Having got used to the French hotel star rating being meaningless, we are now finding that it is similar in Spain. That this hotel is rated 2 star is ridiculous – its easily three or more. Our lack of Spanish met the receptionist’s lack of English with smiles al round and eventual understanding. And this is the mark of a...

Unexpectedly good and modern comfort, including wifi, very good breakfast and swimming pool. Being inside you're feel as if in museum, but private enough. Even seeing minimum of the city one has a definitely positive impression of it, really having been inside! Great place to stay.

Really lovely, welcoming pleasant staff. Beautifully decorated with lovely bits and pieces everywhere! (a treadle sewing maching outside our room just fitted its place!) It was quirky and fun. Lovely swimming pool and I relaxed on a padded chair round it. Good breakfast, aided by such nice staff! Just a short wander to Plaza Mayor where there was a good...

An old nice hotel in the city center with pool, but unfortunately too few beach chairs. Breakfast OK, but the Spanish way, lots of cakes, no hot dishes. The only complaint was the light in the room, ceiling lights 25 W no reading lights. For older hard to see when you should dress in the evening. Nice staff

Love the place and the staff. Good combination of comfort ,Will defininetely be returning. Nothing to envy with hotels twice the cost in town. Plus easy parking lot around the corner. Easy going rest, loved it

Only about a block and a half away from the main square in Almagro, this lovely XVI century building in the historic section is a quiet hotel with a central patio where breakfast is served in the morning. It´s not hard to park nearby and there are rooms on the ground floor if you cannot manage steps. There is a...

I stayed at Casa Grande in July 2013 with my wife and two children (7 and 10), and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. We came to Almagro for just one night so we could attend a play during the famous summer theatre festival, and we really wished we had booked a few more nights. Casa Grande is a delightful,...

Stayed here for nine nights so we could relax and unwind and also visit the nearby National Parks of De Las Tablas De Damiel and De Las Lagunas De Ruidera. Easy to find using Sat Nav and a free public car park just round the corner. An interesting converted town house, a bit over propped, but with a welcoming atmosphere....

It was not easy to find even with GPS, but it was worth the driving around in narrow streets ( with a big car). When you check in, you are "home". The hotel is full of patios, small rooms and "tons of things" on the walls and on the floor. And not one single piece of "junk" anywhere. All rooms...

“we had superior room with a small balcony and an extra large lounge area shared between 2 rooms overlooking the courtyard, still very reasonable. If you could get a room overlooking the pool it might be even nicer. You can make requests when booking your room.”
