We stayed for two nights. The lobby, bar and courtyard are wonderful and full of ambiance. The western pictures are fun and the photographs of the movie "Giant" are charming to see. The small shops in the hotel are also fun for some shopping. The art gallery is weak, with a show that said it ended in March and this...

Nite before last, we stayed at the El Capitan in Van Horn---Beautiful Experience. The El Paisano in Marfa is owned by the same Family and is also a gorgeous property. The staff is incredibly warm and attentive---right down to the maids and the bartenders. Our room had a small balcony over looking the courtyard and bubbling fountain--- same as we...

WOW! What a fantastic hotel. My husband and I just completed a week long trip out to the Big Bend and far west Texas. One of our nights was spent at the Paisano in Marfa, Texas. The grounds were stunning. The hotel lobby, courtyard, and gift shops were spectacular. The attention to detail was in everything from the Beckman Boys...

Historic hotels nicely maintained have a certain charm. This beauty was built anticipating an oil gusher that never happened. The decor is retro and kitschy with a boar's head mounted in the lobby and photographs from the set of Giant which was filmed there. The rooms are spacious. Comfortable beds, an inviting lobby, great grill room, a cute shopping gallery...

The Hotel Paisano was wonderful! The lobby is so colorful and the courtyard so peaceful. The room was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Seeing all the memorabilia from the filming of the movie, Giant, was lagniappe! Would recommend for those stay in Marfa.

Lovely old hotel with a variety of room types (I've stayed here a few times). Pretty courtyard, good restaurant, large and interesting gift shop, and nice service. Be aware, there are 24 tiled steps to the second floor where the majority of the rooms are located, so travel light-but it's worth the climb.

This hotel is perfect for the person or people that are looking for a romantic get away! This is historic with great amenities. The rooms are very nice...they are not like rooms of the standard hotels of today, they are each a little different and very old feeling, but in a fantastic way! Took me back to traveling with my...

This hotel is super cool. We had five rooms here as a group visiting the Chinati foundation. The setting of the courtyard and the lobby are very elegant old Texas. The wagonwheel chandeliers and terra cotta floors are comfortable and welcoming. My recommendation is that you should stay at this hotel and spend most of your time sucking up the...

Well I sure wasn't expecting this little gem of historical architecture deep in the heart of Texas. It's like stepping back to the Spanish colonial 1920s. Try to imagine Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Husdon and James Dean here in the lobby, because they once were, while filming the movie Giant. The town hasn't changed much over the years either and is...
