfortable, and attractive--and clean as a...

We had a wonderful stay at the Whistler. The woman who attended us was very kind and sweet. The breakfast was a delicious change from the usual. We at fresh watermelon, fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh ground coffee, and an interesting dish of something that was a mix of a pancake and french toast covered in bananas, strawberries, powdered sugar,...

Our family truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful mansion, which is on a huge, tree covered lot in the center of town. Mrs. Clegg, the homeowner, will help you select the perfect room. We were impressed with the large, spotlessly clean and quiet rooms with nice televisions and wonderful bathrooms with nice amenities. The home has been restored and...

My husband and I chose the Whistler to stay in on our wedding night a year ago. We had never been there before, so we didn't really know what to expect. It exceeded our expectations! Mrs. Clegg is a delightful and pleasant person. The Whistler has been in her family for years. It is gorgeous, inside and out. For our...

A beautiful antebellum mansion that has been well maintained and has been in the same family for all these years. The inkeepers who are part of the family make you feel very welcome and serve a great breakfast. Very quiet, nice porch and grouds for pictrures and strolls. The inside is very picturesque. The rooms are nice, very private and...

When my wife and I approached the Whistler we both were speechless. The house and surroundings were awesome, but that was nothing for what we experienced next. The inside was beautiful and filled with a lot of antiques. Mary Clegg was there to greet us and made us feel at home. Breakfast was served each morning and was very healthy...

My husband and I stayed at The Whistler B&B for two nights in December. We were lucky to have this beautiful fully restored, grand revival style home all to ourselves. The outstanding hostesses Mrs. Mary Mabel Thomason Clegg and her daughter Mary provided us with individualized attention. Mrs. Clegg delighted us with stories of growing up in the 150 year...

We were pleased to find this at the last moment for a Labor Day weekend stay. It is in the center of town, but still secluded. The home is still as it was 150 years ago with the exception of air conditioning and up graded baths for each room. A most enjoyable stay for the two nights we were there....
