We stopped here after a weekend trip to Caprock Canyons State Park. Pretty hotel centrally located in Matador. Updated and clean. Nice bathroom. Mattress had maybe seen better days or just needed to be turned. A little too saggy on the side, To echo an earlier review by someone about the pillows, they were clean but no fluffy ones in...

The hotel is run by 3 sisters who really look after you. The rooms are comfortable with great furnishings. The lounge is great to sit in and enjoy the eclectic books, furnishings and antiques. It is very quiet and we enjoyed sitting in the garden. The breakfast was a highlight, large, different and very tasty. This is not your run...

The Hotel Matador B & B is located in the small, quiet town of Matador in West Texas. The three sisters who operate the B & B are friendly and caring, but not intrusive. The hotel has an atmosphere of historic West Texas and is clean and well-kept. As a solo traveler, I stayed in the Library Room, which is...

This was my first time to attend Bob Wills day in Turkey Texas. The whole weekend was absolutely magnificent and the Matador B&B added mightily to it. Quaint in every way you can think of. Friendly people and great breakfast. Thanks Marilynn, Linda & Caron

Very friendly owners/operators and staff, willing to help and accommodate in any way they can. Lovely rooms, although all but one require ability to climb stairs. Each room is decorated in a theme relating to their family, and the history is quite fascinating. Their breakfasts are exquisite - I have had them several times now and they are just wonderful....

The Matador Hotel B&B was an excellent B&B. The hotel showered you with excellent hospitality, breakfast perfection and a warmth of town, county, and western culture. An excellent place to relax, enjoy the township and enjoy yourself, mind, and spirits. Centrally located - visits many towns and two excellent state parks is easy and enjoyable.

I had to work for a day in Matador. So my husband joined me for an overnight at Hotel Matador. Delightful historical 8-room hotel, beautifully restored by 3 sisters. Quiet, small town with interesting history. Wonderful breakfast! And the best coffee - a local claimed that it was the water. We recommend that you take the road less traveled and...

My husband and I definitely enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Matador. It is so tastefully decorated in a classy, yet typical, West Texas style! Linda and Marilynn make you feel right at home making it a very comfortable place to stay. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed our visit with folks we shared a table with over breakfast....

My mother and I were taking a road trip through West Texas. I accidentally stumbled upon the Hotel Matador B &B online, and so we reserved a room. Our visit to the historic hotel was so memorable. We loved how well preserved it was, and the breakfast the next morning was far better than any commercial hotel. If you want...

My sister and I spent three days here while looking at property in the area. To say this is the back of beyond is putting it mildly. But should you ever find yourself in the Texas panhandle stay here. Owned by three sisters the front looks like something out of an old western. The lobby has comfy seating and a...
