My new bride and I booked our honeymoon getaway at the Beau Rive. Its reputation had preceded it and we were not let down. Our host Mark made sure we were well taken care of during the entire stay and his two dogs (Minnie and Florence) looked after us the rest of the time. Our favorite moment with the dogs...

We stayed at the Beau Rive for five nights and it was just perfect. Mark, the owner, does everything he can to make your stay relaxing and memorable. The food is top notch and everything is so fresh. Mark makes you feel that you are apart of his family as soon as you walk through the door. We already miss...

Situated on a hillside amongst the lush rainforest with views down to the sea Beau Rive is a quiet, relaxed and informal with food is excellent. Breakfast is simple and healthy lots of...

Beau Rive is one of the few places in the world where you do not feel like you are in a hotel but in a close friend's house as a guest. We spent 10 days there in December 2008-January 2009 which we thoroughly enjoyed. Starting with the rooms, they are big and airy with great views. The polished floors, high...

Why can’t the whole Carribean be like this? Beau Rive is beautifully located above a dramatic cove of Atlantic breakers, yet it is a tranquil place. It is clearly a labour of love – every space has been thoughtfully created to make the most of the elements. The common areas such as the bar and library are gracefully furnished. This...

We have never returned to the same hotel twice in all of our travels but Beau Rive is the exception. Mark was as ever a dutiful host making sure that we got the best out of the Island. The hotel just gets better, the staff ever more knowledgeable and the food is simply great , we could make a habit...

It has taken a while to get around to writing this review as our experience and views differs to most reviews here. We found the hotel to be great in terms of location and setup, but we didn't find the food to be that great and tended to not know what the meal was until it was served. Meals were...

My wife and I stayed at Beau Rive in mid-May for several days during our honeymoon. We had been in St. Lucia and were put off by the overly touristic feel. As soon as we arrived in Dominica we knew this was the island experience we were looking for. The moment we arrived at the hotel we felt comfortable. The...

My wife and I visited Beau Rive and Dominica for our 5th anniversary. We wanted to recreate our honeymoon minus the tourists, the cookie cutter overpriced hotel and the utter lack of unfriendliness by the locals. Dominica seemed to be the place and Beau Rive seemed to be the Inn at which to stay. I'm happy to report that it...

Escape for real? We hope you will - not only from your own environment but from the increasingly standardized and familiar face of tourism.
